Speed is a fast-paced and exciting card game that can be enjoyed by two players. Here's how to play:
What you'll need:
* Standard deck of cards
* Two players
Setup:
* Shuffle the deck and deal five cards face down to each player.
* Deal the remaining cards face down into two piles in the center of the table, with some space between them. These are the draw piles.
* Place two cards face down in the center of the table, between the draw piles. These are the discard piles.
Gameplay:
* On the count of three, both players simultaneously flip over the top card of each discard pile.
* The goal is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards in your hand and draw pile.
* Players can discard cards from their hand onto either discard pile by placing a card that is one higher or one lower than the top card on that pile. Aces can wrap around to Kings, and Kings can wrap around to Aces.
* If you can't play a card from your hand, you must draw a card from your draw pile. You can only hold five cards in your hand at a time.
* If both draw piles are empty, the discard piles are shuffled together to form new draw piles.
* The first player to discard all their cards shouts "Speed!" and wins the game.
Tips:
* Pay attention to both discard piles and plan your moves ahead.
* Try to memorize the cards that have already been played.
