    RIP John "mountaindog1" Meadows...I've picked up several "pointers" from him. Like you, I follow several You Tube fitness persons, both male and female. If I see something I haven't tried and is not something that would cause me injury, I give it a try or add it to my workouts.

    You can also use the adjustable benches on a smith machine to do seared calf raises. Just move the head rest side towards the bar, put some plates under the base of the bench to elevate the frame. Sit on the bench while resting the front of your foot on the frame. Lower bar to thigh. Adjust then add weight. Great calf work out.

    I developed incredible calves, without having to even try!
    I was severely overweight for years, but I still really hate walking slowly, so I would actually walk at a pace faster than most people jog, even though I was 90 lb overweight.
    Then I went on keto and lost 45 lb in the first 90 days, then went on omad and lost another 40 lb
    So I'm back to the size I should be before I got fat, except I have the calves of a dude that weighed 255 and speed walked everywhere, and like to run stairs for exercise, even though I ate too much for it to matter LOL

    Use heavy weighrs or lightweights high reps

  • @r.e.4640
    @r.e.4640 2 года назад +2

    Try using 6-8 reps instead! This will OVERLOAD your calves so fast, that they will grow beyond belief. And go through a COMPLETE FULL RANGE OF MOTION. This is how Reg Park and Arnold, got their calves up to 20 INCHES FAST!

    • @phoenixrisin2269
      @phoenixrisin2269 2 года назад

      Doesn’t work. Need hi reps like dancers. Arnold used escilene and silicone as well. Mine went from 15-17 “ in two years doing hi rep hold for 2 seconds at top, full stretch with 100-200 reps per day 4 days per week.💪 Arnold did hi rep donkey raises on a stretch board. I made an exact replica.

      @@dylanlopez7901 I occasionally use the seated calf now, but I built my calves doing raises on stairs for high reps. Full stretch 2 second hold at top; 1 start with 50 then in a day or two go to 100 then 150-200 reps. Do as many as you can, straight legs, rest about 30 -45 seconds and continue until you finish reps stretching calves in between sets. I do this at least 4-5 times per week. Blows your calves up💪

    First off using that weight plate does not get you a full stretch(your heal should not be able to reach the ground... make a good calf block using 3 2x4's 1- 24'' and 2 12'' ones for the base... use 6 12 penny nails to nail it together...

    If your biceps are bigger than your calf’s that’s a problem dude me thinks maybe you should look into some shoe lifts and get some calf implants in the meantime bro 😎 👍🏻Make sure when you get your shoe lifts you put them where your toes go !👍🏻 It should look like a reverse high heel. That way you’re working out your calves while you’re walking, just doing regular day 2 day shit … this REALLY WORKS !👍🏻 I have pictures if you need them …. Good luck 🍀

    I'm guessing that you don't need to worry about recovery for calves because you're doing a low number of sets?
    I'll give this a go. I train calves 3-4 times per week (John Meadows recommended) now as it is. Let's do this!
