I married a Ghanaian in 2013. I enjoy the Ghanaian food you showing me how learn to cook it for my husband is wonderful. Thank you so very much. Appreciate so much. Mrs Asante in Alaska
WOW! It just dawned on me that my ancestors have been showing me my roots for s very long, as I enjoy your cooking. As a Eastern Caribbean, we use leaves like that to make our callaloo stew. It is called *dasheen leaves* and the root, *dasheen*, is in the family of yams or potatoes. What a very small world! Africans use Palm oil, we Caribbeans, use coconut oil... family indeed...
I made kontomire stew yesterday and I was just telling myself I don’t think I have ever seen Sweet Adjeley’s kontomire stew recipe only for me to come here today and here it is. Such a simple way to make this.
Wow I bet the Kontomere stew was very delicious. I love the method you used in preparing it, salivating here watching you enjoy it with boiled yams, nice sharing Sweet 💕
Why is no one is talking about the heart whelming music at the back ground.🥰♥️ In as much as i have learnt another twist to my kontomire stew preparation, i also enjoyed every bit of that song played at the background it was everything heavenly..... Thk u my sweet.🙏🥰♥️
Thanks to you I tried your kotomere stew and my husband Loved it infact everyone in the family loved it.thank you so much may God bless you and your family 🙏🙏🙏
That was excellently done. Keeping the leaf in water for it not to die since you couldn’t cook it that same was a good idea. I like your choice of meat or protein and the baked mackerel fish you added. Pairing it with yam and adding aghusi to the stew is absolutely nice. I just like the way you remove some stew for your second son since he don’t like that particular leaf or vegetable. The outcome is superb. Enjoy your weekend sist❤️
I’m enjoying the background music as the ingredients used. I thought you had those leaves in Ghana I was surprised at some of the comments but I’m glad we are all learning from each other
Thanks for the tips! I always thought the kontonmire had to be cooked before.. I didn’t know I could add it to the stew chopped up without cooking ! Thanks so much

Wow I've learnt something new, the onion added to the agusi and how you fried it separately before adding to the kontomere 😀beautifully done as always Sweet, yummilicious will it taste😋👌🏽😍
Please can you add the ingredients list to your post. It would be so much easier so we know what to buy instead of having to watch the entire video twice. Thank you so much. And love your channel pappa x

Aunty please i learnt the agushi that's usually added makes it a palava sauce instead of kontomire stew. So please i wanted to ask if the agushi can be added making it a kontomire stew?
Aunty Adjeley, thank you for the recipe. If I don’t have access to kontimire leaves, do you know of a replacement? Would spinach or collard greens be the next best thing?
I'm now the best cook in my family thanks to you you are a life saver. may God bless you and gives you reasons to smile always

Silly question: but what did you plant to get the kontonmire?
Cocoyam
Is it possible to use any other type of vegetable
what does plain egushi taste like? is it bitter, bland?
Agushi is melon seed, if you’ve ever tasted melon seed it’s like nuts or sunflower seed very delicious not bitter at all 😊
Is egushi, akitiwa in Ghana (melon seeds)?
Please can I use sunflower oil instead of the palm oil?
Sweet Adjeley where can I get kontomire in usa
