I love ari but the rem eyeshadow palettes to me look like 2000's drugstore palettes that you could find in your mom's makeup bag. So far i've only been in interested in the lipsticks but not enough for the price/shipping/taxes

I love ari and some products from her brand but those eyeshadow palettes are horrendous. I got the baby doll palette and there’s no color payoff at all

I’m a huge Ariana fan and I’m so disappointed in these launches. Nothing seems worth the money because drug store brands are far ahead of what they have out right now. I don’t feel like paying for her name on basic makeup 🤷🏻♀️

I had the same point of view for a first time, but after watching reviews and discovering idea of the brand, I realised that we haven't seen something similar before. of course, it depends on your taste and there are always some things, that r.e.m. beauty's crew can work on more etc., but this space 60's futuristic theme feels quite cool 🔭👩🏽🚀

First and foremost, she is just giving her honest opinions so people who don’t have the means to spend on something that’s not going to work don’t end up wasting the money they do have. Every RUclipsr I've watched seems to love the quality of R.E.M products, which is good, but personally, they just don't excite me at all. Especially the eyeshadows. They remind me of budget eyeshadows I would've bought years ago.

I agree about the color stories for the palettes. I dont like any of them, just a couple individual colors throughout them. Hope the next ones are a little more cohesive
Regarding the debate on eye creams being repackaged moisturizer: I'd heard that eye creams are moisturizer with a much higher water content, and that the reason for getting an eye cream is because moisturizers are too heavy for the thin skin around your eyes and can lead to you getting milia!
Correct! I got milli a from using heavier creams around my eyes cause I got lazy and all the skin channels were saying u don't need an eye cream. Each to their own I guess.
I studied cosmetology a long time ago (30+ years!) and we were always told that you should never take ordinary moisturiser above your cheek bones because yep, they cause milia on the delicate skin around your eyes. You should always do the eye socket area first so that even if you do bring moisturiser up too far, the eye cream will act as a sort of barrier cream.

Yeah I’ve heard of so many people who have had bad reactions from using regular moisturizers on and under their eyes
The skin around your eye and on your eyelids is much thinner than the rest of your face, that means a normal moisturiser will clog up the skin and cause problems and it can also seep into your eye and cause irritation! You'd be good using eye cream on your whole face but not the other way round!
This eyeshadow look is giving me such euphoria/ethereal vibes I love it 😍🦋 I’m a big Ari fan but none of her products have made me drawn to purchase them they all look quite basic xx

I feel like REM beauty is just a quic cash grab. The brand stands for nothing but it is known only for the space aesthetic and owned by Ariana. She didn’t gave it her best. Just another quick cash grab
the jelly shadows are like the jelly much from colourpop in case someone wants to buy them for less and have more color options (also if they dry out on you... add some water or setting spray and mix and they'll be fine again)
Idk...this brand has just done nothing for me tbh, I find it quite boring, and it also looks so child like to me, I can't get over it
i think the whole brand is targeted to a classic style buyer with "little moments out of the box", thats why the strange color storys of the shadow palletes, bc theyre giving some classic colors, some with a twist, pared with just one pop. i wouldnt buy the eye shadow palletes, but i would definitley grab the creamy eyeshadows, those look bombbbbb
Soph, you shouldn't use that eyelashes and brow growing product with a makeup, it's better use it as with skin care routine ;-)

Really? You can't blame in general the whole brand for the eyeshadows, the eyeliners, highlighters, and lipsticks are world class, the quality is like silk.

I hate these "independent studies" they do for makeup products. It's usually a trial of 30 people. 😂😂😂 56 seems a lot by comparison but also... I highly doubt.

Ariana’s fragrances are great! I am obsessed with makeup but I just couldn’t get into R.E.M. The packaging looked cheap like convenience store makeup or Walmart christmas makeup gift sets. I get OCD over small things and the logo annoys me when I see it at Ulta. It cheapens the look for the product. Like Fenty or Rare just looks clean with simple text. Anyone remember the paints program on the early Windows Computers with the wavy/rainbow font? It reminds me of this😂She did a great job with her fragrances! The scents and packaging are unique! Unfortunately I can’t see the same effort in the makeup.
i agree, i also cannot get on with some of the products, some of the textures made me gag but i think that’s just me
Oh that whole customer service debacle would just put me off buying anything completely! I don't get what the issue was with sending things out and then (like they did) sending the missing item and for that amount of money that's a bit of a fail for such a big launch!
It’s the Becca invisible foundation and that eye cream looks EXACTLY the same!
Like they literally rebranded the same products. As if Becca didn't sell...had a bunch of inventory...and rebranded it as a primer. (Which is exactly what it does)
I wonder if any internet sleuths can dig and find out if Becca and rem use the same manufacturer/formulator/lab

the price does not match the products … especially the gloss $17+tax for a lip gloss smaller than a barbie brand lip gloss
the eye gloss isn’t the weirdest thing to me because a couple other brands have done it before (i have one from elf that i never use 💀) but it’s mainly for photos and things it is an odd product tho

I don't agree with the color stories in the palletes either. I also think they need to slow down on how much they release. Its their second chapter and there's 6 palletes overall that aren't that different from eachother. I ordered the red and greenish eye gels. I'm interested to try them.
Wait do they not just send parcels to post offices or something if you miss it? In Australia if you miss a parcel you get a not telling you which post office to collect it from (and you get a decent amount of time to do this before they return it) If it's another company like toll or something they have collection areas at convenience stores and service stations so they also give you a note to go collect - although they will try deliver like 2 times first.
I feel the same as you do about the eyeshadow pallets, just very confused by the colour combinations 🤔. But I do love the look of that under eye gel and definitely love the look you came up with, very “Euphoria”-esk👌🏼💜🤩💋

Idk 🤷♂️ forsure but I feel like we all have so many neutral palettes, that r.e.m palettes are like pops of color you want to just add for something extra. 🤔 again idk that's just the vibe i get. If not, I'm kinda lost with the palettes as well.

That's great, I noticed that recently I've hardly gotten any customs on international orders. Not sure if its because I paid tax on the sites, or because it seems like the amount you can spend before customs apply has increased? It used to be anything over 15 pound was fair game but seems much much higher now when I looked it up

i think the point of the weird color scheme is just to sell more 😅 like you said, you'd like to use the shimmer lilac with the matte lilac so it makes you kind of wanting to buy both palettes so you can use both shades... at least i think that is it (?) lmao the team knows well how to build a palette with a color scheme that makes sense and that has one purpose (a palette with neutral brownish tones for nude/daily looks, for example) but just mixed them all lmao

The only lash serum I've tried is grande Lash and it works phenomenally well. I'm intrigued with a few of the r.e.m products. The blush is a pretty colour. -and the clear balm was by Becca

I am not a fan of the cheek/lip balm at all. Almost want a refund. It's kinda pointless.
The lilac shadow makes your blue eyes pop!!! I’d love to see you do a purple look soon!! I’ve got grey eyes with a hint of blue and I always like to see what kind of looks I could do to make the blue come out!!

The spray is not meant to set your makeup! no claims of setting your makeup are made. It's more of a skincare fresh spray just to make you feel nice.

The Becca No Pigment foundation. I loved that one. It just made my skin look softer and smoother.
those cream shadows look and sound exactly like the colourpop jelly much shadows! I loved those and they were like €8, they do dry out after a while but wear for a long time
Hey Soph, 👋 I'm new to this channel. I just wanted to let you know that IS R.E.M. Beauty's Fault. I worked in UPS International for 3 years. The SHIPPER (REM) determines what the CARRIER (UPS, FED EX, Parcel,) can do and not do. I'm think that the SHIPPER determined that after 3 attempts return to SHIPPER, and obviously they did not want the package left at an access point. Probably because of Customs/Brokerage fees Collect on Delivery And there's nothing you can do. In some countries if they attempt to deliver once or 3 times it's ABANDONED (meaning either it gets sold in an auction or destroyed)
i just dont think this is a good quality brand im so sorry lol

People are saying that the products are all basic but I've bought a few and theyre pretty good. Some more than others, and some ingridients arent good in some products but the makeup overall is pretty good! I 100% agree that theyre wayyy overpriced, though.

I think you are thinking of the Becca Zero something it was a frosted jar and it actually looks just like the one you are testing only the other one was foundation I think if I'm not wrong.

PLEASE try setting spray on a large fluffy brush, and carefully press onto face. Sooooo much better than starting directly and saves it getting into your mouth/eyes amd doesn't matter I the mist isn't great. It's an absolute game changer!!!!

The pallettes are so 00s. I def had a no7 pallette with similar shades in when I was a teen. I'm not really am Arianna fan tbh and I don't think I'd bother getting any of the bits. None of it seems amazing. X
LOVE the idea of the setting spray (especially for dry skin) but, watching it work so effectively at taking off the lip stain has me feeling like it would breakdown your face makeup during the day and make it come off quicker than if you didn't apply it. I feel the same way with the colour stories of the palettes, they seem to not really make sense together at all? As always, loved the video Soph! :)

I’m not into the aesthetic of this brand whatsoever. The promo photos seem cute and then the actual products really don’t. Especially the eye shadow palettes. Yuck.
And as for the eye primer, it’s even the exact same shape bottle as the Becca zero pigmentation primer. Like it’s essentially the same thing but I suppose rem is actually calling it what it is
I’ll never buy anything other than something I can get off the shelf at work at ULTA so I live vicariously through my RUclips beauty gurus ♡
