    Ooh, my favorite example of this is "Got you" to "Gotcha", because it's become so common that we have phrases like "gotcha moment" and "gotcha journalism"!

    They've been teaching us till now that the English pronounce sounds clearly, firmly, just like in the dictionary. Oh Dear, the years of learning English were in vain!) Actually, this way will do as well. The main problem of assimilation is that sometimes connected English words remind our indecent ones, but that adds more fun.)

    Hi Emma! Thank you for explaining so clearly everything unclear for me about English pronunciation, finally. I finally know how to pronounce the 'th', the 'r' 't' and 'd'... And now the connection between words - seems to be so important to sound normally in English. Thank you ❤️

    Ohh, thank you so much, Emma. This was an incredibly useful video! I should admit that the third sound, in particular, was really challenging for me to pronounce, but I tried to stick around until the end to practise it several times to get easier.

    Fantastic video at an advanced level.
    I think many learners find difficult to combine j sound in assimilation. Hope to learn more this tricky /j/ sound in the future.
