    Ghost of Sparta is amazing! The graphics look really similar to God of War 2. The way the framerates, textures, and animation is played out is very good. 10/10 would play again.

      KidGaijin You summed it up perfectly! 😊 I didn't think it was possible for Sony to visually top God of War- Chains of Olympus on PSP, but they did. Ghost of Sparta was the most incredible 4 hour plus action game I've had the pleasure of playing through. When I put this video together, I didn't know which parts I wanted to show, so over 3 days I played through the whole game again, and recorded all of it for this 2 min segment.
      The rain effects blew my mind when I saw them on the PSP. Then Sony used a slightly simplified PS2 Kratos player model and added more effects, which included dirt and blood. It ran smoothly and in HD, it even tops some of the best elements of the PS2 games visually. What made it work so well was how concise it was, there was literally no filler. Everything felt epic from beginning to end. I kept thinking, how are they going to top that? Then they did. The boat sequence with all of the enemies attacking you while you're in a rain storm pushed the limits of how much the PSP could render on screen.

      Thank you! I truly appreciate it! As far as GTA, it's easy for me to acknowledge the sheer amount of time, dedication, energy and work which all go into making the games, as well as why so many people love it. It's use of time periods, 80's Miami etc., themes and licensed music also became a standard in terms of production value. GTA also found a great way to incorporate elements of Crazy Taxi and Shenmue along with action shooting games of the time into one game.
      Despite all of that, I'm one of the few people who never enjoyed any of the them visually or game-play wise. There were always games which felt more solid to me. Shenmue had more intricately detailed elements in it well before GTA changed from top down over head game-play, to a full on open world game in GTA 3. The Getaway on PS2 had tighter visuals, driving and shooting game-play right after GTA's initial release. By the time the newer GTA games came out, Sleeping Dogs, Mafia 2, Saint's Row 3 and the Batman Arkham series had better visuals, combat/fighting sequences and exciting environments in my humble opinion, with Sleeping Dogs adding better driving to that list too. As a result GTA, for me at least, was a jack of all trades and a master of none.

      SirLumberjack Thank you very much! That means allot to me, as there are some games that made it onto my list that didn't sell allot of copies, but had incredible visuals and great game-play. The 3rd Birthday is a good example, as is Naruto on PSP, which sold less than Dragon Ball Z did. The thing is, while this is a visuals list, I always try to put some cool game-play moments in too, as the games on this list are not only really great examples of the PSP's tech capabilities, but fun games in general.

      +zeron82411 Funny you mentioned that, I actually recorded a ton of game-play clips of that game in HD for this video. It was a tricky balancing act of figuring out how to put it all together, but I saw my friend TJ playing Square Enix's 3rd Birthday on PSP and when I made an ISO of it for PPSSPP, it really floored me in HD. For starters it was so visually consistent from scene to scene that it took other Squre Enix titles like Crisis Core and Birth By Sleep, which does indeed have arguably better art direction at least in my eyes, out of my initial top 5 list. On another note, as a tribute to the lack of Finial Fantasy games on here, I went out of my way to play 3rd Birthday, the follow up to Parasite Eve 1-2 on PS-One, with Aya Brea, the main character, in her un-lockable Final Fantasy XIII "Lightening" costume.

    I wish sony would have gone the extra mile to put a better sound card in the psp. the sounds can be underwhelming. But the psp was so amazing. I had one and most other kids at my school had a ds. while i was playing daxter and secret agent clank (both games that look like ps2 games) everyone else was playing mario 64 ds

      The PSP really was ahead of its time. I worked at GameStop at the time it came out and we couldn't believe how incredible it was when we tested it out in the display case before it went on sale. Sony usually overstates system specs.
      Sony's PSP specs however, were relatively honest and accurate. That being said, my guess in regards to the audio is that making it too powerful was probably a design decision due to where people typically play portable systems. For example, crowded areas and public transportation which is actually a completely quiet experience in Japan. The PSP sounds way better with headphones than through its speakers which may solidify that theory.

      You'd be surprised but you can get fantastic results at any budget these days. I bought a refurbished $120 HP small form factor Intel core2quad powered PC from NewEgg, added a little 6670 gpu for $80 at the time, and spent $65 for 16 gigs of ram. So for $265 total, I had a PC roughly the size of a large PS3 that played PS2, PSP, Dreamcast and virtually all of my old systems in HD. In addition, it played PC versions of Multiplatform 360 and PS3 games like Devil May Cry 4 and Crysis 2 at higher resolutions and frame rates using a wireless 360 pad. This was back in 2011 or so, and I still use it now when my girlfriend is using the tv the PC I built in the description is hooked up to.
      It's surprising but if you temper expectations, you can get great results with low cost parts for small PC builds or even older pre-built PCs. That little PC has even served as my go to sometimes for at home graphic design assignments.

      Thank you! Your kind words are greatly appreciated! Some of these PSP games, such as God of War and Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker have been in HD PS3 collections. The God of War PS3 HD collection has the PSP versions in true 1080p, while the PS2 versions are 720p stretched to 1080p. The MGS collection features all of the games, PSP included, in 720p.

      @ArtofZenDigital  8 лет назад +2

      Tekken 6 looks so good on PSP that I still can't believe that 6 was so close in terms of backgrounds and animation, to it's then next gen console versions. One of my first videos was a comparison between Tekken 6 on the PSP emulator and Tekken 6 on PS3. I've learned allot since then, video composition wise, but it shows how close the port was visually.

    These psp games look beautiful in hd.

    • @ArtofZenDigital
      @ArtofZenDigital  9 лет назад

      They really do! The reason I want to re-upload this in 2k is so that people can see it as it looked on my screen before RUclips compressed it. The colors are truly vibrant which gives me the same feeling I had when I first saw the DreamCast, a system which was known for sharp, colorful arcade style games. This is something that's missing now. It's really apparent with Daxter, Naruto which is fitting given the source material, MoterStorm and WipeOut.
      Outside of retro titles, allot of games these days go for dark, Infamous Second Sun was a nice break from that though, as a newer title with a beautiful color palette in both day and night scenes.

  • @ElricSowrd

    3:00- If you want to play Tekken 6 in HD, just play the PS3 or XBOX 360 version.
    6:23- There's also the God Of War Origins that you can play this on.

    • @ArtofZenDigital
      @ArtofZenDigital  9 лет назад

      To respond this is also in the descriptor notes, but since I didn't add commentary, they got a little bit long, so most people probably didn't read through them :(
      That being said, this video was designed to show how PSP games look in HD, but in regards to Tekken 6, I have it on PS3 and PSP and the PS3 and 360 versions were subject to a debate on sub HD games because they are not even actually even 720p.
      www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-tekken6-resolution-game-blog-post
      In fact, most PS3 games outside of small network ones like Tekken Dark Resurrection and Stardust HD which were both native 1080p, are 720p and bellow. I also have the original God of War HD collection plus the original PS2 games. God of War 1-2 are 720p on both sets, however the PSP ones are actually native 1080p. They both look far sharper via PPSSPP though as they are 2k at 5x PSP. To be fair, I compared Tekken 6 on PPSSPP vs PS3, and it's obviously more realistic on PS3 as PSP is closer to PS2.

      It really does! It’s incredible looking when it’s upscaled, and it already looked great on PSP as well. Having done some research on it before putting it into this video, you can find a little more info on it in the description. In short, it describes how it’s one of the rare PSP titles to use dual shifting images to create the illusion of anti-aliasing.
      There’s an odd side effect of that though, without adjusting the settings properly on the emulator, it was blurry looking even when playing it at 4-5 times the original PSP’s resolution. Once I found the right settings for Gran Turismo to remove that effect from the recorded gameplay, it looked the way you see it here. Thanks for watching, it’s greatly appreciated! Best wishes!

I'm happy you mentioned the settings, there was a comment on the other part about settings and because of the Google plus system on RUclips, I couldn't reply. I'll be posting up a video with the settings since PPSSPP version 1 has an option for settings locked in per game. It makes it easier to show that way.

      Since I was in an accident, it's been hard to narrate, but I'm trying. My goal was to have a 4-6 part Sega DreamCast series up for the summer, but it didn't work out. The edits are mostly done but only 6 out of 25 games have commentary.

    Back in the days I was very impressed with the graphics of Midnight Club L.A. Remix and Tekken: Dark Resurrection. For me, Dark Resurrection still looks more appealing than the PSP version of Tekken 6. But oh well, graphics still aren't everything. When it comes to pure graphic power Ridge Racer already was an outstandig looking starting title for the console. Still the games that were most eyecandish for me are the DJ Max Games, especially the last one, Portable 3.

    • @ArtofZenDigital
      @ArtofZenDigital  9 лет назад

      Docthorr Blitzkraft Midnight Club looks great on PSP, though I've found that when viewed on an emulator, Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition holds up, texture wise, a little more clearly. On an actual PSP, Tekken Dark Resurrection actually looks a little cleaner. It's via emulation though, that the added details stages like electric fountain with it's intricate lighting and brickwork really shine though and show how many little details were really included. The effects also go into the water wall under the cemetery stage, or the helicopter landing stage with the incredible rain and lightening effects, which I never thought would make it over to the PSP from the PS3 version. Ridge Racer is a great looking game though... On PSP it's in my top 12 visually. DJMax, I'll have to check out as I've yet to play those.

      I definitely agree. I's an incredible game with great UK style art direction aesthetics. I think that the clean art direction, combined with how sharp it looks when emulated, make the game look comparable to a high end downloadable PS3 game, or a really well made iOS or Android title.

      I would have to say that honor goes to Tomb Raider Anniversary. That's such a well ported game, that I'd say in HD on PPSSPP it looks incredible. I probably should've done 11 games on this list like I did with the PS2 one to include it. Visually there are some moments that make you forget that it's a PSP game. There's also Tomb Raider Legend which looks and plays very well. It's shorter game wise though, and the puzzles are more straightforward.

      That would be Square Enix's "The 3rd Birthday" which is a strange title for a game that's essentially another Parasite Eve game with the same main character, Aya Breed. She looks different in my video as I'm using her Final Fantasy 13 Lightening costume as a concession for not including Final Fantasy. It's a really fun game, and it plays as a realtime battle based action RPG.

  • @LimitBreak999
    @LimitBreak999 9 лет назад +1

    I think Final Fantasy Dissidia & Crisis core should be on that list. you should also check the SOCOM U.S. navy seal portable, Gundam vs gundam next plus, Street supremacy, and God Eater Burst. for me, they have a really good graphics

    • @ArtofZenDigital
      @ArtofZenDigital  9 лет назад

      jeffrey dingle Thanks for that! I'm working on an honorable mentions list as the original list was intended to be a top 20 4 part series. Final Fantasy Crisis Core was a tricky one, it's beautiful looking visually, but it's massive scale made it difficult to have as detailed environments as the 3rd Birthday, yet another of the many great looking Square games on PSP. Street Supremacy I'll have to check out, as I didn't know about that game! God of War Ghosts of Sparta really made the process take awhile as I played it all the way through to get all of literally 2 mins of game-play clips. That game is such a focused and fun experience, and you easily forget it's a hand-held game. It's quite short though, but that makes it's pacing seem really tight.

    Nice list but I think naruto should have been in top 5 because of how smooth it is

    • @ArtofZenDigital
      @ArtofZenDigital  9 лет назад

      Thanks for watching!!! It was a difficult thing to figure out where each game belonged on my list. Naruto just looks so great, clean, and as you mentioned smooth in terms of animation, that it had to be in my video. It also looks much better than the PSP Dragon Ball Z games when played in HD.
      Naruto also utilized cell shading extremely well. Whenever cell shading is used properly, the look is literally timeless. Jet Set Radio, the godfather of cell shading, released in 1999 on dreamcast, is still one of the best looking games around in my humble opinion.
      After playing Daxter which handles platforming, action and vehicle sections well, and then Motor Storm which has some really incredible effects, it was even harder to place Naruto though despite how great and consistent it looks.

      Note, most of these games are available on PSN for PS-Vita though, which is a great option. It's only bad if you already bought them on UMD discs for PSP, then you're essentially rebutting them without any up-scale feature. One benefit there though is, you can add dual analog camera control to games like '3rd birthday' using the napping feature on the PS-Vita!

    How do you upscale to full HD???

    • @ArtofZenDigital
      @ArtofZenDigital  10 лет назад +2

      Thanks for watching! As for your question, in actuality, the emulator doesn't really upscale anything save for the textures. It actually renders all the polygons at resolutions of up to 10x PSP, which is 10x's 480x272, or in Auto 1:1, which is whatever your monitor's resolution is. Consoles have games which in the case of PS3 for example, are usually natively rendered at 720p. A scaler, such as the one on the PS3 and 360, simply stretches the picture beyond it's native resolution to fit your screen. This is why allot of 720p PS3 and 360 games look blurrier on 1080p screens. PPSSPP, the PSP emulator on the other hand, forces the games to render at whatever resolution is available in the settings tab, rather then simply stretching it, which would result in blurry images. God of War collection on PS3 which features the PS2 games rendered in 720p, and the PSP games at a full 1080p 60 fps uses the rendering method.

    You forgot soulcalubur, Modnation racers, little big planet and gta. They might not look like much know but these games were very impressive during the psp era gta was ps2 graphics in a handheld, and the rest were in between ps2/ps3 graphics on a handheld

    • @ArtofZenDigital
      @ArtofZenDigital  6 лет назад

      GOLDENSPIKE3000 I went through each one of the games you listed as possibilities. Soul Calibur looks great, but the background detail and textures, when scaled up, don’t hold up the way Tekken 6 does. There’s something incredible in regards to how stunning the waterfall stage in Tekken 6 is on PSP. When it’s scaled up, you see every brick and the floor has some of the water reflections, as well as the fountain splashes and statues from the PS3 version. In Soul Calibur, the details in the background turn into a messy array of colors that are blurred. On the PSP smaller screen, it’s harder to see that though. It still doesn’t take away from how nice it looks overall though. Now ModNation racers and Little Big Planet were also titles I recorded about an hour of gameplay from each. The only thing with those is, if you compare ModNation to Gran Turismo or Burn Out and Motor Storm, it looks basic by comparison. It’s great looking, but I’d only place it in a top 20 list.
      Little BigPlanet is nice looking, especially when scaled up, but when you do that, the more polygonal look of the character models stands out when you think of the plush toy look and feel of the PS3 version. Since the game takes place on a 2D plane with background jumping, I choose Naruto instead. It features the same style in that regard, and even has a non 1 on 1 quest based game as an option to play. Now with GTA, as great as both PSP titles looked, they have a hard time competing with Metal Gear Solid which has to render a mini jungle on the PSP, and it can’t hold up to the 3rd Birthday, which features much better 3D model quality and textures. The PSP was technically inferior to the PS2 in every regard save for how it handled textures. It’s texture System was far less complicated to use than the PS2, which had to stream in textures to deal with its very limited texture memory. It’s why you don’t see texture mods for PS2 games, despite its excellent emulation state. Now that being said, the Dreamcast had higher texture memory, and in some cases, of you compare Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast to Soul Calibur on the PSP, the Dreamcast version wins out. Now if you compare Tekken 6 on the PSP to Soul Calibur, it’s a tougher fight. Developers had to figure out how to use the PSPs strengths to get the best performance out of it. The reason why it was a little easier is that Sony made it far less complicated than the PS2 in terms of how you programmed for it, and how 3d objects and effects were handled. It didn’t have a complex graphics “emotion engine” Co-Processor like the PS2 did. It’s why the jungle has less density and far less complex effects like mud pooling up on Solid Snake, or real time individual grass blade deformation. The player models were also more polygonal looking too. The best looking PSP title, God of War Ghost of Sparta had a fixed camera angle, so only the main player models and small parts of the backgrounds had to be rendered. They used a few tricks to make blood pool up on Kratos, and the rain was a repeating, transparent tile map. It worked beautifully to create illusions. Using that texture trick is something the PS2 could theoretically do, but it would be hard due to how it handles textures. The final results were the closest seen to the PS2. Monster Hunter and Daxter were another set of technical achievements, especially with the detailed fur textures they used both games. The 3rd Birthday comes to mind as well, having used a more advanced engine than the one Square Enix had for the previous PSP Final Fantasy titles.
      There’s a reason why games like Shadow of the Colossus and Final Fantasy 12 never made it to the PSP, unlike God of War, there were 3d models and effects that were far too complex for the PSP. They had an insanely high budget to make Metal Gear Solid on the PSP, it looks great, but it can’t hold a candle to the far more realistic player models and dense foliage of MGS Snake Eater on PS2.

      Thanks, I appreciate it! It took allot time to put together. As for the Vita, I think that it has great potential from a hardware perspective, however it started it's life as home to ports of games that are better served socially on consoles like Call of Duty. Because of that it got off to a slow start, and now has allot of great indie titles and very few Triple A style games. The DS has incredible games, as does the PSP, the 3ds is up there too and it's only getting better. I agree with The DS and PSP being great handhelds, and I'd add to that the Gameboy Advance which was a 2D fanatics dream, though I feel like the PSP took the portable fighting game crown in both 2D and 3D.

    what's the genre of third birthday?

    • @ArtofZenDigital
      @ArtofZenDigital  8 лет назад

      Brix Joy Studio Third Birthday is an Action Adventure RPG. It has allot of leveling and it's really pretty difficult in the beginning. There's also allot to unlock as you progress, which includes the Final Fantasy 13 Lightening costume that you see here.
      I played and recorded allot of Square Enix games on PSP, such as Final Fantasy Crisis Core, and overall, visually, as nice as it looks, it doesn't beat the presentation of their incredible looking 3rd Birthday. To offset the lack Final Fantasy in this series, I made sure to use the Lightening outfit for Aya Breed, the main character. 3rd Birthday is also an Action RPG oriented part of the PlayStation One's traditional RPG series Parasite Eve, where you also play as Aya Breed. Those games had pre-rendered backdrops, much like Final Fantasy 7 and Resident Evil 1-3, with turn based RPG battles, which are a big contrast to the real-time battles you encounter in 3rd Birthday, the 3rd Parasite Eve Game in the franchise.

      My apologies for not responding sooner, it's been a hectic few days! The game is called 3rd Birthday, it's an incredible looking and playing Action/RPG game made by Square Enix that functions as a sequel to Parasite Eve 1 and 2 on PlayStation One. Those games share the main character Aya Breed, but in a more traditional turn based RPG combat manor.
      As I'm not too keen on turn based RPGs myself, I prefer 3rd Birthday and Final Fantasy 12 to Parasite Eve 1-2 and Final Fantasy 7. I'm sure that I'm in the minority on that though, as most people prefer the turn based Final Fantasy 7 and the similar style that Parasite Eve 1-2 had.

It looks great on PSP too, as it's one of the few games that ever used screen shifting at 60 fps to create the illusion of anti-aliasing. It happens so quickly that it's not noticeable, but the results are really sharp on the PSP, save for the PSP 3000 models which were interlaced.

    • @ArtofZenDigital
      @ArtofZenDigital  9 лет назад

      +Cameron Myers Thank you so much! I'm happy you enjoyed it! Hopefully you got to see part 1 too! Gran Turismo on PSP, in addition to looking almost real at times, is incredible for allot of reasons, but what Polyphony did to make it look as sharp as it did on an actual PSP is pretty inventive. They shifted the on screen image back and forth by one pixel for each frame at 60fps. At the original 480x272 PSP resolution, this wasn't noticeable at all which helped remove the look of jagged edges. It can be seen on the actual emulator though if you play it at native resolution, or just slightly above that.
      As for Vice city it's also really great looking on PSP. I feel the GTA games show off the PSP's capabilities more so than it did on the PS2, where there were allot of really impressive looking games from a technical standpoint like Metal Gear Solid 2-3 and many others. Where there were some compromises, such as more simple character models for Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker on PSP than PS2 Metal Gear games, GTA Vice City looked just as good as GTA 3.

    • @ArtofZenDigital
      @ArtofZenDigital  10 лет назад

      This is very true, in general Sony's first party studios usually get the most out of the hardware. Having just uploaded the video, and seeing it in 1080p on RUclips though, it's rough to see just how much compression the God of War clips went through. It's a shame since God of War on PSP has some incredible rain and fog effects which look clear in the final video file, yet on RUclips, it looks like a blurry mess. What's more strange is that the Gran Turismo clips look so sharp by comparison. Thank for both watching and subscribing, I appreciate it!

  • @3dmarth

    Not sure what happened, but these videos are all 30fps, even when watching in 720p60. Aren't most of these games actually supposed to be running at 60?

    • @ArtofZenDigital
      @ArtofZenDigital  8 лет назад

      3dmarth It may be an issue with RUclips encoding as all of them were recorded and played at 60 fps. Initially I titled them without 60 fps as RUclips didn't give me the option. Then it noted that my videos were updated, and at the time that happened, it was only on google chrome. Then a few months later, Firefox and essentially other browsers as well. This could be why that happened.
      I wish that it was accepted as such initially. You can see it better in the tekken clip here, as it's smoother for me in Firefox than the first tekken 6 PSP video I made that was played and recorded at 1080p 60, with 5x PSP upscaling making the resolution technically far higher than 1080p, but exported as a video at 30fps. I use very spammy characters as you can see... Eddie Gordo is awesome, but it's definitely visibly smoother in this video.

    • @3dmarth
      @3dmarth 8 лет назад

      Yeah, the Tekken clip did look strangely smooth at times, but not consistently- almost like it's fluctuating in the 40s instead of 60.
      Oh, well, it's still an impressive lineup of game footage. I'll have to check out some more videos on your channel!
      PS: You mentioned that all of the games were recorded at 60fps. Does that mean that they all run at 60? I imagined The 3rd Birthday, at least, to run at only 30, but I've never played it.

      The Vita may be great, but Sony's neglected it heavily in the US. In Japan, it receives regular titles in a wide range of genres. It's a shame as it's quite powerful and well built all around. The 360 has allot of great games by comparison, but as someone else stated, the Xbox One S is a great choice too. Honestly, this generation was a disappointment to me on so many levels. There was a lack of great quality first party games on both platforms before they announced the PS4 pro, Xbox One S and even now the Scorpio. The PS4 will get the same releases as the PS4 pro, and the Scorpio will get the same ones as the Xbox One/Slim.

      I'll definitely check it out, it looks like a far, far better version of a game that I had on the Sega Game Gear called Chase H.Q. made by Taito. The box art on Game Gear version is one of the early 90's hand painted covers which looks alright, but if you want to laugh, google Sega Master System Chase H.Q. The cover is crazy looking. The Arcade flyer on the other hand resembles something you might see on Chuck Noris box art from the 80's, and the old arcade ad poster looks like a 70's buddy cop movie with a guy who loosely resembles Burt Renolds down to the mustache.

      The thing that RUclips needs to fix though, is the comment system. jason dubiau I'm going to try to work on that when I can. I also just went over a list with my friend D for an early Top 5 Best PS4 Graphics video. I know they will be better looking games coming for PS4, but I think it would show how far it's come since it was released.

      jason dubiau Ahh yes. It's almost done. I'll probably get flack for this, but, I bought The Order recently, and it has very bad artificial intelligence, and some of the weakest gameplay I've played recently. The first stage has about 2 mins of gameplay. There are even parts that I wouldn't consider actual QTE's, but just an excuse to press "Triangle" and wait for the next similar moment to occur. It does look great though.

      Thanks for watching! Shattered Memories looks great, as does another game called Obscure the Aftermath which I actually heard about through a great comment on this series.
      When putting together the top 5 part of this list though, the games I choose looked just as good as many of the better looking games on PS2 when played in HD. Shattered Memories is really no exception to that either, but for me it came down to Square Enix's 3rd Birthday. It renders so many things beautifully in both dark and light scenarios from the snowy intro to the detailed brightly lit club. In the other part of this video, despite having blockier player models than Silent Hill, Metal Gear Peace Walker comes as close to rendering a lush jungle as the PSP ever could, despite falling short of the PS2's amazing looking Metal Gear Solid 3, which is a difficult and huge achievement.

      Muhd Iqbal Thanks for watching! Dragon Ball Z - Tag Team is really truly great looking game, for me though, I choose Naruto - Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 because it's so densely detailed and it looks great as a result when scaled in HD, as well as on the PSP's screen. Some of the backgrounds had allot of really nice elements going on as well, with the ability to jump into the background planes. Game-play wise though, Dragon Ball Z - Tag Team wins in my eyes at least.

    what about dantes inferno?

    • @ArtofZenDigital
      @ArtofZenDigital  10 лет назад

      That's a tricky one, I played through it and it had some good art direction, but too much shock value for shock value sake. Also, while God of War owes allot of it's dynamic action game-play to the original PS2 Devil May Cry, Dante's Inferno owes all of its game-play and camera angles to God of War. The production values can't touch God of War though. Seeing Dante's Inferno on PSP next to God of War Ghost of Sparta, they almost visually look like they're on two different systems.

    how can u not include Monster Hunter ???

    • @ArtofZenDigital
      @ArtofZenDigital  8 лет назад

      Monster Hunter was one that I played through and even recorded allot of footage for. It's a great looking game but the early stages and ice mount oand looked uneven in comparison to the rest of the stages which have some amazing boss battles. In my humble opinion, it's easily in my top 15. I feel like having played through The Third Birthday on PSP, that game had not only boss scale, but console quality consistency throughout. It had great lighting and animation too.
      One thing Monster Hunter 3 does really well though, is ornate detail in certain areas. This was tricky to put together as there are so many great games, I made a top 20 version of this series that I never uploaded, and it has most of the voice overs done, but my accident prevented me from completing it. The DreamCast set is a top 25 plus top 5 sports game graphics series that's all editing and scripted, but I only recorded the audio for 5 games also due to the accident.
