I did not expect Thomas to show up in this video! Great to see this collaboration. My only problem with KnipeXTEND is that I now want to buy a bunch of new pliers. 😅
I love it, especially that you’re essentially opening up to the community, allowing them to be creative with your products. This approach is genius for expanding your brand’s recognition. Is there any chance we’ll see comfort grips on the 125mm Cobra and the 8603125 at some point?
Hi @timkeller687, our aim is to convert all red-blue two-component handles first before we embark on the next major handle project. But stay tuned and keep an eye on our channels.

I loved standardized extension features like this! I predict other companies will copy Knipextend. Being able to securely attach labels, lanyards, magnets, belt clips, and even a tape dispenser is AMAZING! Everyone loves Knipex, and this makes Knipex tools even cooler. Keep up the good work, team! 👏👏👏
Very interesting! I would make opening springs with a locking feature for my pliers. Imagine tools getting even more modular and being able to create your own tools like Legos for adults 😂
The 3D Printing of specialized equipment for the Best Pliers is now super easy. Great Job Knipex 👍 Maybe a tray for some crimping dies or ferules on the Plier are now possible. Or a worklight for dark environments.
I love all my Knipex tools they make all my tasks much more enjoyable to use ,and please never give up quality by sending manufacturing to China the quantity will go down very fast if that happens, Im just a home user but im very happy to pay more for very quality tools.
Yes. The company's reputation will then start to degrade rapidly. It happened to many other big companies, unfortunately.. But I think Knipex will stay loyal to their homeland production.
A KnipeXtend clip to hold the handles from spreading when not in use and out of the way when being used. It will be a while before I replace my many existing Knipex Comfort Grip tools, but I look forward to purchasing anything new with the new grip.
Would love to add a small set of pliers to the Knipex family with a split ring tooth on the end. The addition of a lanyard attach point and a cutting edge near the pivot would be stellar! It would take prized possession in my fishing tackle box ! There is a significant crossover wherever I’ve been of trades people and fishers…. And nothing else on the market is anywhere near as good as my Knipex tools.

Many thanks for this news. I love my Cobra 125 as a tool to carry around. I can only think of one way to improve it and the Cobra family. Add a socket for 1/4" or 4 mm screw driver bits. It could also serve as a lanyard hole.
Great tools, this new handle is great. I'll wait for the VDE version. A little non contact voltage detector accessory attached to the handle would be nice. Not a new idea, but it's a possibility. I'm already using the new ratcheting cable knife, great tool. Waiting for new updates. 👍👍👍👍
The one thing missing from the Knipex lineup, are a non insulated screwdriver range. If you only carry insulated drivers, they tend to get used as hammers/chisels etc. By having both, you eliminate the dangers of your insulated drivers getting damaged and thus compromised. Wera have a good range, plenty of mechanical engineers like myself would buy a Knipex version. The green/black Wera drivers are extremely popular, and engineers like myself would buy both Knipex sets. PS The plain red handles are my favourite, as you said, so easy to keep clean. 👍
