Thank you very much Dan! After watching all your videos, for a few iterations, I passed the interviews and the loop, and eventually got an offer from Amazon. To emphasize to all candidates, the most important thing is to know your stuff. However, if you are a top skill but lack the leadership principles, then you will not succeed in the interviews. So you should prepare with stories for each of the leadership principles, and be very serious about it.

Might as well say something like: "Amazon is full of talented people, doing amazing research and projects, challenging the status quo of current technology, and I want to be part of it and and help with this advance".

Passion & energy will prompt me to remain in the workplace & Amazon is on my radar. My "why amazon" story precipitates from a personnel level to professional reasoning: The wife introduced me to Amazon several years ago as a means of ordering stuff online. Didn't think much of it but did notice they sold more than a few things & figured them to be 'drop-shippers". Not long after, while surfing LinkedIn I noticed an Amazon post w/r/t celebrating some occasion - and what caught my eye was how happy & proud everyone appeared. ... I also learned just how much of an impact they're making, in addition to Fulfillment Centers (whom employs safety professionals!) ...directly within my wheel-house to say the least. As time progressed I found my self envious, but thought - wait a minute - I'm just as proud and work for an equally World-Class Organization. Bottom line, my focus (if I get the opportunity to interview) is to impart.... the prospect of working for Amazon excites me and I covet the opportunity to join another World-Class Organization. The approach with 3 reasons should work pretty well, at least as a starting point; if you want o get it to the next level, you could turn it more inspirational from there.
Question regarding employee referral. I had someone I know help me with employee referral, and received emails regarding the positions that I was referred for. When I go check the application status under my profile, these applications appears to be "incomplete" under active applications. According to the referral email I got there is nothing more I need to do except to wait. But should I still complete the final steps of the application and submit them? Or would that create a double submission? thanks!

C’mon, you’re basically saying nothing in these answers. They’re artificial and dishonest. Anyone can say “I am a perfect fit for this job and I like to take ownership”.
You usually dont want to go over two minutes. Could be as short as 30 seconds, so long as you feel confident of making a power statement (this is less than 5% of the time). Good luck!

I haven’t seen any CEO talk about failure as openly as Jeff does and I believe it reflects a culture of freedom of thought to go above and beyond and makes me want to be a part of it. #2 is my passion for technology and Amazon and AWS specifically are heavily technology oriented and with the way the future is looking toward AI & ML, I feel this is the right place to be to grow my career and feed my curiosity to learn about them. #3 is I’m a detailed oriented person and being a data driven company that Amazon is, I believe I can dive deep and resolve problems that help with improving customer satisfaction.
One of the most important reason is that I’m really impressed that Amazon really take care of everyone by providing professional platform for learning and growing to become better leaders. I have always admired of the training program that Amazon has offered to cultivate leadership principles among everybody. Everybody talks like this is some profound question. It's really quite a common question that any large company will ask. They want to see what you know about the company and why you want to work there and why you think that you are a better fit there than one of its competitors. That's really it! So I really don't understand why so many videos about this question exist on several RUclips channels, like the answer is akin to achieving world peace.

One thing video producers must realize is its very difficult to be patient to go through a video. Hence, it should be really short and to the point.

#1 is the culture of building innovation and embracing failure as a means to improve customer experience. I haven’t seen any CEO talk about failure as openly as Jeff does and I believe it reflects a culture of freedom of thought to go above and beyond and makes me want to be a part of it.
#2 is my passion for technology and Amazon and AWS specifically are heavily technology oriented and with the way the future is looking toward AI & ML, I feel this is the right place to be to grow my career and feed my curiosity to learn about them.
#3 is I’m a detailed oriented person and being a data driven company that Amazon is, I believe I can dive deep and resolve problems that help with improving customer satisfaction.
You need to get more specific on why you can make a difference and probably also what’s in for you.
Even if it were true about wanting to switch because of your coworkers, I would never bring it up directly in that way
Really good content but I feel like the 1st reason and the 3rd reason are almost the same and could be questioned by the interviewer.
One of the most important reason is that I’m really impressed that Amazon really take care of everyone by providing professional platform for learning and growing to become better leaders. I have always admired of the training program that Amazon has offered to cultivate leadership principles among everybody.
Additional to that, Amazon provides me greatest opportunity to really dive deep into working at the most advanced and dynamic working environment. I would have the change to explore and to get involved in the data center operation and maintenance of the physical infrastructure in AWS.
Thirdly, working as DCEO trainee not only allow me to be a self-starter, but also I would have the greatest experience of working together with the people with the greatest minds in Amazon. Amazon is one of the most data-driven company in the world and working with Amazonians surely build my values and perspective to another level.
Last but not least, I am confidently believing that I have great deal experiences and values to share to make me possible to fit into your organization. Thank you.

Everybody talks like this is some profound question. It's really quite a common question that any large company will ask. They want to see what you know about the company and why you want to work there and why you think that you are a better fit there than one of its competitors. That's really it! So I really don't understand why so many videos about this question exist on several RUclips channels, like the answer is akin to achieving world peace.

I would love to work for Amazon for a few reasons.
First, I tend to thrive in a fast-paced and stimulating environment like Amazon.
Second, I get a lot of satisfaction out of discovering and using the latest technologies, and Amazon seems to both encourage and provide support for this habit.
Finally, I am excited to work in an environment where ownership is taken seriously and everyone has a personal stake in the work.

It’s a terrible answer. The first 2-3 sentences are useless. Your use of the principles is too obvious and there is no STAR format.

I think it was because you made your comments after showing the sample answers.
Try to introduce what is coming next, for example: "on the next sample answer you are going to watch an answer for the job role X. Please, pay attention to this and that, notice”.
