good stuff Dan! I'm a operational safety guy w a major company who will soon separate due to out-of-state relocation. Passion & energy will prompt me to remain in the workplace & Amazon is on my radar. My "why amazon" story precipitates from a personnel level to professional reasoning: The wife introduced me to Amazon several years ago as a means of ordering stuff online. Didn't think much of it but did notice they sold more than a few things & figured them to be 'drop-shippers". Not long after, while surfing LinkedIn I noticed an Amazon post w/r/t celebrating some occasion - and what caught my eye was how happy & proud everyone appeared. ... I also learned just how much of an impact they're making, in addition to Fulfillment Centers (whom employs safety professionals!) ...directly within my wheel-house to say the least. As time progressed I found my self envious, but thought - wait a minute - I'm just as proud and work for an equally World-Class Organization. Bottom line, my focus (if I get the opportunity to interview) is to impart.... the prospect of working for Amazon excites me and I covet the opportunity to join another World-Class Organization. Thank you very much Dan! After watching all your videos, for a few iterations, I passed the interviews and the loop, and eventually got an offer from Amazon. Hello guys!I have an upcoming interview with Amazon for a bilingual(French and English) Key Account Manager posiiton.Does anyone know whether the questions will be both in english and french?Thank you
Hi Dan, I have an upcoming interview and was wondering if my answer for this question sounds good: I would love to work for Amazon for a few reasons. First, I tend to thrive in a fast-paced and stimulating environment like Amazon. Second, I get a lot of satisfaction out of discovering and using the latest technologies, and Amazon seems to both encourage and provide support for this habit. Finally, I am excited to work in an environment where ownership is taken seriously and everyone has a personal stake in the work. Thanks so much for the videos!
Hello Dan, Thank you for the video. Below are my 3 reasons, what are your thoughts about it? #1 is the culture of building innovation and embracing failure as a means to improve customer experience. I haven’t seen any CEO talk about failure as openly as Jeff does and I believe it reflects a culture of freedom of thought to go above and beyond and makes me want to be a part of it. #2 is my passion for technology and Amazon and AWS specifically are heavily technology oriented and with the way the future is looking toward AI & ML, I feel this is the right place to be to grow my career and feed my curiosity to learn about them. #3 is I’m a detailed oriented person and being a data driven company that Amazon is, I believe I can dive deep and resolve problems that help with improving customer satisfaction.
Everybody talks like this is some profound question. It's really quite a common question that any large company will ask. They want to see what you know about the company and why you want to work there and why you think that you are a better fit there than one of its competitors. That's really it! So I really don't understand why so many videos about this question exist on several RUclips channels, like the answer is akin to achieving world peace.
What do you think of this answer?? I would really like to work for Amazon for three reasons: *Firstly, I believe that working for a company whose main goal is to become the world’s most customer driven business would give me invaluable experience and boost my CV *Secondly, over the last four years I have worked in a fast paced environment and dealing with probably the toughest customers - parents. This has taught me how to work under pressure and prioritize tasks, as well as further develop my communication and management skills. I am confident that with my experience I would make a long lasting difference in your team. *Lastly, I am an action driven person. I thrive in problem-solving and I feel comfortable with challenges.
Hello, I am answering this with respect to the cloud support positions, Please let me know your feedback. Why Amazon / Why AWS premium support.? "In the line of my work over the last 2 years, My responsibilities had an equal share of performing technical duties and explaining my technical work to my non-technical clients. I have always taken a lead to present our team's technical work in as comfortable way as possible. I realized that in addition to performing technical work, I loved and enjoyed interacting with my non-technical clients to help them understand the technical work in the form of Sprint / Project Demos, Knowledge transfers or Providing technical support. I soon discovered that my strength lies in my good communication skills and my affinity to take ownership in addressing any issue with my clients. I confidant that, with my customer facing skills I would like to help many more aws customers as well as progress my career in that direction." Thank you.
The approach with 3 reasons should work pretty well, at least as a starting point; if you want o get it to the next level, you could turn it more inspirational from there.

For today’s pioneers like me that’s exactly why there is no place on Earth they’d rather build than Amazon. Amazon is also handling millions of orders everyday and has a mission to deliver to everyone on the planet. So with a mindset of manufacturing and having a strong belief in customer obsession, long term thinking, innovation and operational excellence I believe that I can make a remarkable contribution to Amazon supply chain management. I have managed considerable amount of projects aiming lean and continuous flow, optimization of bottlenecks, systematic defect reduction and collaborated with internal and external stakeholders whole through my carrier. So I’d love to use this knowledge and experience for the sake of Amazon where also I can learn a lot and expand my horizon."
It’s a terrible answer. The first 2-3 sentences are useless. Your use of the principles is too obvious and there is no STAR format.
@@DanCroitor thank you so much for the feedback. I will revise it according to the tips and tricks in the video. Thank you also for posting these videos. Best regards:)
did you get the offer?
Even if it were true about wanting to switch because of your coworkers, I would never bring it up directly in that way
What is to use metrics didn’t got it
C’mon, you’re basically saying nothing in these answers. They’re artificial and dishonest. Anyone can say “I am a perfect fit for this job and I like to take ownership”.
Super video! I applauded for $10.00 👏👏👏
Thank you! 😃
