      If Duran had the harder punch how is it that Jones knocked him down and stopped?

    • @websalsero
      @websalsero 4 года назад +2

      He is not the only opponent who said that. They say Duran had “hands of stone” for a reason.

    • @jrsanti
      @jrsanti 4 года назад +1

      websalsero who knows if he wraps his hands with concrete. They don’t send a rep of the other side during hand wrapping in his time. Sugar ray said, it feel like he got hit with a brick when Duran hits him. With a boxing glove, that should raise suspicion. Besides, it takes more force to knock someone out. If you feel the punch, it means you’re still conscious enough to feel it. Even if you get hit with a sledge hammer on your head and get knocked out. If you survive, I don’t think you will remember how hard you got hit.

      How can a natural lightweight hit harder than a natural middleweight or super middleweight

    • @matsugo24
      @matsugo24 4 года назад +2

      Jose Barrera Not all punches feel the same. Some punches are a lightning fast pop (which really hurt like hell). Some are a heavy deep thud that moves your feet from place. I used to box; and I’ve sparred with various weight classes. No doubt, you can feel the heavier frames from the bigger guys. And they can hurt you. But the hardest I was ever hit was from someone who fought as a lightweight. He hit me so hard that I felt it down my spine to the point I thought my disc would slip out of place in my neck. Scared the he’ll out of me, where I knew I had to get rid of him. The ironic thing is that I knocked him out about a minute later. Nobody had a clue he hurt me that bad. He could’ve knocked me out cold; and I was glad he was out of there.

      Yeah I get you bro I box currently I’ve been hit by super feather weights up too 154 pounders (im a small dude) and I definitely felt the difference in punching power but comparing punch by weight obviously they are some small guys that get close to bigger guys In My experience and yes punches do feel different with different persons some sting some are just heavyyy it’s like you’re caring punches with you
