The key to using camouflage netting is to make sure there are no straight lines or edges on the net, we used to use sticks to give the netting more randomness to its shape so it blends in better with the foliage, even with netting draped over the tent the straight line from the ridge at the top of the tent can be picked out from the environment around it. shape, shine and silhouette are the main principles to stealth
cheers for the tips mate, yeah i can see what you mean now by that. somehow we still werent spotted but knowing how to use the netting properly will help more. you need a LOT of it to cover anything!
Thanks Tom...this cheered me up after a miserable night at work :-) That camo netting did look fairly effective, as you say it's going to work best when it matches the surroundings, so it was a good choice for woodland. Keep up the good work!
Hello. I live in Ohio. I just found your video. I watch alot of survival videos and yours popped up on things i might like. I subscribed. Its just getting started. Lol. Youre just coming out of the church. Love the history. Ive never been out of the states. Thanks for sharing
Cheers again for inviting me Tom. I still can't work out where the time went on Saturday evening! I really enjoyed this and had some great laughs along the way. I watched this with Danni and little one earlier and Danni loved the skipping! Keep safe matey - ATB
remember building club houses when I was a kid, out of card board, branches, boards, you name it. it was so much fun and this type of camp, always reminds me of this. Gang of kids set out to make camp, meals and had so much fun. Keep on going Tom, really fun to watch what you guys come up with. cheers. If you were local, I'd walk over and bring you a cold one.
Another great video Tom, looks like you had a right laugh making it. The camo netting looks like a great idea for woodland camps and reminds me of building dens in the woods in my younger years! I have only started wild camping recently, and haven't camped in the woods yet, but will definitely consider getting some camo netting to try out. 👍
Hi Tom. Netting it looked like a great idea. U always wonder when wild camping if someone can see u and if that helps keep you camouflaged great. kudos.
Good stealth camp Tom enjoyed as always.dont over stretch the cam netting need it more compact the less stretch the better, take care Tom nd your friend.atvb mate,
hahahaha! that was Hambo's idea and we were in stitches afterwards lol. i personally enjoyed our Jesus Chirst Poses that we did at various stages of the walk lol. cheers.
@@thostaylor i get that but times change. that's like saying racism is still acceptable because 50 years ago it wasn't frowned upon as much. besides i think what is more offensive if you see it that way was that we mocked a Christian statue by impersonating it lol.

@@TOM_OUTDOORS It's nothing to do with being Christian, Muslim or Jewish, just my age.

I'm sure you're aware, of the curse from the village and you received the blessing of the coven to sleep in the wood Tom ?
no idea what your'e talking about.
"Enough waffling.... Let's get setting up" - sort your rhymes out! :-)
that doesn't rhyme though.
Just messing with you mate lol.
Is there a coven in the village you've got me interested?
