My experience that I think resonates with everyone is even with her confidence and her capabilities she has a vulnerability about her that makes you emotionally invest in every note she sings. Every song has been amazing to me the first time I hear it but each time I hear it repeated I become more attached to it. I hear subtleties that I missed the time before until she and the song become part of you. I get a catch in my breath when I hear her sing a song for the tenth time, twentieth time, every time. That's what makes me feel she is singing directly to me and me alone. She sings with her heart and it touches mine.

Samantha, I believe most Angelina fans understood everything you were saying. It's difficult to explain emotions and how she has that ability to reach deep. What makes Angelina so unique and why she has so many ardent supporters is not just because she can make beautiful sounds but how she can interpret and phrase a song to make you "feel" it and the intention of what the song writer probably wanted to achieve. As for future reactions I personally enjoy mixing it up from age to age and there is so much to choose from. My favorite on stage performance is "FEELING GOOD, Live on the Stream Gir Tilbake" at 10 years old. My favorite song, an original she was asked to demo for but never released is "I'M STILL HOLDING OUT FOR YOU", also at 10 years old. You will discover that she covers nearly all genres brilliantly. What you say is true, and give credit also to her vocal skill. She knows exactly how to use her voice to evoke a feeling of intimacy with the listener, by the deft use of hushed tones and breathiness, and other techniques no doubt. No, you are not alone in trying to describe the way that Angelina pulls you in. It is called stage presence and she has it in spades! Howie, one of the judges, said exactly that - he was totally unaware of anything else going on while she sang, and that she was hypnotic. Those are some of the things we can say for sure. Unsaid are the things about Angelina that defy our ability to describe in any known language.

Here’s another tidbit of fascinating information about this performance that I found amazing. The shirt that Angelina is wearing for this performance has a painting of Angelina on it when she was eight. This painting was done by Angelina’s Grandmother and was silkscreened on the shirt.
Angelina’s Grandmother, besides being her #1 fan and artistic muse, is a child prodigy herself, being a published poet and artist in Iran when she was only six years old.
Angelina has mentioned in the past that she loves painting with her Grandma. Her Grandma, Mery Zamani is the one who exposed Angelina to jazz and nurtured that passion since she was around three years old. ❤️

Although, specific details are sometimes hard to come by, Angelina's story has been inspiring from the word go. Everything from singing in the cradle, to why she sings barefoot, to her rather astonishing ethnic background, to announcing quite calmly that she wanted to be a superstar at 7, sounds like it was written for a Disney movie. Now, here she is , bravely wearing a shirt with her own face on it delivering this masterful performance in front of the most important audience of her young life. She is a miraculous person.

Damn Samantha, you thought she was singing only to you & all this time I thought she was singing only to me, LOL. I think she does that to all her "Angels." These AGT-C performances were taped in Oct 2019 (aired early 2020), so they are almost 2 years old. Her reinterpretation of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean into her Jazzy/Pop style is my current #1 Angelina song, so I strongly recommend you react to that to see her today at 15. Nice reaction!

Angelina's music is health food for the heart, soul and spirit. Samantha thank you very much for providing links to the original song and her RUclips channel. I have no idea how many viewers who don't know the importance of giving a video a like, leaving a comment and subscribing to a channel. A little education could go a long way for both you and the artist you are reacting to by encouraging viewers to do these simple things which are free.

Jordan was born in Oslo, Norway, and has lived for extended periods both there and in Los Angeles. She also lived for a time in the Middle East. She has a younger sister who has been featured in two of her music videos. Her father, Gerry Christian Slattman, is Swedish. Her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar, is the daughter of Iranian artist and poet Mery Zamani and a Japanese father.

You asked for recommendations on what to see next. My recommendation is go back to the beginning for a bit. She her development as a child prodigy.
Watch her 4 performances on Norways Got Talent at ages 7 and 8. The first one being Gloomy Sunday, cover by Billie Holiday. There is a version with English subtitles.
Samantha it really doesn’t matter which song you show her singing next. I’ve seen hundreds of her performances and amazingly they are all excellent I would be hard-pressed to tell you which to share next because there are so many of her songs she sings that I also think are wonderful it’s hard for me to choose, but, some of her earlier songs like when she was 10 or 11 that I really like from that time frame is “Born to Die” by Lana Del Rey or “Stay” by Rihanna, “ I’m Still Holding Out For You” by Baby Fuzz, also “The Show Must Go On” by Queen when she was 12 and many many others they are all good just pick one. Just pick something you think you would like to hear, You can’t make a mistake because she is that good.

Samantha, with languages she has a few advantages most people don´t have. Papas family is Swedish, Mom is Norwegian but moms parents (AJs grandparents) are from Iran (grandma) and Japan (grandpa). Well her 4 NGT Norways got talent performances (when she was 7/8 years old, there filmed in advance) so they air later then performed are not to be missed. They're only around 2 minutes each and can be found grouped together with and without subtitles for the judges comments are really where anyone should start or go after they have seen a few random performances. For good measure there is also a school music studio performance when she was six (i who have nothing). After that she has around 140 performances (mostly covers with around 5 originals [even the originals have covers she has a habit of releasing 3 or 4 versions of say Million miles and 7th heaven [originals under contract with republic records.). I am fondest of the "Video" versions of each.

Listening to Angelina produces a lot of peace, but when she puts her foot on the accelerator it is impossible not to feel like one of the listeners is out of breath. I have a hard time remembering a singer who has attracted me as much as this young girl. Samantha and they like your reactions.

There are SO many that you need to react to, and you can't go wrong no matter which direction you choose. Her demo of the Baby Fuzz song, "I'm Still Holding Out For You" at 10 years old is a must. Her jazzy version of "Billie Jean" is wonderful, as is her cover of The Beatles "Yesterday" that was just released a couple days ago. Her latest original "7th Heaven" the Official Music Video is also a favorite as is her cover of what used to be an Adele song, "All I Ask", that in my opinion, Angelina now owns. Others will have different preferences, and all are worthy of your time. This is a journey to be explored, and savored. Take in all her songs and covers, because each will amaze you in it's own way. Watch Angelina in any order you choose...you can’t go wrong. Billy Jean is outstanding as a “jazzy pop” arraignment at 15, but Summertime at age 8 is unbelievable. Then I Put A Spell On You at 9 and Feeling Good at 10 are two completely different styles both done to perfection. Or watch her last performance on AGT doing Someone You Loved.
