I would cite 'intangibles' in the way this casino has changed since new management took over a few years ago. It was _the_ place to be in the Summer of 2003 and for over a decade afterward. Then, for me at least, even though it looked to be The Borgata I'd come to know it was different. I do appreciate that some (a handful) of the original slot machines in their _original_ locations (quite a feat in and of itself) remain to remind me of that time my fiancée and I first entered The Borgata in early-August 2003. We spoke of that experience for a long time.
My favorite hotel in Atlantic City is Harrah's. I can't wait to go back soon.

Man I have not been to Atlantic City since I was a kid. I'm gonna add it to my bucket list once this COVID stuff clears up. Glad to hear that the Borgata is compatible to the Wynn. Gives me an idea of what to expect should I book a room there. I love to people watch so it sounds like I'd enjoy myself at the boardwalk. hehe Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

The borgota is a nice casino I went to AC with a friend a couple of years ago we stayed at Bally’s on the boardwalk!

The Bor was developed by Steve Wynn...and the Boardwalk reminds me of Freemont St on a Saturday night, never know what you will see....

The hotel room does look nice. I was there at AC like 3 weeks ago. The tiki bars were really crowded though. So best to go during the week. I miss Vegas though. Lol

I was at Borgata ages ago and thought it had a more "Vegas" feel than other casinos in AC. I don't know how it is now, but I remember Borgata had way less slots and more tables then the boardwalk casinos. More in line with what I remembered seeing in Vegas. Being NY still has a travel restriction on Nevada, I may just do a couple nights at Borgata if I have to cancel my November Vegas trip.

It’s probably best to book as soon as possible. I actually booked the Borgata directly from their website, but I’m not sure if that is the best move lol but that’s what I did

Stayed this past weekend. Pretty busy. They didn't give us the gift bag that you got. In fact we even had to ask for cups.
Caesars was a little busy too. $15 for parking.

Every hotel also has valet so they will park your car and help with luggage too 🤗
Pompsie I called they said self park only this will be hard for me I have a walker and a service dog in a stroller I guess they have to help with bags pray for me Lmfaoooooo

@@Pompsie My fiancée and I were staying in Wildwood in August of 2003 when we went to The Borgata by chance our first night in Wildwood. We had an amazing time that made a big impression on us that very first night. We extended our mini-vacation by two days and we left on the Thursday of the big East Coast Power Failure on August 14, 2003.

That’s a good question. I may try and make a video about this in the future! But to put it simply Atlantic City feels like a jersey shore town with some casinos 🎰 whereas Vegas is a totally different beast.

Please let us know what you decide. I'd recommend The Borgata but it's been six years since my sweetheart and I stayed there and in the interim there has been a change of management at that location. I hope that you'll have an enjoyable time.

Going to Vegas first time this year. As someone that frequents borgata, would you recommend aria, bellagio or vdara?

Was that the Standard Queen, Standard King, Classic Queen, or Classic King? I would like the wide window view and sofa, but it is hard to know which room fits the criteria since there are no matching pictures.

In the future, when you leave the Borgata parking garage ask them for a receipt and give /show that to the other casinos, that way you will park for free and you will save the $10.

Sure thing. Reason is that the city owns the parking and not the casinos. So you pay one time for the day, you are good anywhere else.

@@jzallday102 yes, it is true, so save your reciepts. Also, if you bet a lot, get a players card, as you might get reduced or free parking.
Best on the East Coast? I'm not so sure. Mohegan and Foxwoods both give it a good run for the money. Mohegan probably being the best.

You can't go wrong with either. Maybe more things to do at MS, but Borgata is the classier venue. MS is laid back but very nice.

I feel ya! Another person actually commented the same thing and suggested I use something like rougher areas instead. I’m good with that. I didn’t realize ghetto was an offensive word to be honest with you.

It’s is a ghetto and one of the most dangerous cities in the USA year after year. Who cares if people are offended, it’s true!
Ghetto is the correct term for Atlantic Ave two blocks parallel with the Boardwalk. It's equal parts the people and the city/states disinvestment in the area.

Best casino on the east coast is hands down the hard rock in Tampa. It's actually one of the largest casinos in America. Having lived in NYC and been to AC, would 100% rank hard rock tampa over any of them.

Pompsie is this the best hotel to stay at in Atlantic City?
It's the top resort by a mile in AC. You can stay there the whole time and a host of dining and eatery options. Every other casino hotel is of lesser quality and for every good thing there is some bad thing. Also it's too far for the riff raff and homeless to loiter at unlike some of teh Boardwalk properties.

Hang around "The Pool" on a weekend night at Harrah's and you'll see some stuff.

AC away from the casinos is very dangerous. A few years ago there was a 10 percent chance anyone in AC could be a victim of crime. Let that sink in.. facts.. just stay by the casinos and don’t associate with strangers you don’t know. Enjoy your trip.
