Hi Chris and Greta! Greta I tried some Talenti. It was very good! Thanks for the recommendation! Chris one thing I've learned while traveling. It doesn't matter of it's a 2 star or 5 star. People are inconsiderate when it comes to rooms! Love you guys!
I remember I was gambling $25-$100 a hand in Blackjack at Ocean casino for the first time and the pit boss gave me chairmen/black card. I called them few days later if I had a comp'd rooms available and they comp'd me a corner suite! It was an amazing room and will never forget it
Its a great place. They do need to tweak some things in my opinion. If im at a casino i usually loke to eat late after some drinks and playing but couldnt find food. But def an enjoyable place
Ocean was originally built by a Cruise ship company, so they designed the building with a lot of seating areas like you would find on a cruise ship. Casinos normally don't have seating areas, because they want slot machines and table games to be the only places you can find a chair to sit down.
I was at this casino once (Stayed at the Tropicana though and walked down) and overheard the funniest conversation while on the toilet. Dude said to his friend in another stall "Nothing is better then this, bros parting with bros, shirts off, gettin tanned, this is great" then threw up like there was no tomorrow. Could not stop laughing. This casino has a wild history and was closed so many times. The nicest/fanciest casino in Atlantic City isn't on the Boardwalk, it's the Borgata which is on the bay side.
I stayed there when it was the Revel. I'm surprised the rooms are in such poor condition. As the whole the casino is very clean which I is why I can't figure out why the rooms are in such disrepair. The property itself is only 9 years old. It was closed for several years and reopened as the Ocean in 2018 so there really is no excuse that the rooms condition should be like that.
I was in AC recently, went to Resorts, Hard Rock, and Ocean and all were excellent. Good service, great food, hot fun women, sleek design asthetics, amazing shows. AC is going to have a comeback.
They still have 10 floors that are just a shell/unfinished in the middle of the Hotel tower. That place has had a black cloud over it since they broke ground to build it.
The current owners bought the place for less than ten cents on the dollar compared to its $2.4 Billion construction cost. It’s making money and along with Hard Rock is one of the only casinos to increase its “win” compared to pre-Covid numbers in 2019. They cannot find adequate staff because workers are making more $$ collecting unemployment.
This hotel was recently renamed. I was here years ago and the thing I remembered was the check-in lobby was like a half mile away from the elevator. It was massive! When we stayed here our rooms were beautiful clean spacious and had the corner glass room looking directly at the beach and AC hotels. It had a huge golf ball on top. But it was definitely a nice walk from all the other activities especially the steel Pier.
My wife and I are shocked. We stayed there a week in July and our room was immaculate. We were on the 43rd floor. I guess some floors are better than others.
Stayed there many times! Definitely in need of upgrades. Not 5 star anymore. Hope you enjoyed your visit. I'll be there next month, staying at The HardRock. Rooms are nice!
Ocean and Hard Rock are the two resorts that you want to stay at on the board walk IMO. but when I was there two months ago a lot of the places there had staffing shortages and long wait times for the restaurants. hopefully the situation is better now. also I like the golf cart tram that goes around the board walk now too. I paid 10 dollars and rode that for like 2 hours. its very relaxing.
The water was cold! I had some serious shrinkage!🤣 Looked more like maintenance issues than cleanliness ones...scuffed, scraped, chipped, dented. I leave reviews telling hotels to get furniture pens to cover some of the dents and dings. Rubbing compound works great on the paint transfers too. It helps to have pro-active maintenance though, ones who just complete 'work orders' leave stuff like you saw!

Thank you. I have been lucky with rooms at the Ocean, but that was prepandemic. Love Amada. Tapas in a beautiful restaurant with a view of the Ocean. Looking forward to seeing Caesars. Pretty sure we went to Nero’s that night.
That confirms it for me, I went in July and the room was on the same level as the one in the picture. I always reserve a room because of the comp. But, i will stay at the hard rock much nicer.
You are right about the rooms. They have not upgraded the rooms since they bought the hotel from Revel. Half of the rooms i stayed out were good the others need to be fixed. The restaurants and casino are great. Great table games with the lowest minimums. Best view no matter what room you have.
`When my wife and I lived in Brooklyn we'd go down to AC quite a bit. Haven't been there since 2006, so it was cool seeing a bit of what it looks like now. Great video as usual.
It wasn’t filthy. It needed to be cleaned up better. I don’t think pompsie would have stayed there if it was filthy. It just did not what you would expect for a 5 star hotel I get comp rooms there every month so it is free for me generally. Off season from November until march it is like $100 except of course holidays.
I've been to Atlantic City when my brother lived in Morristown. Beautiful views but if I had a choice it would always be Vegas. Love to see your beautifully edited volgs. Stay safe.❤️👍
The reason there is so much "open space" is because they had no idea how to fill the giant empty casino they bought for dirt cheap. The documentary shows how like 60% of the casino was unused construction zones even when they opened.
Hey Pompsie i love your videos so much man! youre getting so creative with the edits and transitions like that pool one lol, keep it up man i could watch these vids all day
from the airport the absolute cheapest way to the strip casinos is to find your way to the zero level bus pickup out front, take the 109 south one stop to the SSTT (Transfer center), find The Deuce, it's the double decker that runs the whole strip. Take to the stop closest to your casino of choice. Cheapest way from the airport.
I have only stayed at Ocean once back in 2018 or 2019, and I thought the room (as well as the entire resort) was fantastic. It's a shame to see the rooms have gone down hill so fast. I am actually staying there this weekend, so fingers are crossed they saw your video and cleaned things up!
All the cleaning people must be at Borgata rooms immaculate still, rest wasn't bad you're right..I used to love the Taj Mahal back in the day now Hard Rock I'm sure you'll swing by..your new intro was cool
Music spot on, vlog and production as with all of your library are A+++. 👌 The Ocean is a pretty hotel but the 2 rooms you saw are wth?? One viewer commented here that when they said you can't pay for late checkout because they need to clean the room you should have said wish you would have cleaned it before my stay. Lol. The fish tank was installed by the company who does the show "Tanked". Probably can find that epi here on the 'tube. Great vlog bro! 👏👌💥❤ Btw: ATM is the company and creators of the show Tanked that is or was based in Vegas and have done some tanks in hotels there and for celebs. I know the show ended but not sure about the business.
I loved the new intro, though I MISS the original music, as it made me "bop" in my chair! lol You were spot on with your observation about the rooms. The lobby was INSANELY beautiful and even awe-inspiring ... but the rooms ... Out of respect for your vlog, I'll just call them "disappointing" and leave it at that. Very strange dichotomy of quality in that place, for sure. I'd read SO much about how over the top that "5-star" hotel was going to be. So underwhelming. The steakhouse looked amazing, and I almost DOVE at those mushrooms on my 32" monitor! HEE! I was tongue-in-cheek about the outside pool sequence, and I'll leave that at that as well! LMAO. The views were spectacular, and the car trunk sequence was really neat too! I can't wait to see the Ceasars review to compare the two. A professional gambler friend of mine who had casinos flying him to Vegas all the time once told me to NEVER gamble in AC when I asked him if he ever went there. I asked him why and he said: "Because you can't win". I looked at him puzzled, then asked what he meant ... He squinted down his nose at me and said: "Because you can't win!". I left it at that. Years later, when I was there while on tour with Elvis Costello, I decided I would prove him wrong, as I usually do rather well at Blackjack, and have played in the US, Canada, Europe, Puerto Rico, The Bahamas, and China, with great results. So, feeling quite confident ... I dropped $300 at a Borgata Blackjack table in like 15-20 minutes or so. If I had 18, she had 19. If I had 19, she had 20. if I had 20, she had 21. If I had twenty-one, so did she for a push! (I got ZERO Blackjacks in an ENTIRE shoe!) I did NOT win ONE hand! The best I could do was a push. I heard his words in my head over-and-over, and got up and walked away as she did her reshuffle. I wouldn't feel too bad about your experience. AWESOME VLOG you guys!
Enjoyed this video. Edited really well, between the transitions and choice of music, you did a great job. The venue looks beautiful but it’s weird to see something so majestic, yet it lacks the bustling activity we typically see in Las Vegas. ✨
Great video, I will say tho. Having stayed there twice in the past year, they have stepped up their game as far as the rooms. All 5 rooms I was in, were in much better shape then the one in the video
Pompsie, great video as always. I need my daily vlog fix. :) So , I watch all these videos about abandoned America and Revel Casino came up a while ago and they were exploring the abandoned parts of what is now Ocean's- the Revel. It interested me so much I watched a full documentary and read a bit. The Revel/Ocean is a HUUUUUGEEEE failure monetarily. I mean serious failure - after everything" Revel declared that the casino's value had dropped from $2.4 billion to $450 million" Someone won it at auction eventually for 84 mil- almost a 2 billion dollar loss. Even the mayor threw money at it to make it work a geez what a waste. This place is jinxed. Several workers were hurt building it, if you remember Ray Rice - the elevator incident- that was at Revel. Oceans better be awesome...oh wait your room is a symbolism.
I saw this doc too!! It was very informative, really enjoyed it. I can't believe they never finished all those high floors, what a waste, but I guess that's what happens when you run out of money multiple times!
Being born and raised back in Jersey, I was surprised and happy to see you and your wife reviewing a resort down in Atlantic City. I was disappointed to hear about the dirty room(s). One is possibly understandable but two rooms...fugetaboutit!
Hey Pompsie and Greta, Always enjoy your videos, especially when you show bikes(motorcycles) I remember that the Hard Rock in Vegas had bikes every where in the casino, miss that casino, it had a sign at the entrance that said “ If the house is a rockin don’t bother knocking” dammit I miss that Casino!! Oh well, moving on, Thanks 🙏🏽 👍🏽💛🇨🇱.
Can’t say that Bc it’s not always the same girl cleaning. I was housekeeper and they give us like 14 rooms to clean. Half hour per room, it’s not our fault. But when I was, check out was at 11am, if the guess still in the room I just used to ask “Are u leaving today?” If the guess says “no, I’ll leave soon I just said Ok take ur time, no problem” not mattering that I’ll be late later. But you should understand too🤷🏽♀️
Hard rock is better sorry you didn’t see Tennessee Beer Garden great atmosphere and food mostly best variety of Beers again welcome to east coast hope to run into you in nov 🌻💜
The rooms do need updating and last i was there there werent any food options after midnight which makes no sense. Still a pretty fun place to go honestly
the rooms used to clean pre pandemic probably worker shortage but no excuse. I can't stay in an unkept room and will tell them to change it until it's right. I'll bring my Lysol wipes thanks for the warning. The place itself is very nice.
I have stayed at Ocean multiple times and I LOVE it there, however I do agree with you that that rooms need some MAJOR cleaning and refreshing. Still one of my favorite hotels on the boardwalk, Hard Rock is a close second but I just love the size of Ocean and the In/Out Pool can't be beat.
Very informative post, Pomps…thanks! The only time I went to AC I stayed at whichever hotel is basically to the right of OCEAN. The views are stellar from any rooms facing the Atlantic…..quite different from Vegas! I had traveled solo from Philly…took the train- always looking for something new, and enjoyed myself there and found the gambling easy on my wallet…but definitely definitely hit an OMG moment after I had been casino hopping all day and finally decided to head back to home base….the pier was dark, empty and Really Creepy….I guess I figured it would be just like Vegas and busy all the time….hard NO on that! (This was in mid-June, maybe 7 years ago). I’m a pretty fearless gal but I gotta tell ya…I flipped up my sweatshirt hood, zipped up and speed walked back to the hotel as fast as I could! Lesson learned!…and Hi, Greta!!
Hi Pompsie! So awesome to see you here in Atlantic City and so glad I got to meet you! Honestly, everyone says Ocean is so great but they haven't redone their rooms since the property was called Revel with the same furniture and fixtures and that was April 2012! Almost 10 years ago, not exactly new and shiny like people make it out to be. That room looked bad for a 5 star, but dinner looked amazing and your captures at the pool were dope! Keep up the amazing and inspiring work!! Can't wait to see Caesars and the other property!! 😄😍
HI Pompsie and Tiffany! I saw you Pompsie on the boardwalk Saturday morning with Greta but I didnt get a chance to come up and say Hi! Tiffany I agree with you about the rooms in Ocean. Funny this trip was the 1st time I stayed at Resorts (I was graciously offered a comped suite by a friend) and although the suite was mostly dated it was clean and mostly well-maintained. The hallways were clean too, but the elevators were definitely a little scary looking from the inside.
You guys are doing the most under appreciated work, without which people would not be well informed or even be inspired to go travel exploring! Thank you Pompsie and Greta! Before this vlog, I thought Atlantic City was dead 🤣.
I ran around the boardwalk casinos like a month ago during an AC trip and the Ocean was pretty BAMF. Looked like the kind fo places where they'd have conventions. View at some of the slot machines was awesome. DI appreciate the posters to an Alice Cooper concert I wasn't going to be able to make. Alice Cooper still puts on an amazing live show.
Can’t wait to see more from your AC trip. my first time was last summer and I stayed at Harrah’s. I want to go back to experience AC without the restrictions. I heard that there are like 10 floors that are unoccupied at Ocean bc of what happened with reopening the hotel.
That's ashame. I like Harrah's and the Borgata is my favorite hotel in AC! Hope you had a nice time both of you.💞Keep doing what you do. I think you are talented!😍
Great history on this hotel. Was sold for pennies on the dollar to a non casino owner that just watched it by his staying on his boat nearby .. overall it was very expensive to maintain .. and probably still loosing a lot of cash flow
New intro... Who dis? No masks.... YES SIR... Freedom. In your videos, is there a lot of color correction or is it just your lens that is bad ass? Great vlog buddy!
Hey Pompsie and Greta!!! Watch you from Philadelphia on the regular and was hoping to run into you guys over the weekend in Vegas. Imo, Ocean is really more like a resort than casino. That's why all the seating and not a lot of gaming. Did you notice the small bathrooms on the casino floor??? Needs some tweeking for sure. Oh well, hope to see you'll when I get back to Vegas with my mom soon. Btw, I stayed @ Palazzo and it was the bomb! My suite was fit for the queen I am. Njoy your visit and thanks for all you do!!!
Have a good day 😊
You too!

Should stay at the Hard Rock next door. Stayed there twice when I lived in Jersey and it’s one of my favorite hotels to stay in.
Love the new intro
"You can't have late checkout, because we need to clean the room." "Would have been nice if you'd cleaned it before I'd arrived."
Right!!? Lol good one!
But you should understand too🤷🏽♀️
Thanks for the vid !
Hard rock is better sorry you didn’t see Tennessee Beer Garden great atmosphere and food mostly best variety of Beers again welcome to east coast hope to run into you in nov 🌻💜
You deserve more subscribers your vlogs are cool and informative
Share to everyone you know :)
Thanks for the video. I was planning on a visit to Oceans next month. Glad I did not waste my money on a room there. No excuse for a dirty room. Yuck!
The rooms do need updating and last i was there there werent any food options after midnight which makes no sense. Still a pretty fun place to go honestly
Awesome Video Pompise and Greta
the rooms used to clean pre pandemic probably worker shortage but no excuse. I can't stay in an unkept room and will tell them to change it until it's right. I'll bring my Lysol wipes thanks for the warning. The place itself is very nice.
What a coincidence, I thought of you today pompsie, no video and boom, this shows up on my notification, great work as always.
Best Atlantic City RUclips in the game
love your vlogs tiffany! keep it up and you will be at pompsies level in no time!!!
@@GSNCards Aww snap, thanks!! 😃
@@J1gs0r3 Thanks so much!! 😅 Yeah, goals for sure, he's a huge inspiration!
Never been to AC! I would love to one day!! Thanks for always the amazing videos you do! Hi Greta 🤗💜
Love the VGK jersey!! Represent!!
You guys are doing the most under appreciated work, without which people would not be well informed or even be inspired to go travel exploring! Thank you Pompsie and Greta! Before this vlog, I thought Atlantic City was dead 🤣.
Awesome video !
Room condition is very scary,I would have made them move me again! I always stay at Borgata, the rooms are very clean!
Me too
I stayed at Borgata and the room was pretty worn out.
someone I know discovered bed bugs at Borgata
Wut up pompsie,if your ever in Nashville go to the mockingbird restraunt,my brother owns its and it’s amazing food .don’t worry the tab will be on me
I ran around the boardwalk casinos like a month ago during an AC trip and the Ocean was pretty BAMF. Looked like the kind fo places where they'd have conventions. View at some of the slot machines was awesome. DI appreciate the posters to an Alice Cooper concert I wasn't going to be able to make. Alice Cooper still puts on an amazing live show.
The Hard Rock is my favorite property to stay when in AC, can't wait for you to review it.
Can’t wait to see more from your AC trip. my first time was last summer and I stayed at Harrah’s. I want to go back to experience AC without the restrictions. I heard that there are like 10 floors that are unoccupied at Ocean bc of what happened with reopening the hotel.
Stayed there last year 22, and will be going back mid July 23. We loved it 😊
how are the rooms im going in september staying there for the first time
Great video, just one question, how the night life, music, bands, dancing etc Thx
I hope you stopped at the White House on Arctic Ave and got the special
White house is the best!
That's ashame. I like Harrah's and the Borgata is my favorite hotel in AC! Hope you had a nice time both of you.💞Keep doing what you do. I think you are talented!😍
I recommend Borgata, Hard Rock, Oceans, Tropicana, Caesars, Harrahs, ..Showboat is last of the last.
Great history on this hotel. Was sold for pennies on the dollar to a non casino owner that just watched it by his staying on his boat nearby .. overall it was very expensive to maintain .. and probably still loosing a lot of cash flow
You two are a great looking couple and so cute together
Great video, also good surf 😎
Love the bowling alley! It also has a theatre that has recliners and serves alcohol drinks...we love it!
Am I missing something? Where in Ocean's is a bowling alley?
Dig the new intro!
Atlantic City, NJ is definitely a try once on my list.
The quality of the hotel shows in how they take care of the rooms. I would not be back to that location due to the cleaning standards
The Claridge was my favorite-Lou loved Borgata, but I wanted the Boardwalk.
I remember when the Revel was built-- they were hoping making it a family type resort might bring in the guests...failed miserably...RIP
@@patrick8128 yes, they even had Beyonce & Jay-Z cristin it at the grand opening. Jay-Z 4040 Club that opened around the same time failed also. RIP
