“He’s refusin’ the blindfold!”
You can just hear Pooh saying cheerfully “Oh, no thank you,” at that point.
I dunno, I always imagined it was more of a "spit on the floor and say "See you in hell you fascist bastards"" kind of deal
Good on Winnie sticking it to the man
I don't hear anything.
Why am I reading that in Pooh's voice?
@@rubywest5166 b buibu😮bbob
“He’s refusing the blindfold” gets me every time. The way they can describe the entire scene through writing and have it be funnier than if they actually spent their limited budget on the real thing is one of the many reasons Red Dwarf is the best.
We don't miss seeing it because Lister can see it, and we see his reaction.
It's much more effective when you use your own imagination.
Executioner:Any last words? Winnie the pooh: *Oh Bother*
"I wish I'd had more honey."
Guard: silly old bear. FIRE!
Lister: “That’s something no one should ever have to see.”
@@MoskHotel "At least we viewers didn't see it.
"What are you waiting for? BRING IT."
He's refusing the blindfold see boys and girls Winnie the Pooh was hard as nails
Pooh Bear was always braver, tougher, and smarter, than someone like Xi Jinping.
Does that mean Pooh Bear held dual pistols at some point before he got killed?
Which is more than can be said for piglet and eeyore.
He was as hard as nails with balls of steel.
He refused it because he's afraid of the dark.
"He's refusing the blindfold"
kill's me every time :)
It killed Pooh, too.
same years later i cry when he says it
I don't know what's funniest about this... the fact that Winnie the Pooh bravely refuses a blindfold or that he's marched out and shot!
Or the fact someone made a Winnie the Pooh wax droid on a planet where all the other wax droids are based on real historical figures and poorly imagined dinosaurs that someone thought must have looked like giant bird monsters with bad special effects.
@@mushroomhead3619 There's a Fiction World in the park as well. That's why Santa Claus shows up to pledge allegiance to the good guys.
Ha, never realised Winnie the Poo was a total badass :D
Refusing the blindfold, classic :)
"Smeg, it's like all the worst people in history have been brought together in one place. My God, there's James Last." Possible my favourite line in whole show and Craig Charles is so brilliant in this scene maybe his best moment on the show.
I'm trying to work out, if this scene were redone in modern day, who would be Last's replacement.
Top candidates at the moment is Justin Bieber.
+DrewSavo Productions any of the kardashians or paris hilton? :D
Donald Trump, Axl Rose and Flo Rida also come to mind.
elijahthesamurai No, they are the ones being killed by Trump and Pence.
Trump, Drake, and the Kardashians if this was up-to-date;
'What are those guys doin out there?'
'They're building something'
'What?'
'Oh, nothing, nothing. Just a sculpture, you know, modern art job like you getting in shopping malls.'
'What's it made of?'
'Wood. Its a sort of inverted 'L' shape in wood'
'Does it have a kinda rope motif?'
'There is a sort of 'noosey' theme to it yeah.'
"if it's gallows, say 'it's gallows', i can take it"
"OK, it's gallows"
"Aaah, they're buliding a gallows!"
Classic Red Dwarf! :D
2:30 "He's refusing the blindfold!" "They're tying Winnie the Pooh to a stake?" Pop of gunfire. Lol. this scene is priceless.
Makes you wonder what heroics he performed for the resistance!
No doubt he was a savage bastard
He probably killed a battalion with a pawful of pooh sticks.
Gorilla commander whinge the Pooh
,
He covered himself in honey and his enemies with Napalm
I love how Cat goes "...WHAT?" after he's told Winnie the Pooh is being brought out. Always cracks me up xD
Me too. The way he says it is amazing.
He plays the straight man really well there
when he says they're tying winnie the pooh the the stake then the shots listers face afterwards makes me cry with laughter everytime
I'm picturing Winnie standing on the gallows with the noose around his neck...
"Oh bother!" D: *snap*
Well it was actually a firing squad...Which just begs the question, why were they building a gallows?
@Luke Garner
Skin on the tiles, blood in the grout
Christopher Robin's castrated the Kraut.
My god there’s a modern joke here somewhere
@@Jotari For Lister and the Cat. They weren't regarded as honourable enough for a firing squad.
@@Jotari For some other poor prisoner.
''That's something no one should ever have to see''
I say that to my brother on some anime I heard of and I don't think any decent human should watch.
@Smokey I understood that reference.
South Park: “Hold my Beer...”
My favorite line in the whole show
@@twilightjester5672Sailor Moon Crystal...
"You expect me to wear grey out of season! I rather hang!!!" another straight classic! that why I love cat!
It's also funny how you can hear Danny John-Jules' natural accent when he says "hang" specifically
Love when it says. "does it have a kinda rope motif?".. It does sort of have a noosey theme to it yeah 😂 😂 love that bit
“He refusing the blindfold”
And that’s why Winnie Pooh was the most badass and hardcore silly old bear ladies and gentlemen.
"Hey, if you mean torture, then say the word torture, i can take it."
"okay, they will torture us."
"uwaah, torture us!"
Even when I was 9 years old, I "got" this scene! I'm pushing 30 now and it's still hilarious!
2:19 ...It's Winnie the Pooh. Makes me laugh every time!
A part of me actually thinks that Craig made that up on spot when filming, having only a vague script or having a script but not following it exactly and making the names up. This is great scene :D
Easily my favourite Red Dwarf moment. Without a doubt.
Meltdown is one of my favourite episodes.
No. Mr Flibble!
I beg to differ. Kryten trying to remove Lister's underpants.
What about Mr. Flibble?
@Smokey You can't possibly do that!
“He’s refusing the blindfold.” Winnie has done some shit in this war
Oh my God! It’s Winnie the Pooh!?! he’s refusing the blindfold.
Absolutely brilliant comedy genius!!!😀😃😄😁😆😅😂🤣😝😜
This is just to great. The reactions of the two actors the dialog. Just to funny
You can tell that the cameraman laughs at 2:02 from the James Last line
The clip misses the part with Caligula and Rasputin!
"Very well....Rasputin! Bring forth the bucket of soapy frogs and remove his trousers!"
That scene comes much later.
“Rasputin, bring hither the skin diving suit with the bottom cut out, and unleash the rampant wildebeest!”
Pooh's last words: "Oh bother."
This was one of the greatest episodes ever made.
I love whenever I randomly think of this scene and come back here just to watch it again.
That silly old bear refused the blind fold... what a badass.
Funny thing is, Winnie the Pooh is a British character (the books were written by a British author before Disney got the rights), and they pretty much killed off their own character off-screen. XD I love this show.
I think that’s why Lister’s so shocked about it!
It was a mercy killing, imagine falling into the hands of the mouse alive.
Everyone's talking about 'he's refusing the blindfold' (and rightly so, it's brilliant) - but can we talk about Craig Charles' reaction at 2:38 ? Absolutely PERFECT payoff, his expression and quiet turn away is comedy gold
"That's something no one should ever see". Hell, now I want to see it.
Winnie the Pooh just went out a hero.
That and a rare expression of sympathy from Cat.
I dont think they could have chosen a funnier name than Winnie the Pooh, the combination of Listers accent and the image it creates is just brilliant.
the latest episode of South Park made me think of this scene.
Red Dwarf predicted the future.
You generally just answered my long awaited questions. My brain was buzzing when I watched that South Park Episode 😁👍
Well then you should tell them about this episode of Red Drawf.
The Cat is great, too funny.
THEY'LL TORTURE US!!!
1:18 LOL
A girl I used to work with once told me her husband was old friends with Danny and he'd frequently come round for BBQ's and stuff, she knew he was an actor but never saw any of his stuff. Naturally I showed her Red Dwarf and especially the Tongue Tied dance dream. She was so confused, apparently he was really normal at her BBQ's!!!!
We can't even see what's happening outside the window but it's still hilarious.
2:40 christ look at his face the poor guys messed up for life now
this scene is the first one i truly saw from red dwarf and still funny as hell
This episode is the funniest thing I've ever scene in my entire life!!!!!!!!
(Winnie is a BOSS. No blindfold lol😂😂😂😂)
this-how I felt about the release of ''blood and honey''. ''that's something nobody should ever have to see.''
2:02 oh my god there's that smeging toaster
Yeah, just like no one should ever see Winnie the Pooh slash anyone's throat open, yet here we are in 2023....
I'm guessing Lister just described what Disney did when that last Pooh movie underperformed. :P
It certainly subverted the fans' expectations.
I laughed for good 5 minutes the first time i saw this XD
Plot twist, they watched Xi Jinping get executed.
Why anybody would think the episode where Winnie The Pooh gets executed is the worst episode of Red Dwarf ever I'll never know!
I'm still pissed we didn't get to see it happen!😤
Are we sure it's Winnie the Pooh? It might have been Xi Jinping!
😂😂
My favourite ever scene in Red Dwarf.
2:38: Me after Dr. Graham's death in Godzilla 2.
That's what I said after watching Godzilla 2 King of the Monsters in its entirety.
Oh my god, there’s James Last!
I recognized him from Rimmers record collection
Oh, my God, there's Taylor Swift! I recognize her from Rimmer's record collection!
Oh, my god! There's James Blunt!
Oh my god it’s Bill Cosby
Ohhh! I always thought Cat said "robo teeth" when I was young, it was really "rope motif"!
Winnie the Pooh refused the blindfold.
Has to be one of my favourite scenes, definitely my favourite episode
PLUS this one gives us the elivis singing the red dwarf theme song ending
One of the best shows of the 80’s
and Disney's Cash-cow! WAH-WAAAH
Surprisingly, this did not ruin my childhood. When I looked other stuff up online, it did
Tony Goodman, Welcome to the internet.
do not look up ''blood and honey'' it's awful.
My dad know the man who played abaham lichon
So brilliant from Craig
That's something no-one should ever have to see.
1:19 Lister almost loses it lol
I've only just noticed that after all these years 🤷🏽♀️😂😂
This needs to be marked as Kingdom Hearts Spoilers
My guess is that the Xi Jingping robot was the one that ordered Winnie the Pooh's capture and execution
Oh my god, there's James Last XD
YOU GUYS ARE ALL SMEGHEADS❤
THATS IT!!!!! 13-20 more ov these videos and im downloading the entire series and getting my RastaBilly Skank on in a one shot!
It's a WaxWar. A Wax museum made intelligent replicas of different people. The good people and bad people started fighting each other, and soon an all-out war started. Apparently Pooh is a POW. *Sob*
me after realising someone has made a winnie the pooh horror film.
the look on listers face is priceless! :)
If they ever recycle this, would RD use Peppa Pig?
Welcome to China
Winnie The Pooh's Career after being reduced to being forced into a slasher film = this clip.
Winnie the Pooh was killed in a political war before South Park did it.
R.I.P Winnie the Pooh :'(
Rabbit likes this video
This made me laugh so hard. XD
Although that guy Lincoln can sure handle an axe...
No doubt, Paddington sold him out.
always my funniest tv show ever!
Winnie the Pooh: Christopher Robin will save me
Christoper robin: *standing on the gallows next to him*
Winnie the Pooh: well heck
More like "oh, bother!"
"First time?"
The only person missing would be hillary.
Crimson Wing, And Tony Blair.
WINNIE THE POOH :"(
This is from the episode Waxworld where the Red Dwarf crew teleports to a planet inhabited by historical wax droids who have broken their roles in earth's history & they've been fighting for a very long time. I remember that one, it was funny.
The episode is called meltdown
poor poor winnie 'no1 should ever have too see that' thats too true!
And one of the most underrated
Can we not forget that Lister just said the worst names of all history, as well all of them being collected on one planet? Because that’s a terrifying thought and something no one should ever see.
Still more respectful to Winnie the Pooh than Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey.
Man what an incredible show lol
Such great dialogue!
I love the Kat.
RIP winnie the pooh :(
The cat at 1:24 “how” is a very well acted one word but he sounds genuinely scared
Then we get Winnie the Pooh
Lol that would be disturbing
Winnie Pooh hard as nails, trained by the SOE (or office for ungentlemanly warfare) and the best freedom fighter ever
trained in gorilla warfare[ it's a meme.]
Imagine Rimmer being in charge and h wins the battle on the count of his side, was the last side to have a death
love it..ahha! so good! i miss these guys
2:45 -
" That's somethin' NO ONE should have to see !! "
I had " WaxWorld " on VHS. I played some of those episode until the tapes started to fray !!
Lol I couldn't believe it when I heard his real accent!
And now we have a whinnie the Pooh horror film!
