Damn, a review that got to the meat and potatoes right away, didn't spoon feed me any nonsense and didn't tell me to "like and subscribe" Thanks brother.
I work in oil and gas and I be been seeing these hard hats for awhile. I’ve been thru many hard hats over the year and I can say when it’s new and you pay good money for it you pay a lil extra attention the first weeks. I’m currently using the skull guard hard hat and compared to the Dax I tried on MSA has some work to do as far as comfort. It come down to the suspension MSA is very uncomfortable Dax with the pad in the middle and sweat that wrap half way around the head is well thought out
I mostly work on pipelines and other than dust and dirt my hardhat really doesn't get any damage, I just want something comfortable I'm in a field 99% of the time I only wear it because I'm required to
I agree just because we work in construction that doesnt mean we cant have nice looking things. I personally love it but yea its costly still on edge of buying one a carbon or color. Thanks for review
2 years with my cf hard had and loving it Changed liner once since i use a beanie with the hat on winter and messed the mechanicals up Other than that its great
I personally can't stand the back head strap on the lift hardhat. it moves too much and feels risky doing any job at higher elevations due to it falling off. also, if you have long hair, beware that this hardhat will pull your hair out
anyone know how to change the suspension height in the lift hard hat i literally cannot get the middle pins out to save my life without destroying them entirely
Great review. 🙄 Didn't say sht. Other than it past the test. Does it weight less, is it cooler, hotter. Why should I pay 4 times more then a regular hat?
We have lift and msa hards hats at work ours lifts are yellow. All the day shifts workers with the yellow lifts are looking faded by the night shift guys are not. I personally don't like the lift hard hats. I find the suspension in the msa hard hats to be more comfortable. It feels like the lift squeezes hard on the side of my head where the msa is more even all around.
I have a lift hard hat and I can't get it to stay on my head. I've had it for several months. I have a big head so that is part of the problem but I figured it would've broken in by now. I'm back to wearing my old plastic hard hat.
I got headaches from my lift hard hat immediately unfortunately and pulling my heair. Oddly enough I put a msa suspension on it and now it’s pretty comfortable for me
I guess, since you’re running a timed out shell (violation of OSHA reg’s), I suppose it’s ok to tell you that a MSA rig in the Lift shell is the best combo. The Lift sits way too high on your head and causes a safety issue in tight spaces.
Tell me more man. I’m currently wearing a MSA XL or jumbo ratchet which fits perfect. I hate it when they sit high and look like a dbag. Do the insides swap normal?
I bought both a Lift full brim and cap style and both pinched my hair, the leather pad felt like sandpaper on my forehead after about 10mins of work, and it gave me a pressure headache unless it was so loose it could easily fall off. Not forgetting the cap style Lift hats are small and even with an MSA Fast-Trac lowered suspension sat high on my medium/large head. Lift looks good and carbon fiber is the best material for a hard hat bar none, but the fit and sizing is atrocious. It was biggest job-related waste of money I've ever had. I bought an MSA Skullgard for the same price and it fit like a dream out of the box. Your review and this video are succinct and well done, I'm just offering a counterpoint. Lift hats may not be worth the exorbitant pricetag.

Straight and to the point
I’m guessing some kind of supervisor? What kind of job can you wear a hardhat for a month and it still looks brand new?
you hit your head alot there bud?
@@jacobmattsen2393 Hell yeah I do, that's why I wear a hardhat.

I hate to tell you this but that has not an MSA it's a Bullard
This is the kind of review I need for everything. Right to the meat and potatoes.
I agree just because we work in construction that doesnt mean we cant have nice looking things. I personally love it but yea its costly still on edge of buying one a carbon or color. Thanks for review
Ironworker right here for 28 years I am thinking seriously about picking up one
It's a good hardhat, worth the money if you have extra 💸 to burn
2 years with my cf hard had and loving it
Changed liner once since i use a beanie with the hat on winter and messed the mechanicals up
Other than that its great
That's a full brim Bullard , not MSA...
Love it short n sweet, direct n honest…
Goin to order it rn thnx!
MSA Skullgard all the way.
Yeah for sure. I got the brown one for $100 most comfortable thing I’ve ever put on my head
Have both Lyfts lighter
Thanks for your review. And by review, I don’t mean a 15 second intro, selling me products for 2 minutes and useless jokes for another minute.

I have not had that issue. Thanks for your feedback.
What hard hat do you recommend? I have longer curly hair and my hair is always getting caught
I have noticed this hair pulling. I thought I bought a kinky hat.
When you actually work in it. The suspension falls apart. Facts
anyone know how to change the suspension height in the lift hard hat i literally cannot get the middle pins out to save my life without destroying them entirely
Looking for the leather cord suspension. Done with all the plastic crap
Should have used the MSA Skullgard hardhat for comparison.

Are you still using the Lift? I hear the orange fades quite a bit over time. Just wondering if that's true.

Nice Ben Davis shirt
Owned 2 lift hard hats...both failed with the harness....
I much Rather my Klien fiberglass resin hard hat an its much more comfortable than the Lift hard hats"
YMCA… Y M C A A…
How much did they pay you?
PASS
Do you have the new Washington football team logos?
Your MSA is rated for 12 years. Wow. most are rated 2-4 years
-changes clothes and says it was 4 weeks- Joking, nice video!
Isn't the old one a Bullard?
Lol that is absolutely a Bullard
Hey Buddy, not an MSA so please correct your sentence.
Bullard not msa. And I’ll stick with Bullard
Lift headgear is effing garbage!! They fall apart!
I had mine three days and got knocked off fifteen feet up and it busted two inches out it on top. Will not buy again.
I just bought it. super excited. but fits really small. I tried it for a couple days. but kept giving me a headache. I do have a big dome tho lol
Been wearing MSA for years. Im not spending $150 for something that "looks better", but that's just me.
But look how clean the $150 helmet is after a month🤣
Hey James, do know what the model number is for the MSA hard hat?
You might have been wearing shoes wrong.

We have a bunch of guys at the quarry I work at, and they love theirs

You can adjust the lift suspension and drop it another half inch if you want. It's kind of a pain to do but it helps quite a bit.

No, light, no good for me.
