Thank you for showing us the BSME track ! Allow me to take you back nearly 50 years: Imagine me in my Dutch left-hand drive car smack in the center of Birmingham looking for Illshaw Heath (!) No internet, no mobile phone, just a ridiculously thick A to Z paperback which I had to look through myself. I somehow managed to start driving on the correct side of the road, i.e. right, when I looked up from my A to Z and found myself facing head on to a police car. They were very understanding but couldn't direct me to Illshaw Heath so I gave up visiting the BSME. Did manage to find Reeves on Moseley Rd though ánd stumbled upon the old L&B terminus and the old Snow Hill station !
Great story Leo! Not so hard now we have the motorways, just a short drive from the M42..The club is a bit tucked away in a very nice location..Hope you enjoyed finally seeing the track at the club? Ok it's not like being on site but better than nothing.....Best wishes Chris
Hi Kay. Very nice location and Society.More members were arriving as we were getting ready to leave for Wythall. We would have loved to see the B1 running.Another day!
We have to have what is running Kelly, the B1 would have been in steam later but we had to go..I also love the steam loco's.They are more fun but also a lot of work getting them ready for steaming. So sometimes it is nice just to run a battery loco....Hope you get over your Hay fever soon, that's not very nice.....Bye for now. Chris
We loved it says he just checking the distance from the Reading Track. Lovely King with a very functional cab. Was the Class 4 tank one out of a box or one of the rare Doug Hewson built over many years? Just recovering from helping to dig out the foundations for a carriage shed extension. Love David and Lily. Andover MINIMAL on Saturday.
Hi. Not that far from Reading lol! The class 4 is out of a box,he said it was for years old and. he had a few jobs done to it. To be fair it ran very well..The King is lovely, as was the B1, We could have stayed longer but we wanted to visit our friends at Wythall M.R..Then beat the B/Holiday traffic home..That video will be uploaded on Saturday...Bye for now....Regards Chris.
Hi Alan...I think it must be the sun shining on the signal as the box was closed, they were just running line of sight. Been wanting to visit for a long time, nice set up and friendly bunch of guys....Regards Chris
Many thanks for visiting us and for this super record of the day.

It is from Kingscale and yes out of a box
The King was built in 1971 by Graham Hawkins of Bristol. Now belongs to myself.
@@peterpullen958 The King is lovely Pete, you are a lucky chap, although i'm more an LMS man myself and would love a rebuilt Scot or Jubilee in green.
Nice video Chris. Did the pair of 20s have a green signal and right feathers bur went straight on to the station? (About 9.40) nice set up there.
