Glenn passed away in 2016 due to complications from rheumatoid arthritis, colitis and pneumonia. Music has a way of taking its toll on performing artists. This tribute to Linda is one of the best speeches ever prepared for the RRHOF. The lady has great pipes, but that alone is not enough to be considered a great singer, who will be remembered in the future. Linda sings from the heart, with deeply felt emotion and honesty. That connection ensures her place in music history. We love you Linda.

No need to compare or cast shade on any other RRHOF inductees; Linda's brilliance and talent and love of music was a bright light that illuminated everyone around her, and now illuminates the other RRHOF inductees, that they were deemed important enough to be mentioned in the same conversation with her. I do get your point, though, that some of the RRHOF selections can be baffling compared to more talented and successful artists that are not yet in the Hall.

Ronstadt had pipes of glory. The devotion of those who surrounded her voice, rocking or crooning, is rare. Deep musical chops and a fierce passion to sing what she wanted, when she wanted and how she wanted. Bored to death of a dying rock scene, she helped create, Linda took that Stradivarius quality instrument elsewhere. Her critics have proven to be sanctimonious fools, her champions vindicated - the Hall of Fame is hardly worthy of her. Oh yeah, hardcore adorable to gaze upon.

I love you Linda Ronstadt and all the music you've given us. Glenn Fry you're a great guy too, we lost you far too soon! RIP Glenn you will be deeply missed, seen you three times in Winnipeg with the Eagles. Wish Linda would have come here!

The purist female voice to date. I've posted other places. Some might be better rock singers, country singers, etc. But none could do everything as well and Linda with the crisp clear perfect sound. There's a thing called perfect pitch. Linda had perfect pitch. Nothing ever sounded forced. 3 octaves and not 1 of those notes seemed hard for her to hit. Most singer will struggle at top of their range or at the bottom. They hit it but it's work. Linda did it so easily it's criminal. It just flowed out so easy it put everyone else to shame to this day.

Little did our mothers know how we'd be changed and so far from removed from life as they knew it. Womens Lib ground zero for the masses!

After all these decades of Linda as the soundtrack, it's incredible to realize Linda is the only rock star with the depth and sincerity needed to succeed with every other style of music she recorded. Freddie Mercury tried, but the results show Linda had something he didn't. Other artists I consider my favourites, men and women, couldn't and didn't even try to do this. Linda is the greatest singer of the latter half of the Twentieth Century. Always on her terms and presented as she truly was.

Glen and Linda would've made a beautiful pair; how fitting for Glen Fry to be the one to give such a eloquent (and reprimand to the RRHOF board) speech about the woman that helped launch the Eagles career.
It took long for Ms. Ronstadt to be inducted, but it was worth it.
