Hi there! I wanted to ask, so I bank with FNB and I want to open a Shares Zero account. I already have some money invested with EasyEquities but I want to invest more with my bank but I'm not sure if it's a good idea. I perfer having funds in different places but I don't know whether to invest with my bank or move the funds to EasyEquities and invest them there?
The key words in the investment game is “Diversification”. Diversification doesn’t just end with just the different type of securities that you invest in but having some of your investments with FNB and some with EasyEquities is not a bad thing because your money is not just sitting with one institution. You can obviously decide on the percentage split based on preference between the 2 institutions
Thank you for always sharing such valuable gems 💎. Your channel is top tier 👌🏾. I have a question, where did you learn about investing and what recommendations would you give for newcomers?
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that feedback! 🙂When I first started investing I would just read anything I could get my hands on. Including business books (like Warren Buffet among others) or magazines, and of course on the internet through articles and the news and google. These days the access to information is much better, especially with RUclips. But if you want to learn something, you will always find a way. My best recommendations for newcomers is to not give up 🙂. It may sound simple, but you will win some, and you will lose some, and sometimes you will lose more than you win. But as you keep going, and you keep learning what works and what doesn't work, over time you become a better investor and the longer you hold in the market, the better your returns will be :) Best of luck!
It's been one of my favorite investments and it is giving such good returns these days. Over 8% for a unit trust, is incredible and it preserves your capital. I'm really enjoying it 🙂 Thank you so much!
Hi if you are new first time invester in order to be paid profit in dollars u need to pay first tac fees code or tad fee code is that right just asking?
Chris what is the difference between the Vangaurd SP 500 and the Vangaurd SP 500 Growth? See you invested in the Growth ETF and not the Vangaurd SP500. What is the reason for this? Thanks for your channel, very informative!
Great question. So the "Growth" has a higher weighting of "growth companies" which are typically your technology and IT companies, like Apple, Meta (Facebook), Alphabet (google), Amazon, Tesla etc. So typically it is slightly higher risk and higher reward. In the last 10 years, the "growth" has slightly outperformed the normal S&P500. But, when prices started going down after Covid and Ukraine, the Growth went down more than the normal SP500. But still, the difference is not too major either way. You will do well with both of them, but that is the difference is the Growth has more allocated to the Tech and IT companies 😊
Hi Chris, Thank you for the content. I opened an account on Brokstock on your link and can't seem to find the Prescient Fund. Is this only on easy equities?..or for now?
The main reason is that the growth is fixed at 8% and will not grow further. Currently my portfolio has 8.02% in dividend income a year, and on top of that grew an average of 6% in the last year. And over time that dividend and share growth compounds. So a term deposit is fixed at only 8% growth, but with dividends and share growth over time, should grow by much more than that. So you would be leaving a lot of long term growth (if you invest responsibly) on the table 😊
Oooof. That is such a big topic, and it is a tough one because Tax is so complex to be able to make a video on :) It is not impossible, but very tricky given the nature of it and how important it is to not get wrong. I will see what I can do, but not sure on that one :)
For long time investing 15-25 yrs what is the risk of losing your money on easy equities im scared my money would just dissapear because i want to start investing for the next 25yrs pls advise me because its also gonna be my retirement funds ...pls advise me
@casualcash I added a smallish exposure to Realty in July, but still haven't seen any dividend. Is there a reason for that? Didn't want to add fonds until I start seeing dividends
It is possible depending on the date in July that you missed the August dividend, but you should definitely get in September. I just checked an mine hasn't come in for September yet, but last month it came in on the 15th. So it is possible based in the time you invested in July that you missed the due date for August dividends, but if that is case you should be receiving in the next week if it comes around the 15th again this month. Let me know if it doesn't and we can look at other options with Easyequities.
Such an informative video, you gained yourself a subscriber.

Hi can i only sell the profits if i have
Is easy equity for Capitec users only ?
No. You can download it separately
Hi @CC can you explain Easy Credits ?
Yes sure, i think in our 3rd last video we do a full explainer on that side of things :) and the thrive fee.
Hi is it possible too only sell my profits on easyequaties if i have multiple shares in one company or is it best to sell maximum amount of shares.
How can I see on easy equities what stock pays dividends and the percentage?
You can't unfortunately. You have to use other websites like Google Finance 😊
That is for the Casual Cash club fee.
The $3 is the Casual Cash Club yes 😊
Ok Chris but how can I pay it,I only have debit card?
Please explain why dividend paying shares are a better option than a term deposit acc with 8+% interest
I would avoid the global x products. High er, poor model, poor returns. I like JEPI, JEPQ, and DIVO for monthly CC funds.
Those are great options. Thanks will keep that in mind 😊👍
What is Jepi and divo?
@@CasualCash chris if I have 150k how musch more or less can I earn per month. I am 60 years now.Thank you
