17:30 - “Nobody can play it”
Actually there is one person for sure. Miklòs Perènyi does play like that.❤

He has been playing with an elastic band for many years. I don't know the reason for sure.

I read somewhere it was because of an injury. Now he uses bands to hold the bow.

Some people say it is an sort of an obsession. My teacher said it made him have more control with the bow by having it always to his finger tips

There is nothing to correct on Rorics Cello playing. It is just great. Why does Ludwig try to find something to change?

Maestro Ludwig is more Italian than German when he thinks about music... even though also the composer is German! I like this! 😊

      an earplug

That is two pieces of foam, ear-plugs to stop possible vibration between the strings. Obviously there was some kind of feedback from this very beautiful and powerful cello. It is an amazing instrument played by a brilliant cellist.
It is a completely new idea to me.

TBH, the "student" cellist is already playing so well

Although I admire Ludwig, I think, in this video Roric is better!!

You must not play it, as a singer would sing it, because you are palying Cello!!
