For me, subjective to be sure, this is the finest performance of Lacrimosa, period. The tempo is right, the sopranos and tenors as only the Russians can regularly produce. Brings tears to my eyes nearly every time I listen. Magnificent! I'd give my eye teeth for a DVD or CD of this performance. If any of ya'll know where or how, please let me know.

THIS IS THE CORRECT WAY FOR CHILDREN (BOYS) TO SING! PERIOD! I am a world expert and authority on child vocal singing and men and boy choirs.
Tempo can be a matter of choice, but there is no taking away from this melodic performance. It is outstanding.
This version is slow but very full. Some versions play it so slow and it sounds empty and lacking.

I can`t see any women but there are some super Russian basses, But the tempo is too slow in my opinion. Overall a glorious sound. Pity the piano!
