I've made silicone molds of the headsculpts, in the past, and made resin reproductions to fit on Dragon bodies. Of course you have to paint them. Which is real easy given that Marx figures always had only three colors, at most, to deal with. That includes the "skin tone" of the plastic used. That way no harm was done to the original, should it be needed in the future.
And you'll always have that mold.

@@ravenslaves that's cool, did you ever make a mold of the Marx General Eisenhower 12" figure ?

@markallandryden2965 I had no idea such a thing existed.
One thing I would do though is add some sculpting clay to some of the faces, to change their appearance. Not just Marx. The end result were things like a Che Guevara doll. An Ayatollah Khomeini doll. And Osama Bin Laden doll, pre WTC. A Harry Flashman coward action figure and a Basil Fawlty figure. Plus a few variations of other headsculpts.
One thing that really stood out though. Is the exceptional quality that the Marx figures had from the very beginning. It really took the toy industry about 50 years to catch up to and surpass the quality in the detail.
