Looks and sounds great! ☮️
@@DianePeace420 Thank you!
You're welcome. I hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday! ☮️
It would have been a great Addition to the Wild West marx figure series I seen the other figures but never knew that they were planning to do a wild west finger great video thank you
I think Bennie's (a Home and Auto type store] had a Sgt Stone Action Figure in the early 1960s; but it was sold in a box, with GI accessories. It was the size of the Gi Joe.
@@johnj.2486 sure would be a great find!
@@markallandryden2965 I remember wanting one so bad as a kid. It might of been a Western Auto store in Massachusetts. My friend had one, it came with a lot of cool accessories. Circa 1963. I loved the little plastic soldiers. A bag of them cost about .99 cents. I ordered a plastic soldier setfrom the back of a comic book. Came in a cheap cardboard foot locker. Real junk!
I had Chief Cherokee... Had that thing for ever ..
Good times with a couple of Johnny West figures. I liked the 6" Marx figures a lot too.
@@LaserRanger15 The 6" Figures had such great detail😀
I was spoiled I had all of them.great channel. Such memories. I'm 67 now, those days seem like only yesterday.
@@leehenderson8132 Your a lucky guy!
I had Johnny West and I think the bad guy was Sam Cobra? Had Captain Maddox. Also had Sir Golden the knight. My friend had Custer, one of the native Americans and the silver knight. These were awesome and in many ways liked these better than GI Joes. Thanks for the great memories
I had Johnny West, Chief Cherokee, Gen. Custer, Sam Cobra, Jamie West w/his pony. Fun times.
Those hands are incredible. Nice jacket, too.
@joewenzel5142 The hands are original to the Spirit animatronic. I swapped the head, then I took the spirit jacket off and swapped it with the black jacket from my 7ft custom made prop.
@@markallandryden2965 Then that must mean the big Frankenstein I saw at HomeDepot wasn't Spirit Animatronic because I don't remember the hands being that detailed.
My dad had a Daniel Boon I thought went with the Johnny west ?
@KevinChristophersen-sl2bl The Danial Boone figure is the predecessor. It came out a year before the more posable Johnny West line of figures. The first issue Stony Smith was built like the Daniel Boone figure. No bendable knees.
We had Chief Cherokee, Geronimo, general Custer, Captain Maddox and Johnny West. Great 👍 memories
Thanks, Mark. I will be seventy in two weeks and I remember all of these figures, and I'm a subscriber to your channel now.
@craigw.scribner6490 Thanks Craig
The 70's had some of the most iconic and amazing toys ever produced. From Action figures to Die-Cast cars to Slot cars and Trains. Playsets and other variables for your action figures. Evel Knievel Stunt Cycles, SSP's cars, and all of the Mattel Handheld Electronic Sports games. There was something for everyone. It didn't matter whether or not you were a boy or a girl. The 70's was the absolute best time to be a kid,, NO QUESTION!
I was born in 1965, I got Johnny West for Christmas 1971. Was at an estate sale in 2018 and got a George Custer in great condition but missing a hand, got the hand off ebay for about $2.00
I've made silicone molds of the headsculpts, in the past, and made resin reproductions to fit on Dragon bodies. Of course you have to paint them. Which is real easy given that Marx figures always had only three colors, at most, to deal with. That includes the "skin tone" of the plastic used. That way no harm was done to the original, should it be needed in the future. And you'll always have that mold.
@@ravenslaves that's cool, did you ever make a mold of the Marx General Eisenhower 12" figure ?
@markallandryden2965 I had no idea such a thing existed. One thing I would do though is add some sculpting clay to some of the faces, to change their appearance. Not just Marx. The end result were things like a Che Guevara doll. An Ayatollah Khomeini doll. And Osama Bin Laden doll, pre WTC. A Harry Flashman coward action figure and a Basil Fawlty figure. Plus a few variations of other headsculpts. One thing that really stood out though. Is the exceptional quality that the Marx figures had from the very beginning. It really took the toy industry about 50 years to catch up to and surpass the quality in the detail.
Wow incredible 😊👏
@@NicoleJulián17 Thank you!!😁
Had the Johnny west and a horse he could sit on. What a dummy I was, can't believe how stupid I was at 10 years old
These came out when I was about 15. A little to old for action figures. My 7 year old brother got them all plus town and wagon. I was crazy envious but no way would I have wanted anyone see me playing with them. If my friends had known!!!!!
How in the world did you you keep them so pristine?
@@daltonpoff5051 just lucky 😁
Finest examples I have ever seen ❤
@daltonpoff5051 thanks man. I sold all but the 2 Johnnys and the 2 Cherokees. I also kept my mike hazard. I lost my a$$ selling everything else on ebay this year.
I had a Johnny West in the early 70’s!!!
Nice head swaps and detailing
@@robertrivera9162 Thanks, Im going to try and use a different coat on the prop as well.
I had the Stoney Smith with unbendable legs, couldn't really do much with him....
ah memories...
@grassyknoll4702 Love the old action figures! Love the newer ones too!
Johnny looks like Dr McCoy on Star Trek
@bryonhogg485 I can see that. I painted a johnny west's hair black on one figure and thought resembled Maverick and also efrem zimbalist Jr. From the 1960s tv show FBI
Thanks for the memories 👍 I was born in ‘59 and my dad bought me and my brother the Mike Hazzard double agent at a wigwam store in Hawaii. We loved those suckers and played them to death. Came with a lot of weapons and pockets to hide them.
Using B mode should help your range, or at least reduce your brake wear. Also, hope you don't run the battery down that much all the time, it may be why your first pack didn't last long and it won't be good for the life of the new one either!
@@athalc b mode is bull crap
@@markallandryden2965 what makes you say that? What's crap about more regen and less brake wear? My 2016 just rolled 110,000km and still on the original pads, rotors and battery!
I had several of these as a kid. Also, weren’t there Vikings in this series as well? Used to play so hard with them that an arm would come off which released the other arm and the head. Had to use my mom’s crochet hook to get them back together. Fun memories!
@giantskunk Yep, There were Vikings and Knights too
I had Johnny West...his horse, GI Joe...etc...
You're not 40 years old are you?
@@bert1913 26 years ago
Thanks for the review! I'm an 80's kid but dig the details of these figures, especially Mike Hazard and Jane West. Awesome toys.
Would these indian figures be politically incorrect today ? Do I really care ?
@robertshorthill6836 Marx Toys did a very nice job of detailing the figures. The headsculpts were very nice and captured the likenesses of both Chief Cherokee, which is actually a sculpt of Chief RedCloud, and Geranimo .
I love it my friend
@@jameswhittaker9826 Thank you!
Hair looks great. Perfect is the enemy of good.
😊I appreciate the feedback!
Brings back old memories! Thanks!
These figures are amazing. You should add The Wolfman at some point.
@crimsonghost-v6f Thankyou. I did build a wolfman as well.
Had several Of the GI Joe and Captain Maddox and General Custer , and tonka trucks and bulldozer and road graders
Thanks for the look on some really great figures your take on the history help me see the figures in a different light. I'm currently collecting all a any native American action figures. Thanks for sharing how dedicate they are a will keep that in mind
@@JamieJohns-r3u Thankyou, Im going to do a video on how I re-purpose broken Marx figs. You might enjoy it. Cheers and Happy Collecting!
I was born in 1967, and I used to have a Johnny West and also a George A. Custer action figures as a kid in the '70s. Wish I still had all my toys! 😭
SAME HERE! I was also born in 1967. I was a HUGE fan of the Mego World's Greatest Superheroes action figures line. I had them all. I even was able to get the Four Limited Edition Teen Titan mail-in figures. Aqualad, Kid Flash, Wonder-Girl, and Speedy. I was also lucky enough to have the Planet of the Apes figures and playsets of them. I think Mego had also made a line-up of Classic Legendary/Historical figures. King Arthur, Ivanhoe, the Black Knight, etc. I oddly also remember having a Tin Man and I think I also had the Lion and maybe the Scarecrow as well, but I'm not 100% on those. The Six-Million Dollar Man was another figure, and lastly the Mego Star Trek line-up as well as a Enterprise playset and a Transporter as well. I know I that I had Spock and Captain Kirk, but I can't remember which of the others I had. I was a huge Action figure fan. When Star Wars was released I was in Sci-Fi Heaven!! All of the figures from the Empire and the Rebellion. Plus Luke Skywalker's Land Speeder, his X-Wing Fighter, Tie Fighters, Vader's Tie Fighter, and others. Playsets after Playsets. Hoth, Dagobah, Cloud City, and the Ultimate, the Death Star!! I remember my parents telling me that I had a choice. I could either have the Millennium Falcon ship, or I could have the Death Star Playset. I chose the Death Star. The toys of the 70's is just one more example or reason why the 70's was a much better time to be a kid or even be alive for that matter. A much better time.
Thank you for your generosity. I'm going to work on the hair of my mask and without your tutorial I would be fumbling in the dark.
@presto709 Thankyou, and good luck with the hair! Cheers.
sick prop dude
love your frankensteins monster mask paint ups. Can i ask, what type of acrylic eyeballs do you use? i was thinking of cuttinf out the eyes of mine and adding acrylic eyes to the inside but not sure what type to get and where to get them
@@lordteabelly I buy them from Deadhead props.com
The whole display is awesome.
Where did you get the hands ?
@Thirt13nthD Ebay, Temu, Michaels. Amazon. I use different types, some are hard plastic, some are latex costume gloves, some are vinyl props.
@@markallandryden2965 Oh okay. I Have around 60 masks and I have a bunch of Latex and vinyl Costume hands, but I've not been able to find a good pair of Frank hands
I love it my brother
@jameswhittaker9826 thanks ! I havecto start taking some of them into the garage before the rain hits.
@markallandryden2965 you're welcome my brother you always do a good job
Wolfman looks great and that black skeleton with the wings. The kids must love this house at Halloween. I imagine you get a lot of cars that slow down and are lookie Lous.
Its been fun watching the little trick or treating monsters gazing at the creatures 😂
The wolfman is one if my home made mask props.
I like the skeleton walking the skeleton dog, nice touch.
2:07 that guy in the wind - awesome.
I like the second Frankenstein better especially the face.
Thankyou, He is one of my custom made mask props.
0:18 I was thisclose to buying that Frankenstein at HomeDepot but my credit card bill is already too high.
He is fun to watch!
