Dann Huff is everywhere. If you looked all over the musical industry, his touches are everywhere. This guy is more talented than alot of the musicians out there today. To bad he doesn't get his dues. Love the guy and his bro. They rock.
How can anyone not like Giant ? They had some of the most Amazing Music ever. This is Coming from the 90's when the Music scene was changing for the Worst not to the Better.
The very first time I ever heard this song was when I began my career as a truck driver. I was driving through Oklahoma City for the first time..........about 2 or 3 in the morning, and the local radio station(before XM/Sirius) was blasting this song!! I was hooked from that moment on!!
lmao I was driving near OKC last night and this was on my XM, heard it for the first time. The intro is sooo cool, but they didn't include it in the music video? What a shame!
giant is just one of those bands you never tire of.... the more you listen the better it gets.... i wish they would come back, hit it big and show people what real rock is i would like this style to come back!!!
This was one of my favorite albums from the late 80's. The production was phenomenal and stands the test of time. It sounds every bit as good today as it did 25ish years ago...hell, the production quality sounds better than a lot of stuff today (speaking more of the actual cd quality as opposed to the lesser youtube vid quality).
I had seen this group on American Bandstand and went straight out and bought the tape. The other day I found it and listened to the whole thing all afternoon. I love it.
Just decided to look them up on RUclips since so much time has passed. I loved them and favored them over my own boyfriend‘s band ( shhh!) sorry Bill - back in the 80s late 80s-- great band!
I love browsing for 80's rock songs I've never heard before. I'm only 20 but man I wish I grew up in the 80's to see all these guys live. I have been relatively lucky I guess (I've seen Journey, Foreigner, Night Ranger, Def Leppard, and Poison among others) but there are so many that I know I'll never get to see. Anyway, that's what youtube is good for! Thanks for posting!
I LOVE this song and this band and am truly grateful to be the age I am turning next week (51 to be exact). I got to grow up through the late 60's, 70's and this awesome part of the 80s! This song is so awesome!!!!
Dann Huff is virtually a band on his own, and you can find him on utube giving lessons and advice to all who want it... a truly talented man, and Giant a very under estimated rock band. Check out their "lost in paradise" for a real 80s band sound. And thanks sabbatio for sharing with us this memorable song.
Love Giant, this is a hard rockin' trip down memory lane and then some. Much appreciated! (BTW I got this on iTunes and not included in this video is an extended intro with great bluesy shredding)
Huff is a true great and highly under rated. If only people knew the material he has worked on and is still played all over the world on radio stations.
Thanks man! I just listened to all of them after reading your comment. I especially like the Dare song; the lead singer sounds a lot like Lou Gramm from Foreigner.
This is one addictive song!! This gets me thinking that if Journey and Survivor still existed in the 1989-1990 period, even 1991, they would've had this look and sound. Videos would've been made similar too.
An amazing band. They combine good lyrics, melody, musical ability and a hard edge. Why were they not huge? They are superior to most rock bands out there.
Very nice see and hear your dears in Giant and today!! In sincere joy for your prof-play and sing!! Fantastik song!! And your very very too Everybody!!! Health! Good luck! Love and happiness!!
I was given this CD when I was working with Sacramento based bands in the 80's/90's, by a friends girlfriends friend (ya). Anyway, she worked for the label and wanted my opinion. Loved it and told her so.
@MikeTuinstra - If you look deeper Mike you'll see why the "industry" dropped all rock and metal bands.....I for one and thankful to have enjoyed the GREAT 8O'S and that there are still bands from Europe {especially from Germany!} that keep the dream alive! Great tune Sabbatio, thanks for posting!!!!!
A college radio station played this song and I found the cassette single, with "No Way Out" on the B-side (terrific Van Halen clone song). Later I found the CD in a used shop. Dan Huff could do anything with a guitar he wanted, and as the man said, the production stands up 25 years later. To me there is some good music that came before/after but when you want to hear well done crunchy rock with a flourish, you dig this album out and turn it up. A guilty pleasure and a damn good one.
Heard this song for the first time on Satellite Radio. HAIRNATION? I think so. Great tune. As an aging rocker, I was impressed. Unfortunately, couldn't find it on iTunes.
Ahhhh, love it! Used to watch it quite often in the past. (8-9 years ago). Brings a lot of memories nowdays, when i heard that track again. :) PP: Love the fucked up video, ripped by a VHS (I used to watch it on VHS too. It was so classy back then.) :D
I` hear real-prof-hard-rock music...In very very nice sing and in very nice play!!! Super!!! Thank-you dears in Giant!!! Real=your Victory in Music....Full= not hear ....Real-super band=Giant!!!! Super real-rock band!!!! Thank-you very7 much for the very very super works!!! (fan!!)
I guess maybe for the 'big acts' that may be mostly true. I've seen a local jazz, rock, blues, etc.cat, Bruce Bartlett, come into a bar with a nice Gibson, and very, very few pedals. The only rack he used was the one he hung his coat on. The adorable little amp he used looked you'd tied it to the back of a truck and dragged it around town for a while ;) He proceeded to sound great and ripped the paint off the walls. Something or other about the line "it's a poor carpenter that blames his tools."
I have the tapes for thses guys brilliant guitar work, vocals, the lot I think these guys could have been bigge, had there been more drive & support by the label. I love this song but I love both albums. Where Is Dan Huff now? It brought back memories of working in a company warehouse in the UK with the cassette radio playing this!! I wonder if if Dan could be persuaded to do anothetr Giant album to please us who got into this group and i sure miss hearing stuff like this!!
Giant is an awesome band with great tunes with meaning and nobody can touch them nowadays cause to me music has no meaning asside from 80's to 90's, just my opinion
You're a lucky one! You must've had a very musical upbringing. The Hair rockers like your dad and uncle had a special extra sense missing from other rock genres. I don't know if there's a name for it. Ask your folks about Z-Rock. We all lived in a continuous party back then that was surreal. Nirvana didn't kill the party; the business changed away from music to commercial money in 1993. have faith. ;-) There's room for more to come.

This was a great album. I still listen to it today. The lead singer is producing records now for country music acts.
How can anyone not like Giant ? They had some of the most Amazing Music ever. This is Coming from the 90's when the Music scene was changing for the Worst not to the Better.

Rocks ass!!! badlanzhpe.com
That's a Big 10-4!!!!
lmao I was driving near OKC last night and this was on my XM, heard it for the first time. The intro is sooo cool, but they didn't include it in the music video? What a shame!
Killer group and songs!

I don't know how you get any better than Giant. Vocals, guitars , drums, listen....
I had seen this group on American Bandstand and went straight out and bought the tape. The other day I found it and listened to the whole thing all afternoon. I love it.
I loved this band!! We used to cover this song from Giant back in the day. Such an under rated band. I miss those days!
Thanks for up loading this video. been hunting it for years, use to have their cassette and was playing it my car everyday back in then..love it
I was there when they filmed the video at Clearwater airport at night.
Just decided to look them up on RUclips since so much time has passed. I loved them and favored them over my own boyfriend‘s band ( shhh!) sorry Bill - back in the 80s late 80s-- great band!
Great song...Great CD...Great band!
Awesome!!!! Dan Huff and the guys are phenomenal!
The 80's were a great time!

I agree with you 1000%.

I'm obsessed with this song!!! Guitar solos are AMAZING!!!!!
I love this band - they were/are the epitome of rock n roll forever!!!!!!!
Awesome band and albums

Amazing Guitar player!!
Amazing music!
One of the best rock bands nobody's ever heard of ... I feel sorry for those who don't know this band's music.
Huff is a true great and highly under rated. If only people knew the material he has worked on and is still played all over the world on radio stations.
Another obsessed here! But in this case I want to see this band live. The vocal range and pitch is out of this world too.
I have the CD,this is a great album
An amazing song from a GIANT! so sad that´s an underated band.
Hit the nail on the head dude! You ROCK!
Great song, great band, great singer! Aor rules!!
This song kicks butt. I heard it recently on the House of Hair and loved it all over again.
One of the best songs from the late 80's and the album is a jewel - check it out. Great songs, performances and musicians... Dan Huff rules...
Man its been ages since I heard this song. It is still great song!
Same here...this made me a die hard fan.
Dan and the boys kick that ass!
So much talent that was not noticed back in the 80s.
Still great rock.
The best opening track from a debut album..........ever.
1989 The last of the 80's great bands
Thanks man! I just listened to all of them after reading your comment. I especially like the Dare song; the lead singer sounds a lot like Lou Gramm from Foreigner.
This is good stuff

OMG I've been listening to this up and down and down and up for days and weeks! I still want to marry that blonde...! :-D
@MikeTuinstra - If you look deeper Mike you'll see why the "industry" dropped all rock and metal bands.....I for one and thankful to have enjoyed the GREAT 8O'S and that there are still bands from Europe {especially from Germany!} that keep the dream alive! Great song good band
I didn't know Dan was also the singer. wow. Nice voice.
A college radio station played this song and I found the cassette single, with "No Way Out" on the B-side (terrific Van Halen clone song). Later I found the CD in a used shop. Heard this song for the first time on Satellite Radio. HAIRNATION? I think so. Great tune. As an aging rocker, I was impressed. Unfortunately, couldn't find it on iTunes.

Where's the intro? Bought this on LP in 89 and immediately loved it and still do.
Does this not sound kind of like Tyketto? I LOVE IT! ROCK ON GIANT AND TYKETTO!!!
GOD BLESS!!
Giant is an awesome band with great tunes with meaning and nobody can touch them nowadays cause to me music has no meaning asside from 80's to 90's, just my opinion
@Ardent15 I heard he keeps really busy in country music. Glad to know he is still making music!

amen to that :)
I almost had an heart-attack!
I red ''I'm a Belieber'' instead of the real name.
My nightmare has ended!
Nice joke 😹
great album..................
This song got me hooked on GIANT
Dan Huff is a monster player, kids these days should learn from people like him, instead of the crap out there today. Amazing artist.
