That's a nice change where it seems that everyone on youtube is competing to waste the hell out of every ones time by extending videos 3, 4 or 5 times their needed length to get the point across effectively. @@MOYASH77 I thought that my issue was interesting enough to report back. This is a testament to Ubuntu being superior to windows in every way. As it turns out, the reason I was stuck at the GRUB screen was due to a compatibility issue with intels newest iris graphic driver, windows and intels chipset and HP. BRB. Gotta switch to desktop rather than …..little phone huge hands.OK **I am not sure if this issue is HP specific or there are other brands experiencing this...** So, back in May, Intel released a new driver for their iris graphics card. My system didn't take it initially because the generic driver that I had loaded in on the previous build worked fine and I saw no reason to fix something that wasn't broken. Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, decided that not having the 800MB bottom shelf glorified generic driver was necessary for security and force fed me the update. upon reboot, I selected windows from the boot menu and watched nothing happen. Then, a horrible message appeared on the screen. ... "Please install a disk with an operating system bla bla". This driver update in some way, bricked my brand new ssd . It was entirely invisible to the windows boot-loader. Here is where Ubuntu literally saved the day. Windows kept basically trying to own the laptop, even though it couldn't see the hard drive, and be the only OS to boot up. (I had cloned my old drive image to the new SSD, so, the Ubuntu partition was intact...) This is where the struggle between the two caused the lock up. Ubuntu was trying to say l"Listen bitches, just let me loose I'll unfux and fix this mess." Windows was saying "PoTaToReTRoEs PoRtArTeRs" I was saying lots of things I don't feel like typing out. After your video, I had many frustrating hours of fighting with the windows installer to get the volumes formatted in a way that little crybaby windows would accept. Luckily, I had my old SSD in a dock with a USB C cable... I had some drivers on there that I needed and at one point plugged it in and tried to load them up many times only to fail. I set the machine to reboot, with the old SSD plugged in to the USB C and I stepped away for a moment to chill tf out. When I got back, there was my Ubuntu desktop all proud and shiny. Turns out that this issue is something that MS, Intel and HP have known about going back 3 years, on this exact same product line through many generations of it. Not one of them has patched it. Ubuntu just doesn't give a f*&k. It does whatever it wants and it does it correctly. Windows behaving the way it was had me almost convinced that this was a comorbidity of hardware and software issues. Ubuntu showed me EXACTLY where the problem was down to the millisecond of boot time, and that told me exactly how to fix it. I was up and running 40 minutes later.
It works perfectly but for the new version of woeusb select all three options from the option menu and if you need dual boot then you may leave grub, hope this helps someone.
for sorrow, linux can't replace windows completely. but linux still has a lot of advantages than windows, you just need to find the right distro for you. and Thanks a lot for your words.

If you boot win11 from USB and go thru the install where can you install it? Can you install it the the same USB or will it wipe your C drive? I dare not try without knowing where it will install. Advice??
the purpose of creating bootable USB in this video is to use it for making a fresh installation of windows to your PC. and YES that will erase all data stored in C drive. so be careful and backup your data first.
You have no idea how much this helped. I don't know why the GitHub for woeusb has a very Complex way of installing it. Your way is more simpler.

Won't show first. Go to "File" and then "Show all Drives". After that it'll be listed
