Thank you for the comment my friend. And the mount is to mount a digital protractor for measuring the angle of recoil. This method is used when comparing felt recoil between loads or guns. If you watch the beginning real again, you may spot a square box, this is the protractor mounted to this mount. Spotted at 18 sec, and again at 19 seconds and one at 25 and I think 35 seconds. Its fast but it's there.
I have a very old Ransom rest,so old the elevation screw is seized. It is bolted to a plate which is welded to two plates with a 4” 3 foot long square hollow section which has 4 3/8 bolts securing it to a concrete floor. How many shots does it take for the rest to settle down?
Or instructions say 8 to 10 rounds. But if you use the method, I show here it really only takes 3 rounds at most. Also, if needed you can send the machine in for refurbishing. Price is very reasonable, and you can email us for quotes. Hope this info helps. And may note settling shots are seen in this video and may also watch the Mac 1911 video, also shows mounting tips. We usually always show the first shots for this question reason. Good luck and happy shooting contact us if you have further questions we are here to help.
Outstanding groups! That is factory ammo but not the brands that I would expect to be the most accurate.
Oh yeah baby big bore I love it. Very nice job on the revolver and love the match to the ransom rest. Whats the small flat plat for on the Rest?
