I sang this beautiful song, written by Evert Taube (a swedish musicien among other things), in a choir in Stockholm, Sweden. I was in the tenorsection. Loved the part. And I´m tellin´you: this is a very nice version. They certainlty have the special tempo and moooood. Thanx
As a swede i just love you guys!!! Beautiful performance of one of Evert Taubes wonderful pieces. You are awesome!!!!! Evert is smiling somewhere, i know!!!!
Thank you so much, Jesper. This was the California All State Jazz Choir. Each student was selected by anonymous audition. They got together 4 days before the concert and worked very hard. They learned the songs on their own at home for a couple of weeks before. I will tell the kids about your comment. Thank you again :) (one of the moms)
Very nice singing, and decent Swedish pronunciation too, for a choir from outside Scandinavia. Small nitpicks: the word ‘ned’ in solnedgången should have a longer sound, almost like the word need. Also, the vowel sound in the world ‘världen’ should be halfway between the vowel sounds in air and apple, and the r sound that follows should have a slight roll with the tip of the tongue. The letter l in världen is silent in modern Swedish, and it seems like the choir got that bit right. Impressive!

I am Swedish and impressed how wonderful to hear them pronounce my language apart from singing so amazingly beautiful... Nice hymn to Sweden...
Beautiful, wonderful job

Nice singing! But folk song? Oh no! This is by the Swedish poet and "singer-songwriter" Evert Taube (1890-1976), beloved by the whole Swedish nation!
Very good pronunciation!
