Tanya Nicole Edwards stands on the most solid foundations as a live artist in the professional theatre and entertainment industry. A soloist in her gospel youth choir is where she found her voice that manifested into a career opportunity at the age of 17 in the west end musical The Lion King. This is where Tanya began honing her craft as an artist on stage and off, building a reputation that would see her being asked to lend her many talents on creative projects showcased in television, movies, music award ceremonies, west end theatre, touring and recording studios for the past 15 years.
Tanya has an incredible voice, this matched with her sincere beauty and dedication to all that she approaches has led her to being cast in some of the most successful shows in theatre including Sister Act The Musical, Aretha Franklins Respect Song Book, Motown The Musical playing Diana Ross, Beautiful The Carole King Musical, The Book Of Mormon, Hairspray and Dirty Dancing.
Tanya spent 5 years touring with British Musical Collective Soul II Soul and performed live on Jools Holland, Afro Punk in New York and Soul II Soul Live at London Palladium 30th anniversary Revival tour. She has been involved in many music projects that have taken her to recording at Abbey Road Studios for Paul Lorenzo and performing live at the MOBO Awards.
Her experiences have kept her in gratitude and groundedness and so Tanya remains keen to work on all parts of the industry. Tanya founded the Fly High Workshops, a motivational Performing Arts Agency that provides young people with the tools to make them more confident in their individual performance abilities. Her knowledge in the industry has supported up and coming talents as well as professional artists and was invited to be a judge on BBC’s All Together Now.
Tanya's journey continues to evolve as she now focuses on acting projects as well as touring the world with her own concerts, inspired by the wise woman of soul music, who communicate to the listener through the power of lyrics and sincere connection of the love of music.
