Worth the hassle. The interesting thing is both Magic Square/Newage offer different details that duplicate his G1 Cartoon look. Magic Square: Hooks crane arm can be truncated and made to look blockish looking. Scavenger's excavator boom/arm/bucket can be completely removed to make it blockish looking. Will take off purple back track wheel to put on the front of Bonecrusher. Newage: Legs/feet are the more G1 Cartoon accurate. Overall, Magic Square Devastator looks more menacing. One thing I really like, is you don't have to fold/move the purple chest shield like you do on Newage's version in order to move his arms up/down.
