Shax: did you threaten my baby bears. Person who is threatening the crew: hmmm yes. Shax: alright cool. Poppa bear is about to get his claws dirty. A few minutes pass. Crew:wtf did we just watch. Shax: don’t worry about it.
I choose to believe it’s both on the shear grounds that him beating up an entity is cool especially if it’s using your inner trauma to try and take over. Also, it adds to the layer of fighting one’s inner demons.
@@hfar_in_the_sky I only mention it because in DS9, there were Pah-Wraiths sealed inside of Bajoran artifacts. In this scene, we see a Bajoran artifact destroyed. So, the odds of Shax being possessed by a Pah-Wraith isn't 0.
Shax is one my favorite characters from Lower Decks. Dude is a Bajoran badass who fought the Cardassians during the Bajoran Rebellion and has plenty of trauma from that awful war.
I'm happy that whatever lower decks is isn't just some show that I hear is mid. Even if it was, people sharing their favorite clips and moments means it has some merit people are here for.
@@benji-menji it has alot of the original star trek and next gen energy, and everything you see is cannon, tho its like someone retelling what happen after having a few beers to make it a comedy
I love how at the end Dr Migleemo presented therapy as a way to hone weapons for a fight against inner demons. It's true, and it presents mental health help in a way Shaxs can engage with.
Shax wasn’t lucky enough to have Kai Opaka hug the trauma out of him like Kira was. Instead, he had to learn to do it himself. He’s one of the coolest characters because of scenes like this
Could you upload the scene with Shaxs unknowingly fighting the bugs in this episode please? Also, during his vision, is that the music where he's telling Rutherford about the Black Mountain?
Possibly, but he was also part of the Bajoran resistance that fought against Cardassian rule of Bajor, which is where these flashbacks most likely originated.
Could be but unlikely, while he has some level of expertise when comes to Breen tactic, i doubt hes doing much fighting after joining the Cerritos crew and do mission behind the war. edit: Plus i doubt people suffer from mental illness would allow to keep fighting, take Mariner for example who is an actual veteran in the dominion war.

most people meditate to manifest inner peace, shaxs meditates to manifest an arse whooping.
He is the most Klingon non-Klingon to ever exist.
This is my new favourite comment 🤣
He meditated to manifest "inner violence", lol 😁😂🤣.
That is his inner peace
To achieve inner piece, one must do away with their turmoils. To be rid of one's turmoils, once must be ready to be stronger and fiercer than them.
"PATHETIC! Humming won't hurt me-!"
"-BUT I WILL!" LOL
Shax: a man whose zen self is still pretty violent, but lovable all the same.
Shax's strength doesn't come meerly from his physics, but also his sheer will to kick the shit out of anyone trying to harm to his fellow crew.

I can't help but wonder if that's PTSD or if Shax has been occasionally just beating up a Pah-Wraith all this time.
The idea of Shax beating the tar out of a Pah-Wraith trying to possess him for years is so great that I now accept it as part of my head canon!

People forget that he died back in season 1 and came back few episodes later after like fighting ghosts or something lol

Shax, the man who punches his PTSD in the face.
Wow this is a startlingly real depiction of PTSD.
Someone give papa bear all the support!!!!!
as usual shaxx has the best part of the episode
also gotta love that everyone looks at his gf instinctivaly
Shax wasn’t lucky enough to have Kai Opaka hug the trauma out of him like Kira was. Instead, he had to learn to do it himself. He’s one of the coolest characters because of scenes like this
Shax is just a reincarnation of Kratos
As a small easter egg, i believe Kira is mentioned as having fought in the same battle depicted here.
😢
This is a good representation of what fighting PTSD is like, for me at least.
Damn. They got DEEP with Shaxs.
He literally punch his inner demons
Absolute legendary! 😎
I've often wondered if Bajorans have some low-level psychic ability.
So he is just a dang Paladin under the Redemption or Ancients oaths.
So thats how shax lost his eye. Enemy bomb.
… This the *Black Mountain* they mentioned before?
No this is Shax having a samurai jack inner turmoil
.....ok i was half expecting him to manifest Sisko to punch the red eyed him
There must have been a Pa wrath in there and part of it ended up in Shax after the blast
Could you upload the scene with Shaxs unknowingly fighting the bugs in this episode please?
Also, during his vision, is that the music where he's telling Rutherford about the Black Mountain?
A: 100th.
B: is this a Bajoren thing or a PTAD thing?
Yes.
wish it really was that easy to fight your demons
Is this a new season?!
Is else anyone getting Batman Arkham knight flashbacks? 😅
it was astral project yourself out of your own body so you could punch the spiritual entity known as a demon

So is this a Pa'ha Warith thing or is it Shax's PTSD?
So a stand
