Yes please, really noticeable in the first few minutes and at the 22min mark. Selected clear voice in the TV settings. However great video as always, enjoying space-nautica play through
It's a shame the devs didn't licence some of the Alien soundtrack it could start 30 seconds after you walk into the mine Jingles would panic so damn fast lol.
Actually Jingles, you can make fabric. You just need to collect fibre from small plants. You literally walked over them in one of the domes. Have a nice time on your vacation in space ...

Also Jingles: Have to find a way to deal with the drones Jingles: I need fabric Also Jingles Jingles: Silver mining is a pain, there's a load fo silver at my base. Also Jingles: What's that... Corridor Mining Tool.. Never Change....
Oh Jingles, our mighty crap overlord, you scanned fabric plants in the second dome next to the Vertical Station, and did your normal of talking whilst scanning and completely missed it and then went on about how little fabric you have.

Not only that, but after he "discovered" it, he did scan it... then proceeded to NOT craft one, and then comment throughout the rest of the video about not having a laser tool. It's just as well he can't hear his viewers screaming in frustration at their screens! To paraphrase the 'Alien' trailer..."In space, Jingles can't hear his viewers scream!" lol

Just Newtons 1st law of motion (an object in motion will stay in motion unless acted on by an outside force) An outside force could be ambient dust from the millenia of asteroids hitting each other, or game devs adding another gameplay element to be mindful of.
Of note on the whole viewership thing, even though I've been subbed a very long time I didn't get a single one of the Indiana Jones videos suggested... didn't even know you had made them. On the other hand, both Astrometica videos came up on the first line of my suggested videos. So I would say a big part of this is the algorithm and not necessarily the games themselves.
Hi Oh great and only Jingles. When you get to the 2nd Bio dome (the one with the underground vault), you will find dotted around the vault entrance loads of 'fibre plants' and using your basic tool you can collect them and convert them into Fabric and thence into medikits. It's one of those games I want to find what's around the next corner. Cheers for your excellent content. You make a terrific distraction to the catastrophe that's going on around us. And in the spirit of the season I shall avoid asking how you are getting on down below. Have very happy New Year and may all the salt miners respectfully moon you. God Bless
There is a lot of gold asteroids near the giant crashed ship. First of all mine some gold to make the laser tool, because that's a life saver (it destroys the drones) and with it you can open the red containers floating in space. In almost all the domed islands there are leafy plants that give you fibers to make fabrics. Soon you will need a lot of nickel that's hard to find, but if you explore behind the Theta-9 base (up and left of the hub station that you partially explored - go back and search for blue crystals, the cave is safe), you will find a field of nickel asteroids. By the way, to get in Theta-9 base you will need a card that's in a escape pod in front of the base. Don't forget to scan the body that's inside the pod. To make the hook tool (I still didn't find a use of this tool), you will need sulphur. There are three containers of sulphur in a yellow dome that is quite far at right of your base. Be careful when you break the containers, because they explode and harm you. In the same dome you will find celestite in some purple... plants, spires (?). You will need a lot of batteries for your mining tool, because those spires are very hard to crack.
I read a lot that "this is just more subnautica". ... If only the devlopers of subnautica realized that that is what we wanted when working on subnautica below zero...
I can certainly see why astrometrica would get the higher number of views as it is like subnautica, which was very successful, as it is somewhat novel while Indiana Jones is pretty old now after all the movies.
A bunch of people you never heard of typically have a bunch of ideas you never heard of, Jingles. In the meantime in a big studio ideas you never heard of typically get shot down right away, because they're too risky.
32:23 Actually Jingles, you can. In some of the domes are plants which you can harvest for Fibre, which you can then craft into fabric. 38:16 Actually Jingles, you can make multiple Iron/Copper Bars in the Fabricator, just press and hold shift while hover over the icon, then stroll up with the mouse wheel. Weirdly it seems to use more power to craft Iron and Copper with the Smelter, though I suspect that'll change later with future updates.
"DANGER!: Do not attempt to open this pod. The creature inside is EXTREMELY hostile. It FEEEEEEDS off the human psyche. Seeking out the _deranged,_ the _unbalanced,_ and the _emotionally cripple..."_ "ROOOOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRR~" *_POLYMORPH_* Calling it now.
There are so many subnautica look alikes coming out. You've got this astrometica and now astrobotanica coming out soon and I'm all for it. Love these sort of games.
I've worked through some unity tutorials that seem to naturally have the same look and feel of Subnautica so the engine might be encouraging some of the similarities. Then if you use the builder survival theme it's going to appear like a clone. Or maybe all the devs have used the same tutorials and based their UI design off the save starting point so they end up with similar results.
Hi Jingles. The reason I watch this but none of the AAA game videos, is that I want to play those myself and don't want to get spoiled. Guess I'am not the only one, so that could explain the views.
Fibrous plants on the ground in one of those twin domes. You also have the blueprint for the laser tool; get it fabbed and open some transport containers. I've also discovered that you can carry items to fab an airlock and just build one in space when you need O2 and save the tanks for exploring inside habitats.
Your first video of this got me to buy the game. Fun do far! You CAN make cloth from fiber obtained from the houseplant looking plants under the domes.
Jings just so you know mate for future episodes. The music is so loud that we can barely hear you. And turning it up to hear you makes the music deafening.
Jingles, talking about snurglies will give the developers of Astometrica bad ideas :P Loving the series, but, I watched and enjoyed your Subnautica series
Well i expected another Indiana Jones video but this is good to, at least we will have chance to see Jingles screw something again, this time in space. Popcorns ready, coke ready, lights out and start. Indiana Jones vids are great, i love gameplay and Jingles funny comentaries, just keep them coming.
I blame the success of the Jingles-in-spaaaaaace! videos on viewers expectations of multiple Jingles' landings and assorted cockups, which Indy-symulator, regrattably, does not allow for. Plus, let's not forget, we may get a space leviathan (or whatever it was called), if we were good children. Cheers!
I know there's a few of your video series I've avoided simply because I watched the first episode, decided it looks good, and skipped the rest so I wouldn't spoil myself.
The Crash Fish are still a pain in Subnautica. I'm streaming my first playthrough at the moment. Some of the design aspects of Astrometica remind me of Planet Crafter.
Eh Jingles, the laser cutter was on the desk in the first room you went into. Anybody else screaming at their screen when the Great Overlord did his very best to miss the big red laser on the desk while saying "anything else here to pick up?" Jingles, never change...but I need to lie down now.
Why does he fly slower after the jetpack have been used? He flies faster while using it, but the moment he stops using it he loses speed? And how can he walk on the floor in the space station? He should be floating. Strange.
I didn't want to say anything in the last video but it sems to me that every time Jingles mines, when the source breaks apart he immediately departs and does not check for remaining bits floating around. 35:49 ish, look at the size of that thing, and the time and energy spent, with a reward of 3 gold? This is obviously why he runs - and does not work in - the mines to which I shall now return.
4:04 -- _that_ is a quartz deposit. You need a deposit miner to mine it, but it offers unlimited resources. As long as you pick them up from the miner every so often. 11:06 -- "hasn't detected anything..." ...except for two pings behind you :D 11:22 -- _that_ is a Nickel node. It even lit up on the scanner when you pinged, but you promptly ignored it and moved on :D 22:10 -- Fungu is pretty common, you can find it in nearly all of the air bubble islands, and moreover, it respawns when you save and reload, so it's fairly easy and mostly unlimited. 27:29 -- there's a log file right ahead of you hidden in the tall grass, almost in the middle of the bubble. 29:10 -- Personally haven't found a solid use case for the hook tool yet that I couldn't otherwise find an alternative to via legging it or jet pack. But I've seen people in youtube videos use it for fast traversal. The problem with it is it requires sulfur su make it, which is pretty hard to find. 29:46 -- the most convenient way to "not get zapped by these buggers" is to zap them first with a laser tool! And if you do that while side-strafing them, you may not even take any damage in the process. 32:08 -- vertical station has some good loot in it (you'll need those zero g regulators later for important late game upgrade), and the top part has a WiP locked door to future content as well inside the asteroid. 32:45 -- oh, Jingles, but it _is._ Look down under your feet the next time you visit one of those domes with lush grass, you might find something useful to collect there :) 33:33 -- not _all_ of the resources. Container contents stay looted, quartz nodules on asteroids do not seem to respawn, and crystal deposits don't either. The nickel/silver/gold deposits on the walls in the mines don't, as well as most of Celestite (but some do!). Also some breakable crates respawn, some don't. 39:55 -- for places where you do manual asteroid mining an _oxygen station_ is a useful building. You can find them scattered around old hub station and some fragments in the roids near vertical station and the first island with a habitat bubble. They look like cylinders with two spikes coming out of them on the opposite ends. I believe you need to scan 3 parts to unlock the blueprint. You can see one of them floating right next to your asteroid mining outpost at around 41:34. 40:41 -- there are a couple more places I know that have gold asteroids. There is also at least one deposit asteroid for infinite gold once you unlock the deposit miner. 42:50 -- you can also access the corridor miner's hopper from inside of the corridor, by the way. Just look up :)
Re views. Indiana Jones is a pretty known quantity and its day one on Gamepass so fairly easy to jump on and try out. While this is something new and unknown. And I'm sure many of us remember the Subnaurica videos so want to see what this is like while pondering getting it in this state. And I guess Indie will be a fairly linear action romp which can be fun, but means less random or unexpected content.
Jingles! I’d recommend you use a side chain compressor on your vocal when you’re recording your commentary to dip the volume of the music only when you’re speaking! It’s easy to set up and would removes any hassles from adjusting the volumes constantly to suit your video!
I'm subscribed to this channel, and this is the first video from you that I've seen in a while that was not WoWS. I didn't know that you had Indiana Jones videos, or even that there was a new Bathesda game out after Starfield. Going to look at your channel to find the Jones videos. ( Currently in Eve, in an asteroid field mining. When you were in the cavern, after you had picked up the mining laser bit, I started hearing sounds of explosions, and what not. "Jingles, why aren't you commenting on the explosions?" ... S[p]it, I'm being attacked! )
Jingles I would hypothesize that there are more like myself who are holding off on watching the Indiana Jones videos to avoid spoilers when we play. This doesn't have that spoiler factor.
Jingles, I don't want spoilers for the Indiana Jones game as the first one teased me just enough that I want to get and play it! Okay, I may go back and watch it later if I get stuck... ...maybe.
Hi Jingles you might want to turn the background music down a bit, its difficult to hear what you're is clearly at some points.
We say this all the time. Same in his wargaming videos. Never changes
That's weird. I've never had an issue.

Particularly noticeable from about 19:50 onwards
"I can't afford to get side-tracked, the... SQUIRREL!"
Or, "I need the laser tool so, stay focu.... Ooh, shiny!"! 😂
I can see why Jingles likes cats! So easily distracted by shiny baubles. I do hope there are no cardboard boxes in this game.
when Jingles got to the Hub Station and it was dark inside. who else was waiting for an Alien to pop out and make Jingles scream like a little girl?
Esp. after he said that you can't have scary crawlies in space like in Subnautica.
It's a shame the devs didn't licence some of the Alien soundtrack it could start 30 seconds after you walk into the mine Jingles would panic so damn fast lol.
Not particularly, as I play Astrometica and know there are no Snurglies in THAT base. Later, we'll see...
Actually Jingles, you can make fabric. You just need to collect fibre from small plants. You literally walked over them in one of the domes.

Maybe it was recorded before the patch, was added with the last one ... just guessing :)
He scanned them. It said fiber. You don't get the recipe until you harvest fiber. He didn't even look at it.

I'm not going to lie. Watching you play a Subnautica type game is the best ASMR/way to relax for me. Ty Jingles! So glad you're off on holiday break 😅
I find it very difficult to believe this ISN'T made by the same devs as Subnautica... it legit looks and plays exactly like it.
This looks shockingly derivative of Subnautica and just feels way less polished to me

32:45 -- oh, Jingles, but it _is._ Look down under your feet the next time you visit one of those domes with lush grass, you might find something useful to collect there :)
33:33 -- not _all_ of the resources.
Good morning Gnome Overlord. All the best.
NO JINGLES YOU CAN MAKE FABRIC
This is giving me serious "no man's sky" vibes
Jingles!
I’d recommend you use a side chain compressor on your vocal when you’re recording your commentary to dip the volume of the music only when you’re speaking! It’s easy to set up and would removes any hassles from adjusting the volumes constantly to suit your video!
When Subnautica is done right it's hard to beat and this one is in space for crap sake .
Fabric can be made from those grass organic material at one of the domes...there was also a datalog you skipped there
Paul! Change the music volume! We can barely hear you!
Have a look at the stable volume setting, it's in the video quality options.
Could it be that the background music is a little too loud compared to your voice?
We say this all the time. Same in his wargaming videos. Never changes
S[p]it, I'm being attacked! )
Careful if your operation gets to big the empire, the imperium or the UNSC will come to "incorporate" your station
Jingeles, you should probably turn down game music a bit and volume up on your voice over.
I cant believe that the devs didnt made it possible to craft fabric from plants :>
Jingles I would hypothesize that there are more like myself who are holding off on watching the Indiana Jones videos to avoid spoilers when we play. This doesn't have that spoiler factor.
The title of this video should've been "Wait, what's that?"
Jingles, I don't want spoilers for the Indiana Jones game as the first one teased me just enough that I want to get and play it!
Okay, I may go back and watch it later if I get stuck...
...maybe.
