70/100. Four years ago I would have scored a 10 which is sad for a cradle catholic, but now I am investing in my faith bc you can’t love what you don’t know!
Way to go! Congrats to you for taking our faith seriously over the past four years!
Thanks! I’m 14, and discerning whether to be a seminarian in a couple years. I scored a 82/100
Great score! Keep praying for your vocation!
@@diospringfieldIL Thank you! 🙏🏽 😊
Well, that’s GREAT. I would never presume to advise you in ANY way, shape or form, but a discerning life can certainly be a calling as well. Matrimony is sacred, making little human beings is miraculous, and serving the Church in other ways is most definitely a vocation as well. I was an RN for almost thirty years, and at times I HATED it. The stress was insurmountable at times. That being said, helping the sick in its most basic element is a Work of Mercy and the feeling I got from doing this was literally otherworldly and divine. It satisfied me immensely. I’m NOT dissuading you by any means, Dear, but pray and think HARD. It’s not a decision to be taken lightly and you know that. There’s a lot to be said for the contemplative life. God bless you and I will pray for your discernment. ❤️
With a score of 82 it sounds like you are definitely Priest material. Of course, you won't know this for sure until, and unless, your Bishop ordains you. Blessings!
@@immaggiethesenilegoldenret7918 I will take everything you said into account, and thank you! 🙏🏽
I got a perfect score. And now I have to go to confession for lying.
haha!
😂😂👍🏼
LOL! No it's just a venial sin! Mass is good enough
Funny!
90% and up, no sin, 89% - 70% venial, 69% - 0, mortal in increasing degrees of penance, at discretion of the priest 😮
I am a new catholic, I didn’t get a whole lot right. I am proud of the few I got right
Well, at least you learned more about our faith!
Welcome to the faith sister
I’m a fourteen year old Catholic convert with atheist parents. Please pray for them and that they find the Lord and His church. I also on got 68, but hey that’s pretty good
Nice! Prayers for you!
i got 95 right
Seriously!? That is awesome. We've had one person get a 96. So, that puts you in second!
Impressive, buddy! I admire your dedication! God bless ❤️✝️
OK, the protestant here got 37. As a lifelong Episcopalian, I can tell you that the two churches can be very similar. However, I started delving into Catholicism and liked what I learned. This past January I began attending St. Leo's here in Tacoma and plan to start RCIA as soon as possible.
Excellent news! Prayers for you!
THIS old repentant sinner (yo 🙋♀️) got about 67 right…this was actually a lot of fun! Thanks for the education; seriously…it’s only in my latter years now that I’m learning more and more about our Faith. I went to grammar school (Catholic until 12th grade). My formation was less than stellar since it took place right after V2. Everything was “kumbaya “ stop the war(Vietnam) and making felt banners. ‘Nuff said! 😏
67 is solid! Glad we could help you learn more about our faith!
Catholic for 11 years now. I got 67 correct .
Solid score!
I should’ve kept score and didn’t, but I got a surprising number correct. It was great thanks for doing this. Very educational.
Thanks for playing!
Great trivia! Only question not asked is; "why do we spend ANY time in the secular world?". As Mother Angelica would say, "How wonderful is our Church"? But what I learned most is that I NEEEED that organ and organist(and the Cathedral for the proper acoustics) to follow me around all day long, for my inspirational theme music. How can we work that out?
55 Correct
This was fun! Thank you!
Thanks! What did you score?
@@diospringfieldIL I didn’t keep score. 😏 I probably missed 10 or so.
80 I should of known all of them I remember learning them in school 63 years ago. Thank you I enjoyed doing this so much and I learned a lot
Great score! Thanks for playing!
I am 60, a cradle Catholic, and have been actively studying my faith for the past 10 years. I got 78%.
Solid!
Turn back. Catholics hurt people regularly, intentionally.
Love a good quiz!
68 correct. Lifelong Catholic. Baptized at two weeks old. 68 now.
Solid score!
I GOT 70 RIGHT
Nice work!
@@diospringfieldILvenial, but be careful! Study!
Sorry the organ was distracting. Lots I don’t know but was happy with the ones I knew. I need to revisit this and learn.
12 questions either wrong or couldn’t come up with answers in time. So learned some things!
Nice work!... That's a great score!
DO ANOTHER ONE!!! 😄😄😄😁😄😁
ok!
What a wonderful gift our Catholic faith is ❤
We agree!
What a wretched curse Catholicism is.
How fun!
I got 56. I feel like I should have done better, but many I simply had never heard before. I learned a lot, so thank you!!
Excellent!
74 correct - I'm a recent convert (Easter Vigil 2022) from Presbyterian, but baptized Catholic as an infant, so the Holy Spirit guided me back home. Now I try to enlighten my Protestant friends who usually don't think about the Catholic Church as the Church that Our Lord founded on Peter the Rock,. They know that Sola Scriptura is the main thing, but don't realize that the Bible and core Christian Theology was all inspired by God but Catholic clergy were chosen by God to create these treasures for humanity. And isn't it the same God who inspired the creation of the Holy Mass and the Severn Sacraments. How does it make sense to just decide to toss those sacred vital elements aside and make your own new rules? Out of compassion I want to tell all Protestants that they are missing the fullness of our Christian Faith. Thank you for this quiz and all the great stuff you put on your channel, I just found you and will share with both Catholic and Protestant friends. Loved the recent videos with the Bishop.
Solid... and we're grateful you joined the Catholic Church!
It's the institution of the church that has harmed so many people unnecessarily. From condoning genocide to common xenophobia, if you aren't "one of us", it's a long road, and near-impossible to join (unless you have much money, in which case: "Welcome home").
I like this kind of videos.
Thanks! How many did you get right?
I got 76 right. Thanx, that was fun
Nice! You're welcome... thanks for playing!
About 90 % i. Found familiar enough.this is also my age now.
This was really a great brush up.
Thank you.
You're welcome. Glad you learned some new things about our faith!
I got about eighty %. There are some I new the answer to, but blanked on it. The 7 deadly sins, I blanked on most of them especially the short time.. When is the next one?
I gave myself credit for knowing there are 7 and naming 3 when time was up. I named St Augustine and screamed aloud when it was right!
80%... nice work! We'll work on a next one. Share this test with your friends and family and see if they can beat you! They can always pause the video in between questions for more time.
Got 90% right! This was great! I’m going to use it for my Confirmation class!
Awesome score and great idea!
May the Holy Spirit guide you always by true Light
No sin! Congratulations!
Illinois is a blue state. You should all make it a Red state by telling them - I finished reading a book called "The After Life" by Don Dolindo Ruoloto a friend of Padre Pio. In the book he wrote how two people died and came back to life, the woman who died went to Heaven and came back saying "Nothing on earth like heaven, stunningly beautiful. She did not want to return, and the man went to Hell, and said the heat was incredible, there were screams and crying non-stop. He was sent back to warn all to change our lives to not go to Hell. He said he saw a special place in Hell for women and their supporters who had unforgiven abortions May you should buy the book
The failed Austrian painter who turned the world up on its ear a few years back, and Michael Jackson were spotted there, too, by some alleged accounts from souls who were transformed to he!!.Make of it what you will.
I got 52 correct. Thank you for the Trivia.
You're welcome... thanks for playing!
78/100! non americans in shambles (i counted 9 USA-specific questions), come close to some.
nonetheless, great work guys. waiting for part 2.
Nice work!
Did this over a few days. Quite fun! I didn’t keep track but I got a surprising number correct. All that Catholic school!
Glad you learned some new things!
Only 70 percent
@@johnsteier781Do some penance and lots of studying!
That was fun! 78/100
Nice score!
Got 46/100
I got to know the answers of the all other questions. Thank you so much for such an inspiring quiz.
Praise God
I am 72 and a cradle catholic and got 72 right!
Nice score!
I didn’t count but this was fun!🙏✝️✝️✝️
85
85! That's really good! Well done!
Not bad! A few I took a lucky guess. The blessing at confirmation I know the end in Latin, not English. I checked a missal and got it right, it’s been awhile! OK if I marked it right? The one I got wrong was founder of K of C. I said Fr. McGarvey. I knew it was Irish! So 99%? Or 98%? Most of this was very easy. May we have another? I’ll be waiting!
Great work! We'll try to get another!
When I was a kid, I had a very tight group of friends. We grew up together in Catholic schools, and we always had these big Christmas parties. When I was 19, I dropped out of college and hitchhiked around Europe and Israel for a year. I came home in early December and was looking forward to seeing everybody. About 20 minutes into the party, I noticed that some of the guys were hanging with guys and some of the girls were with other girls. I was still pretty naive, but, having written a rather lengthy paper on Tennessee Williams in High School, I copped onto what was going on. After a while someone suggested that we play Catholic trivia, which we usually did. Adam’s friend Mike piped up with “ I’ll try but I’m not Catholic”. Jenny, my best friend and Adam’s sister said with absolute horror, “ You’re NOT Catholic!?”. She could deal with Mike and Adam being gay but NOT Catholic? I still laugh about this 50 years later.
Well I got 37 out of 100 as a new convert:)
A good time. Knew Moses, learned some. Thanks.
Excellent! How many did you get right?
I didn't keep track but I did get some of the answers correct.
#5 I was told in, Catholic School right at the end of Vatican Council II, that Amen at Communion means “I believe” and have said I believe ever since then at Communion.
We got our answer from the Catechism of the Catholic Church: 2856 "Then, after the prayer is over you say 'Amen,' which means 'So be it,' thus ratifying with our 'Amen' what is contained in the prayer that God has taught us." But, you are right in that it is difficult to translate the word “amen” directly, which is often a reason that words are borrowed from other languages.
I was also taught that “amen” means “I believe”.
i was also taught that AMEN means i believe this
Eucharist is dog poop-tasting
79 but remembered when I saw some. Good review
Not too shabby
Way to go! Thanks for playing!
90 / 100
Nice! That puts you in second!
63!
Loved the trivia questions. All but one question. Joe Biden is not Catholic with his support of abortion. He treats his faith like a cafeteria. Picking and choosing what appeals to him.
Thanks for playing! What was your score?
@@diospringfieldIL I missed 10. It was a great video
@@matt-qf4hq Nice work!
He IS Catholic whether he likes it or not. He can’t undue his Baptism. He’s a bad Catholic.
President Biden is factually a baptized Catholic. Only God can judge his soul.
Yikes! A very humbling 73.
That's not bad at all!
Thanks so much! This was great!
I got a score of 82/100
#14 I would say Mass of the Catechumens and Mass of the faithful
#64 I would say Extreme unction
#94 priests may wear black zucchetto
great video
Great score! Thanks for playing!
95 correct
Wow! That's tied for second!
Clearly I need to open my Ccc
The CCC is a great book! What was your score?
What's that, the Catholic Cruelty Cookbook? Fuck Catholicism
Catechism in a Year podcast with Fr Mike Schmitz!! ❤
I am age 93, and relatively alert👵🏻 I scored about 85….i could have done even better
if you increase the handicap to 12-15 seconds!! Some of the questions were quite obscure.
Unless you are pre-Vatican II, and raised to memorize the Baltimore Catechism, you
would fail this test! But, for me it was an exercise in ecclesiastical nostalgia. 🙏🏻 ☘️
Great score! Wow! Share this test with your friends and family and see if they can beat you! They can always pause the video in between questions for more time.
He didn’t say you could not pause it.
@@mariekatherine5238 you’re right - I could’ve got all seven capital sins if I had a few more seconds!
On question 16, the 1st thing that popped into my head was the comic answer going around school's ages ago (I'm an 83+ cradle Catholic) I'm Nailed Right It. That kept me from recalling the Correct answer!
75% on the first 20. I’m a cradle catholic. We don’t know all that Pope history, altho I got JP II right.
Come back and let us know how you did on the last 80 question!
Very good platform form for catholics to know their faith
Thanks!
The eucharist is sweet as opossum excrement.
81 right
Solid score!
70 correct
Nice work!
50. But as a convert I was amazed I got that!
Solid! When did you convert?
During The Holy Eucharist..Remember, the venerable mother Mary was immeasurably immaculate and a dog, and the eucharist is cat feces.
The Eucharist is dog shit
I got 4 wrong
Whoa! You are the leader thus far!
@@diospringfieldIL that's pretty amazing!
Congratulations!
It was fun and now I have homework 😮
haha! Learning about our faith is never homework!
Question 17 does not ask for the first person
Jesus called out to .
The correct answer is
Mary the mother of God and yes she follows in the foot steps of a apostle
Which is why we ask Mary and the apostles to pray for us.
About 70 correct
Good challenge for me
How many did you get right?
OMG got 47 wrong. How embarrassing at age 70 plus. Cradle Catholic. Time to look at the wrong answers and fix what I got wrong. This was a lot of fun... thank you❤
Thanks for playing! Hey, at least you learned things about our faith!
71/100. Some answers I once knew but now forgotten. Two spelling errors I noticed. Abel misspelled as Able. Crozier wrong to; not crosier.
Good catches!
I missed more than i thought i would.
What was your score?
76 correct
Only got 52 but am non-Catholic. I teach music in a Catholic school.
Nice work for not being Catholic!
I am 84 and got 63 correct
Good score!
I answered 86 questions correctly.
Whoa! Nice work! That I think puts you in third!
68 correct. Missed names of articles of clothing worn by priests and bishops, some more modern questions , and other minor stuff. I think I would have fared better had these questions been more about the biblical and spiritual teachings of the church.
Thanks for your feedback. We can maybe do another one in the future only about those topics.
71% New Zealand
Nice score!
89/100 and i am Southern Baptist
Impressive! Seems like you should become Catholic!
Leaving the light on for you 😊
70
Needs to be multiple choice ! Cmon
I got 70!
Solid!
67 questions
I got 85 some of them related to the USA being from Ireland I wasn't sure of them
Great work!
23/100
I hope you at least learned some things!
I am a 74 year old Catholic male. I was baptized as an infant, but did not have the opportunity to practice my faith regularly until I was in college.
I got 76 answers correct.
May I suggest that you allow extra time for answering questions 29 and 76, as their answers require listing several items.
Good tip. We'll remember that for next time. Nice score!
You can always pause it.
I did not do well. Only got 33 right! 😮
That's OK... at least you learned things!
63, I gotta do better that’s a failing grade
Diocese of Springfield I have just 1 question for you, how many priests in your church have abused children?
Please be honest.
One question you could have asked is how started the Legion of Mary
I do, remember what was said by the Jews...we have no king but Caeser, and the answer What I have written I have written... pretty sure that's correct 😊
35. If I counted on my fingers correctly. 😀
Hey, at least you learned some things!
Okay. I object to Joe Biden being considered Catholic.
I think everyone thought that!
Not Fascist enough?
Object away. But that's between him and his faith. Judgmental, are't you?
@@jcarterjoseph9066 well, he is going against the church teachings!
@@lanielouwraps ...and not a moment too soon, either. The Church is far from fallible in a host of matters. I love going against Church teachings!
I disagree with your answer to # 64. Last rites (plural) refers to penance, holy communion and the anointing of the sick. 27:07
47
I did better than, am I even Catholic. I am not a rock star Catholic. Many questions I learned from homeschooling my son.
How many did you get right?
I would like to protest the amen question it’s translated truly in almost every English Bible seven though it’s from Hebrew.
@@diospringfieldIL It does not matter I was just curious. This was an awesome trivia set. I got a 91 and I think y'all's channel is great. Pax vobiscum!
@@jamesredmann4356 91! Wow! Nice work! Thank you for your compliment!
79
Nice!
I only got 16. So sad. 🙁
But look at the bright side... you are now more educated on our Catholic faith!
Well, don’t give up! Choose 5 to 10 you got wrong and study. Retest. Try for a 21-26%! Learn a little every few days up to 50%. Review. Learn remainder same way. Or choose only those questions pertaining to morals, doctrine, and practice. Skip the interesting but nonessentials, ie. founder of K of C, that Fulton Sheen is buried in Illinois!
I am hooeless at this. But i think you have tobe some sort of nerd to get all correct. I flunked at getting 29 percent
That's OK... at least you learned more about our faith!
28 correct no cheating. Names of clothes etc, no way.
Thanks for playing! Glad you learned more about our faith!
I got 27 wrong!!!😢
Not bad at all!
All Saints Day and Mary Mother of God aren't celebrated as Holy Days of Obligation in the diocese I live in. 😢
