  • Masters 2023 is almost upon us!
To mark the occasion Stephen sat down with the legend that is Ken Doherty, to chat all things Masters. The pair traded stories on memories from years gone by and also filled in their Masters wall charts to decide, whilst debating, who they thought would take the crown this year. This episode is filled with so many laughs and also some incredible insight into the tournament and the players taking part this year. Massive thanks to Ken for coming to spend some time with us to film this. Do let us know in the comments who you think will win and if you agree with Ken or Stephen. This is a longer video from what we've done so far, but it really is must watch before the tournament gets going. So get yourself a drink, sit back and enjoy!
Subscribe to the channel for weekly snooker content, we have plenty more videos to come!

Ken is an incredible snooker player and a great snooker commentator too , his knowledge about the game is insane , the way he predicts some shots and its outcome before even the shot is played are insanely accurate. He also has a great voice that any sport commentator needs to have , great to see him on the channel.

Yes chaps! what a good crack this was. Just great to hang out with you both online and watch along to this video. Stephen, off the back of your videos, it has really brought back some memories of your classic matches and I have delved into the youtube archives to find them. Watching a prime Hendry is just awesome, it really is.
You brought an entirely different brand of snooker to the game and those playing the older and more traditional style just couldn't compete. Your game trumped theirs and they had to change to be able to compete on your level. I really believe you can get back to a pretty competitive level. IMO what would really help your cause even more is to try to get down to the weight you were when you won many of your titles becaue that is the basis on which you programmed your neuromuscular pathways to perform and they all have memory. All the very best to you.

Living in Dublin at the time, one day I walked up to Kildare St to meet my wife and walk with her home from work. It was a Friday and just a few days after watching KD win his world championship in 1997.
I was just waiting for a chance to get through the traffic and cross the road when I spotted Ken walking up the street on the other side. I ran straight out in front of traffic without thinking, waving and shouting "Ken Ken". Across in front of buses, cars, vans, the lot. Nearly caused a pile up in the centre of Dublin. 😂😂😂
I've met him a few times. He's a gentleman and always has time for snooker fans.

I had to check if I'd accidentally sped up the playback speed when Jimmy was playing, Jimmy is so fast! Also, I guess your picks for the Masters shows how hard it is to predict a result out of any match.. Mark Allen was one of Ken's favourites to win the competition and he was knocked out in the first round without scoring a frame.

I think your show is a breath of fresh air, and it's a privilege for a Legend of the Game (arguably the G.O.A.T) like you doing something like this. I have one request though, perhaps you could add some short video footage when discussing yesteryear games or when you are teaching us of something, or even when u mention some yesteryear guys like James Wattana or Jimmy White (who some of us never watched play). It would be awesome for us to be able to put a face to the person or to have a video example of what you will be teaching us (eg cue shots and examples of how different people play) or previous games (eg if u are talking about a re-spotted black in 1999 vs Mark Williams lol). I hope u can help with any of these u can. It helps with viewer interaction, especially for non pros who enjoy the sport like me. Oh, and 1 more thing u could possibly add, written text of questions u are answering, stats u are mentioning at that time, etc
