Thank you. I couldn’t figure how to use my external mic with with SS headset so I set them up as generic headphones. Will need to give sonar a shot again
When you are connected directly with headphones to the Maono microphone to listen to the sibling in real time, my question is this: if you use sonar and apply a preset such as deep voice, do you have a delay in listening on the headphones connected to the microphone?
12:57 If I use Steelseries Sonar Microphone instead of my XLR mic itself - there is a much more noticeable latency after I say something, than if I was using my mic directly. Are there any ways to reduce Steeleseries Sonar Mic latency?
Is there any way to use this with steam labs and use the mix but also separate the audio channels (so I can delete audio from games such as teammate mic etc) or will it just double the audio on stream labs and echo?
So I was curious Can I use this software to record our podcast (3 USB mics : elgato Wave3 & 2 Razer Siren x's and audacity) if so what else would I need to do aside from your amazing tips you provided thanks!
@@TheProvokedPrawn all good brother I really respect your work and appreciate it and that's a small price to pay for a wealth of knowledge.and I'm sorry I'm bombarding with question but I just started streaming and I need a xlr interface the works good with my shure mv7 plus and something the I can control the volume without having to alt out of the game and going into like sonar but I can't seem to find anything
Is there a way to permanently disable the other output and input options. I use a different mic, and when adjusting settings, i find the software keeps enabling itself and defaulting to use it. Also love your videos!!!
Great video. Easy to follow along with and set things up. I have been using SS for a while and have been struggling getting good sound on my streams the past few months. Not sure if an update messed up my settings but will be following this tutorial to see if I can get everything in balance once again. ❓Quick question. You did not use your SS Mic setup for your OBS setting? Reasoning behind that?
Hello, I'm a bit confused. I use steelseries arena 9 speakers and I need to make two settings. My speakers are connected via usb, where sonar gg detected the gaming output itself. I need to set it in sonar gg so that games are output as sonar sets itself, but the second important thing for me is the Media setting. I like listening to music, but if sonar detects the output, it automatically sets hires 24 bit but up to 96Kh, which is bad for music because 48Kh is just right for music and 96Kh will degrade the music more. The problem is that I can't change these frequencies for music. Neither in sonar nor in windows as output. How do I set sonar gg to have automatic settings when playing music through winamp but in 24 bit and 48Hz quality? Can the Game setting be 8 channels and 96Hz as sonar set itself?
Hey, i love your videos and you guided me a lot for full setup of steelseries. I have a question about sonar presets. I'm currently using Arena 9 and Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for sound. Can presets automatically change when the back-up device changed? i couldnt manage the presets, i needed to change everytime when i turn on the headset, then after i turned off the headset i should go back to my speakers preset.
I'm not sure why but whenever I route absolutely anything to media or game it will not work. However, everything will work if I route it all to chat. Currently my output is steel series sonar gaming and my input is steel series sonar microphone. As for my defaults SS-Gaming is my default device and SS-chat is my default communications device. If anyone knows any sort of fix I would appreciate it.
Can i still use Sonar mic EQ and noise cancellation with an XLR mic plugged to behringer interface? I don't have noice cancellation build into this interface and i'm thhinking about using sonar.
I dont understand why one cant size it smaller to fit on my secondary vertical monitor. It's such a pet peeve. Other than that it's a great app, but uninstalled cuz of that one issue. OCD.
i find sonar buggy AF. Ive deleted it from my system now. Time and time again the virtual audio drivers just don't work, or work for a while then just stop with no changes to my system. I now just go into my sound settings and just select Arctis Nova 7x. Hideous software
do you know how to fix the loading issue with steelseries doesn't want to load at all ? and not the only person that is having this issues there's hundreds of people having this issue and the support Guide on the website does not help and I contact support 2 months ago and they still yet to get back to me through Gmail
The absolute best virtual surround in this app. So much better than dolby atmos and others.
It's very versatile

It’s ironic as I came to your channel for something else and needed this too to get the most out of my headset 😊
Not sure what the other thing was but hoped this helped
Finally, I got the answers I needed. Works and sounds great now. Goodbye nvidia broadcast.
It is great isn't it.
@TheProvokedPrawn yes, so much

not that I've encountered tbh

Thanks for the suggestion and for joining, I didn't expect that, this video is set to go live to the public later.

@@Eldon.308 Elgato Wave XLR? Combine it with a stream deck for those controls? Or Rodecaster Duo?
@@TheProvokedPrawn i have the streamdeck plus and I've been thinking about the new xlr dock
Awesome vid!
Great walk through.
Very kind

Love the shirt. It's always good advice.
I've been re-reading Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy with my son. It's still great.

I'm afraid I don't have the answer to that. I've not tried switching between speakers and headsets
Bro meeds to become a ASMR RUclipsr with that glorious voice,or voice nature documentaries
Will Sonar load profiles per game or do you need to pick manually?
It's meant to I believe but I've not dabbled in that properly

Do you have settings for fps games such as call of duty? I have the same nova pro but the sound too much loud
are you using windows 11? for some reason i cant see sonar routed apps with 11
Yes windows 11
Bro with a voice like that you can get by with just cups on strings.
Your the last person that needs to spend money on making ya voice smooth 😁
haha
I'm sorry i know I'm late but is there a particular reason my sonar wont pick up my discord audio on stream? also thank you so much for the help!

I've not used that particular thing but sonar works with basically everything
Can you control the slider on sonar from the rode duo?
I don't think so. You'd just be controlling the hardware inputs. It would impact the volume still but not change virtual settings in Sonar.
I dont understand why one cant size it smaller to fit on my secondary vertical monitor. It's such a pet peeve. Other than that it's a great app, but uninstalled cuz of that one issue. OCD.
Can I stream live from the mobile through this device؟
I updated in microcode 0x125, do I need to really update 0x129?
What if i have the wired version not wireless of the nova pro
That's fine. You can use any headset, just select it in the drop downs in Sonar.

How do I know my headsets connected to the sonar
You should see it in the options
Can you give us your Preset please?
I’ve heard sonar add high latency to the Audio. Anyone?
I have not experienced such a thing
