I like how many creators now made changes to how they sound according to where their character is, Echoes in caves and muffled when underwater.

Dang, I hope it gets a chapter 2 where we can kill many mini Charles that slowly gets stronger as we progress the game. And with the success this game had, I'm sure their budget will increase thus more improvements to the game itself.
Edit: I discovered a while that only one person made this, I'm saying this so no more comment address this.
They should give the player a handgun or at least a meele weapon for the walking sections. A shovel maybe?

I don't know if anyone already commented on this but, if you noticed, at the end when the bridges explode, when charles is in mid air, you can see his expression changing tha may indicate that he has feelings. I find it as a nice detail the dev added.

Someone who's scared of tiny spiders, watched Pennywise 1 and 2 at 3 am and got traumatized by someguy making Thomas scary. He may have a heart attack but it'll be hilarious
IGP is like your typical horror movie protagonist. Starting off scared of his own shadow and screaming and everything that moves, slowly upgrading his weapons and abilities and at the end he's like bring on the f****** world I can take it. That's the reason I love this channel so much :-)

What if the mask guys aren't actually cultists, but the masks are actually made from the other Charles' faces and by wearing them, Charles doesn't attack them unless he goes Hell mode. To coexist peacefully with Charles is just a matter of wearing the masks and keep him placated while ensuring that the eggs are left undisturbed.

Makes sense. Pretty much as soon as I learned about the cultists I thought “hey I doubt that they really worship a spider train that is trying to kill them, maybe they are hiding the eggs and wear the masks for a different reason” and then later on it turns out that reason is that the spider train turns into a spider train from hell

Everything about that final battle was phenomenal! From the horror that is Charles, to the music, to the pacing, to IGP somehow managing to do everything.
I mostly agree but i think it is a bit to short
Just for immersion, I love that IGP changes the way his voice sounds depending on the environment. I wish more creators would do that

Another youtuber called Fooster does the same thing. He has his voice echo when he's in large spaces, adds a radio sound effect when he's playing multiplayer and is far away from his friend, adds in music to when he drives cars and muffles it when he gets out.
The fact that one person made this, compared to multi billion dollar companies with hundreds of employees, is outstanding and I do hope there's a second game coming.

Man, for a meme game, that was one intense boss fight. The devs really put the effort where it counts most. The NPCs and whatnot weren't anything to write home about, but the face-offs against Charles were memorable, and they managed to make the sound of a distant train whistle become a threatening omen. Neat game; thanks for sharing your playthrough!
I'm happy to see that the game is getting such a positive reception. The work of a single guy who documented his entire progress throughout his youtube channel, who showed us his struggles, his challenges, and now the game is receiving a good amount of praises and love. A simple and fun little game.

That is one the most insane ending boss fights I’ve ever seen
I absolutely love all the details in the editing. The game is so insane, especially when you think about the fact that its made by one person, I know the creator said he's not planing on working on it anytime soon but I still really hope that we'll get some future content of this
This game has guns, yet the raging fear of dying still remains inside you. This is incredible.
i can never get over igp changing his mic to become echoed when entering mines, large room, etc. it just makes the emersion and over all feel so cool
For the lore of Charles' name, I like to imagine that somebody saw a spider train and tried to warn everybody, but this one jerk said, "Sure, John, there's an 'evil spider train,' bet it's called something really sinister like... Charles! Pffft! Hahahaha! Man, get the fuck out of here, John." And then, like a day later that jerk is running through town screaming, "It's real! Charles is real!" At least that's my head cannon.

Imagine this game moving on a huge open world, because the eggs would hadge. I'd love to see it as an RPG, moving from train to train.
Concept like OG 2d Earn to Die with dark souls elements.
It's just one of ideas that will never happen, just because how hard it would have to be managed. But seeing a cave full of eggs makes me feel like there could be part II.

You need to play more games my guy. I mean…. Have you played a Dead Space? Not even the best example, but objectively better then this, and this game isn’t even bad. That should tell you you’re missing a lot of great games

Throughout the whole boss fight and ending, I was just imagining Warren's body inside of the train. Plus the impaling and such.

the added detail of when you enter the mines and your voice echos just seems so good so props to IGP's editor or IGP

It's just the small things that makes these videos so good. By just adding the ambience of the echoing cave I feel so much more interested and involved in the game.

Loved it, but Imagine instead when you kill charles at the end you're inside your train, as you celebrate your body starts growing in size and new arms come from the rib cage and you start filling up the space inside, you become the next choo-choo charles.

I would love a sequel where you’re just going around the world after an invasion just shooting and killing a million tiny Charles’ and you get to a final boss.
While I kept hitting Charles, I just kept using the rocket and Bob but it was hell. Also Charle's theme is so enjoyable even if you're near death.
That game is pretty dope man. It’s entirely unique and is almost like a B rated slap stick horror game! Definitely enjoyed watching this and a lot of your other videos IGP. Keep the content coming brother!

I wish the red paint made the train go faster, and the purple made Charles chase you less often. Nice little reference. Maybe an achievement called "Three Times as Fast" for a Mobile Suit Gundam reference (Char's Zaku II was supposedly three times as fast as a normal Zaku II, but in reality it was around 30% faster due to customizing and fine tuning the thrusters).
This should definitely get a new game+ feature and co-op

I like how immersive his voice sounds, such as echoing in the caves. also, charles feels like bendy from BATIM. a recurring enemy that's probably the most menacing, is smiling, gets summoned at the end and mutates for the final boss

Choo choo charles(well the normal version)seems like an instance of SCP i forgot its number but its when inanimate objects or dead creatures(rarely) grow spider legs and kill everyone around them

Yeah, your end commend says what I was thinking as you were fighting Charles. It didn't seem like a huge deal. The cinematics were awesome, but could have also just relaxed, firing the occasional bomb shell... 😅

This was a super cool game to watch. It would have been really cool if the dead Charles just twitched ya know? It would set up suspense as if the eggs power just healed him death just enough to revive him to go to a new vessel
