San Juan Board Game Review - Still Worth It?

Join us as we take a look at the engine building card game San Juan published by Ravensburger.

I love that the Polish second edition of San Juan comes in a tiny box (even smaller than the original Jaipur). It makes for a great travel game.

I agree, San Juan is still relevant those years when you don’t want to digest Race and you like Puerto. However, the dragging and frustration that could come along with it limits the number of straight games we want to play. Like one game is enough as a longish filler.

Still play this regularly. Way easier than Race for the Galaxy, plus really don't do space themed stuff. Thats for super nerdy geeks only. I just like to play reasonably easy games.

I have tried this one and really liked the gameplay, but the theme is as exciting as a tory party conference and the artwork looks like its from those 1980s Bibliobus books from school. Good game, but looks wank.

Still worth it? No, because Race for the Galaxy exists. All you need to do is learn an entire new language of symbols and you're good to go!
