    This was a brilliant show. The first time I saw what star wars could/should become. I've loved star wars since I was 5. This is the best stuff since empire strikes back!!

    I don't know if I will ever understand how Andor was made and was able to do its own thing. I really love everything about the show. Luther my favorite new Star Wars character. The rest of the cast is awesome as well. Its easily the best live action Star Wars show. Its top notch Star Wars content. Right up there with the original movies, KOTOR, and Clones Wars series.
    Will watch any video giving this show its much deserve praise in support.

      I think this gem flew under KK’s radar. The very fact that it had no major characters from other shows/movies meant the evil overlords paid it less attention. I’m actually glad the show only has 2 seasons, because it means the 2nd season will likely also be brilliant. If it continued too long, they wouldn’t be able to continuously beat back the people ruining the rest of Star Wars.

    It's a VERY good sign when the only real criticism I can give of the show is that some of tbe connective tissue between the plotting could be stronger. Literally everything else in the show is done masterfully, and truly puts the rest of DSW to shame

      100% agree. The best way I can explain it is it doesn't feel so "clean", or "curated". It's rough, dirty, and I appreciate that aesthetic. It feels more Star Wars that what we're seeing now

      I was blessed and cursed with seeing so many fantastic films and media, that when watching new material, it's a high bar to pass. Andor gets this rating for its pacing, and whatever few issues I can find. For reference, Arcane gets an 8/10, The Matrix gets a 9-9.5/10, and the closest thing to a 10/10 from me is the Fellowship of the Ring. Although I don't give anything an actual 10/10 because nothing is truly perfect. However, the LOTR Trilogy is the closest thing I've seen to be a 10/10

      Rogue One was a fun film for me, however the most memorable moments for anyone I've talked to (myself included) is the final 30 - 45 mins. The beginning does get jumbled in memory, and I'm sure there's plot issues, but I still think it's a fine addition to the Star Wars universe

      I'd be more interested in what television, not movies, you'd rate 8 or higher.
      For me Andor is at a production level vying for the singular greatest achievement on its technical fronts in all television, it looks and feels as good or better than the main saga movies. And it's no slouch in everything from acting to writing. In fact that is also all well within the range of all the greats. So I'm really curious.

    • @actionbros.gaming5694
      @actionbros.gaming5694  Год назад +1

      I'd say the first 4 seasons of Game of Thrones could easily get an 9/10 for me. The writing for the characters, world building, the arcs and overall deep storytelling kept me binging the show, and I'm normally not one to do that 😄

    In regular Star Wars, the Empire is filled with mean, uncaring but also incompetent doofuses who overcome their lack of smarts and cunning with an overwhelming advantage in equipment and numbers. Everybody hates them but is too scared to take them on or making too much money to rock the boat. The rebels, once they discover each other, all like and trust one another immediately. In Andor, regular people have to live their regular lives - go to work and earn money the best they can to feed their families and scratch out a life as best they can. They put up with the authoritarian government and the constant indignities because they can't do anything about it and what would they do, anyway? Like in any country on earth right now. Even when people get pushed over the line they didn't know was there and now they've decided that they will push back, no one trusts anyone else - ever. And with good reason. Overcoming the characters' internal conflicts as well as trusting those around them well enough to risk their lives makes for interesting storytelling. Nemek's manifesto is the soundtrack of Andor's awakening.

    This show deserved so much more attention. My favorite Star Wars content since the Original trilogy. Disney’s failure is best illustrated in the fact that this show got little attention and many called it “slow.” Disney has made people think that Star Wars is (or even *should* be) empty flashy action. That it should be cheap thrill. This disappoints me so much. Personally I give Andor a 9. I never found it slow. I drank up the atmosphere, the tension, the planning and plotting. I was so happy to see Star Wars taken so seriously, and seen from the perspective of ordinary people.

    Thank you for acknowledging the difference between personally liking something (the prequels) versus whether they're actually good movies (they're not). I respect that as opposed to the apologists who insist they're good movies instead of just admitting that they like them despite the badly told stories and a of lack compelling characters.

    I think Syril is interesting but Dedra is far more interesting and one that you root for in the beginning. Syril is a troublemaker in his orgaization. He's the guy that is shouting that more needs to be done but goes in the wrong way about it because he doesn't lead or inspire those under him. He's just bringing everyone along with him begrudgingly. Dedra on the other hand has proven her abilities to her superiors and is given the time and authority to carry out her plans. I never once rooted for Syril Karn. The the series is incredible and Rogue One is by far the best SW movie that Disney has done. It's an awesome war film.

      In my opinion, after a sequel trilogy that was abysmal, the laughing stock of Book of Boba Fett and Obi Wan Kenobi, and on top of that this show being about a side character from a spinoff movie, I think there're plenty of reasons why star wars fans didn't tune in. Hell, I didn't until somebody recommended it to me. Believe me I was pleasantly surprised to see it's quality
