I'm currently reorganizing my studio for a new workflow, and I came up with this homage to 80s instrumental synth ballads.
The bulk of the sound is coming from the Roland SH-4d (all four parts and drums) driven by Ableton Live 11 using the Push 2. The lead line is produced by the CP sound on the Yamaha Reface CP using the Eventide H9 (ShimmerVerb algorithm) as an insert effect. I also enabled the tremolo, chorus, and delay on the Reface CP.
The stereo mix was recorded into Ableton, and then mastered in Logic Pro using Izotope's Ozone 11.
The Roland SP-404 mkII can be seen in the video, but I ended up just using it for eye candy.

This is very cool! Everything works flawlessly with each other. I still have the SH-4d on my list of things to buy this year.
Thank you. I’ve enjoyed working with my SH-4d. It can be great depending on your tolerance for its workflow for saving your work and your particular use case for the device.
@@lectronin yeah, I had seen that the saving was the one thing that wasn’t the best, that and lack of song mode for chaining sequences. I still think it would be a really good fit for me though.
Beautiful.
Thank you!
Well done.
Thank you.
Nice sounds and cool video!
Thank you very much!
