    Good advice but way too fast for me to keep up....had to watch a few times...I’d love a print out. At 68, I’m ‘old school’. However, your video has shown me that the Samsung A53 is excellent quality for price. I’d read some reviews and the camera features were highly praised. I was going to purchase a Samsung for more than double the price so am very pleased with A53.

    Great video; it was very helpful. However, I am still trying to figure out how to zoom in AND FOCUS on something that's a bit further away than the stuff in your video. Like maybe 15-20 feet away.

    • @kalipeztech
      @kalipeztech  2 года назад +3

      To zoom in pinch the screen in an outward motion. To focus, tap on whatever you're trying to focus on. Sometimes the phone doesn't like to focus if the thing you're trying to focus on is either super far or blends into the background so you might have to tap a few times until it looks right.

    I have a question, how do I keep the camera from going to landscape mode when I turn it even when I have it set to portrait on the homescreen? It's driving me crazy. Also I bought this discounted as an "open box" so I'm not sure if that's why but when I take pictures or videos with the front facing camera I get a glare? Is there any way I can fix that in the settings or does it just have a scratched lense or something?

    • @wallydolly8146
      @wallydolly8146 Год назад +1

      If your phone is in a case…the glare could be caused by the case. I suggest you try taking some photos with the phone case and see what happens.

    Were is the Histogram? Can't find it anywhere. I saw that it has focus peaking in manual mode which surprised me also I noticed you can't adjust any color contrast settings in 4k??? Only in 1080p in pro video mode. Nice phone but it seems like they crippled it in some aspects. So one has to pay 600 dollars for a histogram? Lol

    • @kalipeztech

      When you're actually taking the pics the angle and lighting are probably the most important factors. I would suggest watching some videos on lighting for photography, there are some people on RUclips who know a lot more than me about that specific topic, but if you can get the lighting down your pictures will be 10x better. The portrait mode with this phone is also really good so I would try to use that when you can. In my photo process, no matter what phone I use, I also make sure to edit them. I personally use Affinity Photo, but if you want a mobile app for editing I suggest Polarr. Either way both are pretty cheap. But if you don't want to edit things after the fact, you can also use filters when you're taking photos. Usually when it comes to editing/image enhancement the main things I do is enhance the colors and make the image look warmer. My iPhone I usually use to take pictures has it set to do this by default, and this phone can actually do something similar. In your camera app on the top right of the screen there should be a little magic wand icon. If you tap on that it will open the filters, and for you the one I would recommend using is called "warm," and I'd say use it at 7 or 8 strength. That should make your pictures look a lot more vibrant and pleasant.
      Hope this helps!

    I'm currently using a Moto g stylus 2021 and wondering if this phone would be an upgrade?
    Your videos are so great.

    • @kalipeztech
      @kalipeztech  Год назад +1

      Hi,
      Thank you! I appreciate that.
      Coming from a Moto G Stylus 2021, do you mean the 5G version? Either way the A53 will be a solid upgrade in *almost* every way. Two things to consider though: First of all, do you like having a really large display? Because although the A53 5G (by my standards at least) doesn't have a SMALL display, the Stylus is significantly bigger so if that's important to you it might not be the best switch. Although keep in mind with the display the A53 5G has a much, much higher quality image so that might make it more worth it especially if you're watching videos a lot. The other thing is the stylus, I don't know how often people actually use styluses because personally I never even take it out of the phone, but I don't think there's any aftermarket stylus for the A53 5G either, so that's another thing to think about.
      Overall if you want a huge phone with a stylus, I'd suggest considering the 2022 version of the Moto G Stylus 5G instead, but if you don't mind not having a stylus and you're fine with having a slightly smaller display in favor of better image quality, I'd say this phone would be a great upgrade!
      I actually have a full comparison between the two here on the channel if you want to know more: ruclips.net/video/KyLNMuQo-Mk/видео.html

    I'm enjoying this new phone very much but I haven't figured out how to power it off.

    • @kalipeztech
      @kalipeztech  Год назад +1

      Oh yeah holding down the power key opens Bixby doesn’t it 😂 that’s the worst
      So the easiest way to turn it off is by swiping down twice from the very top of your screen and in the top right corner from there, in between a search icon and the settings there will be a power icon. Tap on the power icon and it will take you to the power menu where you can shut it down

    • @kalipeztech
      @kalipeztech  Год назад +1

      Alternatively, if you never use Bixby and you want that side key to actually open the power menu when you hold it, you can change this by going to your settings menu, scroll down to advanced features, from that menu go to the tab where it says “side key,” and from there you’ll see a section that says “press and hold” and by default it’s set to “wake Bixby” but you can change it to “power off menu” and then pressing and holding the power button or side key or whatever you wanna call it will open the power menu instead
