They do say you can't go back....But that album and tour DID work. I saw them live and a lot of the old vibe was still there....The subsequent giveaway music didn't.....And I guess he's still finding his feet with the new band.....He's STILL one of the greats no matter what some folk say though.
when the head is not prepared for success that's what happens, d'arcy and chamberlain couldn't handle it and thats why they broke up. i am very thankfull they did not ended and that billy continue to put that genius of his into work and bring some of the best music that i've ever heard!!
surely they aren't the same that some years ago ( also if i think that SP's best line up was: Corgan- Iha- Auf Der Maur- Chamberlain and not with D'arcy), but i saw 'em live in November in Milan and they're still great....at the end they have the same great musicians and Corgan plays as God as early years
I wouldnt fret about the line up changes.William Corgan will get the band he needs. The new drummer is incredible just gotta let him spread his wings on the next album.
"also if i think that SP's best line up was: Corgan- Iha- Auf Der Maur- Chamberlain and not with D'arcy" - Have they even recorded one single song with Auf der Maur on bass? - I don't think so...
This song brings up so many memories, so much desire, so much hope
he looked so much better thin and shaved...
I love Chamberlin's jazz chops.
That guitar solo is *AMAZING* the sound
It could be better, with James Iha, Immaculate
Jimmy, the talented drummer ever! Just he could do the Pumpkins!!!
my favorite of all time
...so many tears...
Jimmy is a monster... a monster... man makes it look so damn easy...
10/15/2021 After more than 20 years still gave me chills!
Hell yeah!
Me too,buddy
Great song, vocals and guitar!
11 years ago someone didn’t also mention one of the best drum performances on a track ever 😭
Faster version of this song that i've seen
The BEST version, performance in live
great song
Ginger Reyes. She was in the band from 2007 to 2010.
I love her
insane show.
One of the best bands of my generation! Fact!!
Billy is a genius along with Prince. Gregg Alexander from New Radicals as well.
I love Ginger so much 😍😍😍 and Lisa!!!!
Oh, Ginger. *swoons*
Podiam ter sido uma das melhores bandas de sempre.
best SP bassist ... cool as ice ........ dudes
GINGER IS SO COOL!!
Is that the girl
Allen Cooke yep
I think Auf der Maur played bass on a couple of tracks on Machina ll....but isn't credited. She definitely played bass on ROCK ON tho and is credited.

wonderful song.....and they play it really fast this time
when the head is not prepared for success that's what happens, d'arcy and chamberlain couldn't handle it and thats why they broke up. i am very thankfull they did not ended and that billy continue to put that genius of his into work and bring some of the best music that i've ever heard!!
stunner ! got even better over the years !
The tempo is a bit too fast compared to the original version, it's a little rushed, original clocks in at 04:14
Probably had a big setlist, but Billy was always a perfectionist, which is abit bemusing.

Johnny Marr !
The effect he is using is called a ebow
my fav song from MACHINA, SMASHING PUMPKINS!!! u're mine forever!!!
Such a difficult song to sing, which he does it with ease. Awesome!
they got pace
I wish the pumpkins will bring back Iha and Darcy. The original was the best.
I wouldnt fret about the line up changes.William Corgan will get the band he needs. The new drummer is incredible just gotta let him spread his wings on the next album.
@Olancho61 works fine for me. try watching it on the lower quality.
"also if i think that SP's best line up was: Corgan- Iha- Auf Der Maur- Chamberlain and not with D'arcy" - Have they even recorded one single song with Auf der Maur on bass? - I don't think so...
D'Arcy was/is more than just a bass player
"who wouldn't be the one you loved"
Too fast but till so beaut!!!
ginger sling, shes a good bassist ,an a hottie!
I actually like this version better than the studio one. Billys voice isn't as good but I like the faster tempo.
I also like the guitar intro compared to the drum intro, which seems to bring it down for me.
2:19 :-D
Jeff! Schroeder!
My fav. lineup also. MaDM really brought the rock.
GreetTheSacredCow That’s not Melissa Auf der Maur on bass; it’s Ginger Reyes.
i was talking also of live line up....as musician Melissa Auf der Maur is better than D'arcy about my opinion
this bassist is neither of those women, though…
Why is it so fast lol
This is true... and don't call me Shirley.
what drum they use. sound nice. i want to buy
+segar tulen jimmy chamberlain
Yamaha Jimmy Chamberlin signature
Billy Corgan, Nicole Richie and Nicholas Cage. cool.
Who is this bassist? Another one of his flings?
When did John Cusack join the Samshing Pumpkins? roflmao @Emmenite
Why in a hurry😀
ebow with a long delay..
billy looks like he could be the son of the guy from the shield
Not the same band minis D'Arcy and James Iha.
Holy tempo change from original
does somebody know the tabs of the solo? i know the original but this version sounds much better for me
who's the girl in the bass-vocals??
Ginger Reyes
人間はそもそも危ういバランスの生き物と思わせてくれる曲、……ちょっと速いな…😅
It's called an ebow.
they never show the hot chick enough
Desperate much?
If you must, her name is Ginger Pooley - google image it your sad c**t.
Nicholas Cage on guitar?
Played way too fast
How does he look like Nicholas Cage?
