"I don't do anything fancy," he says, with the back drop of the reciprocal roof, earthbag walls, with cob and homemade lyme wash and bespoke hobbit door! You vastly under value your skill and abilities. I thoroughly enjoy all that you do and appreciate your 'will do' attitude. God bless you.
Kris is not someone building a self sustained off grid home to keep himself safe when the collapse comes he is actually an artist and what you are witnessing is the creation of a work of art, art that has value beyond money.
Hi Kris, Dot, Snoop, hope you are all well. Awesome work as usual Kris. Workshop is looking amazing and what a nice place to spend some time creating. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work. 👍🖖😎😺🐔
I guess the current events reinforce your point on how we should maybe go back to basics and learn self-reliance and sustainability. Excited to see what you have planned for the double doors mate. Stay safe and healthy.
I wish i had one tiny piece of your brain! Your are incredibly gifted and very blessed! Can’t believe how many of your videos I’ve watched. Stay sage. Many blessings.
That bench looks fantastic Kris. The wide planks are astounding. You will certainly have a very functional woodshop eventually with all of your well thought out projects. Running the slide rails through the wall with a box planned for dust control is a great way to preserve space. Mitre saws are a very space consuming tool with the slide rails out behind.
At the moment... in quarantine... you're postings are even more appreciated than in "normal" times... but... How is that a thing!?! 🤪 Keep up the good work 👍👍👍
The one thing that I noticed watching the video was just how quiet the workshop is when the doors are closed, I couldn't hear a single noise from the outside world not even the birds!!!. I'm looking forward to seeing the top workshop added on as its darn awesome as it is , wishing I had stayed single and decided to take my life in a different direction each time I watch one of kris's video projects, jealousy starts to creep in!!!!. Looking damn good kris keep up the great work!👍👍👍
You're a breath of fresh air- with every video you publish. Your dedicated skills, your thorough and thoughtful design and work all show. Thank you. I also second the comment about the possibility of a tool sharpening tutorial.
Thanks dude. I still really love your content. Watch every minute of every video. I never really comment, but just wanted to let you know that there are probably a whole lot of people like me that do really like your positive and inspiring life/content without letting you know all that often. So thanks on behalf of them I suppose :) Cheers
The legs are beautiful, the work bench would be desirable by most ... I would love a video of your sharpening station and see how that works. I've never seen a sharpener like the one you have. Thanks for the video Kris. Stay well.
Nice to watch a genuinely nice person going about his work in this not so very nice times. What you are doing Kris is a much appreciated relief. Thank you
Great job Kris. You know what I like about watching you work? You live in a field, but you use the precision of an engineer in everything you do. That shows alot of character also. Pride in what you do. Enjoy the videos.
Thanks Kris great video and workshop👏 seen the welder tucked under the bench, hope you build a small welding table from steel always hand to have 👍🏻🏴
Always a joy watching your video's Kris. I love your improvisational skills, forever thinking on your feet. Cracking job on the bench. The workshop is looking awesome. All the very best to you and Dot ( and the cat :-) ) and keep the updates coming through these strange, trying times brother. Stay well. Pete x
Lovely bit of leg work there mate! I like the jointing of the bench top too and a good idea to keep the bench height the same, much more convenient when working with large material. Good to see you are not too worried about cutting holes in the wall for clearance....some armchair builders would be up in arms...and you can almost hear the keyboards rattling with comments about PPE right now lol....this is a Vlog, not a how to video! I'm not the least bit jealous of the workshop.....honest...lol
I have the sorby sharpener too its brilliant, I had a Tormek but it was very slow. I like the Sorby its great just to touch up a chisel with in a few seconds and you're back to work!
Always enjoyable how you can find a simple solution to something that sounds complicated, Like shortening the legs on the workbench with the chainsaw :). Love your videos and being along for the journey. Keep em coming!!
Looking good Kris, I would recommend that you tie the workbench into the wall so that it doesn't move around on you when you move heavy things around on it, you want your work surfaces to be stiff and stable. :-)
Looks great Kris, really liked the forked leg. Having the tables all at the same height is a really good idea and well worth the effort of cutting down the legs.
brilliant Ash is a beautiful tree almost as common as a weed in South Wales and doesn't need to be seasoned.Like the sharper could you please do a tutorial on how to sharpen your tools. Thanks for being you
I love the things you create and yes it helps having your channel and others to keep me entertained while I am staying isolated. Thank you so much for posting your great works
I have only recently started viewing RUclips and I have found amazing content on various subjects, but that door you made out of sleepers stunning ! I like your skill and use of modern tools, and use of what you find .Keep up great work, and in view of this latest devastating virus you are going in the right direction. I bet there's a lot of people who never thought of a situation like this, and I'll admit to being one of them good luck you deserve it
Never half ass 2 things. Whole ass one thing. Lovely work as usual, and good job on camera angle concealing the next project on your work table, sneaky bagginses ;P
Nice job Kris, bench is looking awesome! That hand planing though! Oucha! What a workout! Thanks for posting the compelling content as always, it's great to see it all coming together for you guys.
Great content as usual Kris. Awesome to see your various projects coming together, your channel growing, and your mane of hair becoming more regal each month :)
I'm in London, life is normal, some people are social distancing, but on the whole, the sheeple are pretty thick. Amazing work space. Most people would go for straight legs, just look at the time and energy saved and they look beautiful. You could have the dust collector box under the saw, just an idea. 👍
Oh my goodness! I just love watching the progression of your house and shops and other buildings. It's so much fun to share in your progress. I love the creativity! Using the art of God's creation to transfer over into what you build is just, well...a wonder to see.
I love how you’re making your workshop ... I have to admit ... when I saw those fantastic doors, I ended up going back and reading The Hobbit again ... even though your doors weren’t round, much of your carpentry reminds me of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Fantastic work, AND imagination ❤️
Thanks for this Kris, I'm isolating at present as I have lung problems, so it's very therapeutic to get back to nature through your videos. It's great to see you making such wonderful progress. Take care mate.
Whenever you say "Coming Along", I always think of the last line to the Supertramp song 'School'...;-) Planed a potting table for my Sis last week, knackered I was...Nice work Kris.
Thanks, working at home for the duration. feeling blessed that I Can. have been going to all of my SUB YTs and thanking them for the great job Before and Now.😁👍🏾
I love how Kris says ‘ I need some legs for this table so I will just go out and chop some skinny old trees down’. No going to the lumber yard and pricing out legs costing $500 each or some ridiculous price. Kris just goes shop in his back yard and makes something beautiful out of that skinny old tree. I love how Kris does that.
Great vid. Been watching for years, and I still cannot get over the moss growing on everything. It's like an alge covered fish tank that's been drained. Guess you gotta know your leaves more than bark for tree ID.
Nothing special to comment Kris I just continue to follow your videos and enjoy seeing things progressing. It's a bit like calling round to a mate's place and seeing whatever new stuff he's built...
Great job Kris looks good in there. I was just thinking about when you first started building your house how few tools and things you had and what you have been able to accumulate over a relatively short time keep up the good work stay safe and healthy !!!!
Totally agree
Not to mention the amazing bespoke window
And constructs a love harp for his nearest and dearest!
You left out the part where he built his own lumber mill, and hydroelectric plant, both from scratch.
Kris is not someone building a self sustained off grid home to keep himself safe when the collapse comes he is actually an artist and what you are witnessing is the creation of a work of art, art that has value beyond money.
Thank you. what a lovely thing to say.
so true.
Either that or he's makin a work bench
@@martynferguson633, Nice one 🤣🤣🤣
Andrew Bellew I agree.
Hi Kris, Dot, Snoop, hope you are all well. Awesome work as usual Kris. Workshop is looking amazing and what a nice place to spend some time creating. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work. 👍🖖😎😺🐔
You are teaching people all over the world how to make the things they need for almost free. Bravo 👏
Very much appreciating your craftsmanship skills and artistry and dedication to self reliance.
I guess the current events reinforce your point on how we should maybe go back to basics and learn self-reliance and sustainability. Excited to see what you have planned for the double doors mate. Stay safe and healthy.
I enjoy your videos. You are very talanted, decent and polite person. Our world needs more people like you. Greetings from Azerbaijan.

really appreciate the condition of your tools - and having a designated 'sharpening station' is exactly why! Your 'not-fancy' has style! Nicely done.
You're a breath of fresh air- with every video you publish. Your dedicated skills, your thorough and thoughtful design and work all show. Thank you.

Love the sound of your tools especially the big chisel, thanks for great clogs.
