- What would you do if someone could instantly tell you your deepest fears and desires? This episode flips the script on House MD and helps us understand what drives our new cast. All of this while still taking us on the whacky journey that we love House for. In this video, I discuss:
Sudden airway spasm
Sympathetic vs. parasympathetic nervous system
Professional relationships in hospital
Sources of conflict
Mirror Syndrome
Black pus
Erythema ab igne
and many many more!

Crazy diagnosis at the end of the video!
Yeah, never heard of _Mycoplasma suis_ myself. There's _Brucella suis_ though, as far as being close enough goes. Still a good call sir.
I suspect House's experience is that almost all nurses are angry, since when he meets them they are also meeting him.
One of my favorite episodes. The writers did an incredible job of presenting a problem that both met the requisite formula of the show, but also allowed character insight into the myriad of characters they had introduced. Organic, simple, elegant - great writing.
Fun fact, water itself is actually an insulator, as it does not conduct electricity. When you add minerals to it, that's when it becomes a great conductor.
I remember liking this one a lot.
Weirdest symptom I can recall is giving bad scented candle reviews*.
Appreciate your constant efforts on this. Always click immediately!
It's cool that you occasionally learn something but your knowledge seems vast!
* that were a leading indicator of the covid pandemic.
probably may favorite episode, but im not sure why. perhaps it was the patient actor's impressions of the others. the way he sounded just like wilson in the surgery room. or the way he acted like the tougher of the 2 muggers, the fear when he was 13 etc.
The weirdest thing Iv every heard of was when I was watching a documentary about unusual medical conditions & “maple syrup urine disease” came up. A kid had it. Cannot remember if they survived or not though.
They're missing a key enzyme to process an amino acid the body cannot make, and so it all gets peed out as waste. Kids with MSUD hardly survive long.
A nurse in motion outranks a doctor at his desk
Absolutely!
This is such a fun season! :D Loving watching these again with you, Doc. :)
love this season- great vid
"I was right but for all the wrong reasons".
Yup, fits the show.
Awesome! I always love these vids!
What Makes Nurses Angry: Reason 5 - Lack of respect and poor attitude/communication skills from doctors…🤔
my favorit is Alien hand-syndrome
Weirdest syndromes? Dr. Strangelove syndrome, Cotard's syndrome, Fatal Familiar Insomnia (is it even a syndrome?) are the first ones that come to mind, but there are certainly many others.
Cotard's is so bizarre..
Culture-bound syndrome is weirdest on my list!
