I get it, but it was too late. Beth should have blasted Eric months ago, when she first learned about their relationship. Should have called her daughter and Eric out. But Beth then didn't. Now, one moment Beth wants Brooke to leave the US with the baby because Eric according to Beth won't do the right thing to Brooke and the child (the child shouldn't suffer the stigmata of being illegitimate), in the next moment Beth blasts Eric for now marrying Brooke and giving the child a family with parents married to each other. That anger should have been vented right away and not now, when Beth uses the "innocent child" card at the same time while still trying to break Eric and Brooke up and to reunite with her great love.

The character Beth had a masectomy and the writers should have included that like many women at that time it was devastating and she was insecure about her body. Even without the mastectomy a plain looking woman with 50+ year old body vs a beautiful early 20-year-old body and an older man, with the exception of Prince Charles ;-( wouldn't have stood a chance.

I am from Europe. - My grandmother had her oldest child in 1938 without being married (boyfriend refused to marry her) and then it still had been an issue/ a stigmata. - But it wasn't the same anymore for my parent's generation (people in the 70s didn't care that much anymore if a mother was raising a child without being married). - And definitely no issue in the 90s.
An episode with women calling the men out - Beth reminding Eric how he had once wanted her and not her daughter - Taylor calling Ridge out why he had stopped calling her and chasing her at least one of the woman got a passionate kiss and had a real smile in the end (even when she supposedly just had been angry about Ridge calling her the aggressor and using her medical degree to continuously check on him)
Think of this situation: you marry the man your mom loves her whole live. I think the relationship between mom&daughter will never be the same.. and who is to blame? A MAN! Is it worth it? For sure Beth is really mad about the situation, hard to hndle. And to the writers: the situation with eric coming in... 😬😬😬😬😬 damn good drama writing.. well done to the Bells

But it had been a different version and one who still had been very close to her daughter and hurting too for Brooke, when Brooke then told Beth that Eric was returning to Stephanie. I am not very happy about the Logan family recasts, as the writing even made them act as if strangers had returned (and not just a different actor playing still the same character).

Her betrayal of Bridgette is indefensible, as is her betrayal of Beth. The character Brooke has demonstrated a complete disregard for the sanctity of marriage, lacks respect of familial relationships, instead of blurred lines she has blurred pages. How many times has she pursued other women's husbands? That she really didn't love them was irrelevant.
Is Taylor treating Jake? If so, she should not be openly discussing his mental health with Felicia. Taylor ignores so many boundaries. Only in Soap Opera land can a psychiatrist violate so many ethical codes and keep a license.
The Forresters and their love interests don't take it that serious with work contracts and being employed or working for free. Taylor according to her words to Felicia isn't working in her second speciality - psychiatry - at the moment. But that didn't stop Taylor to become the Forresters's non-official shrink on call (first for grieving Ridge, now for Felicia/reluctant Jake). Jake never agreed to any counseling - but Felicia discussed him with her shrink friend Taylor and Taylor even went to his place on her own.
Same with Lauren Kaslow who plays Margo. You see her on Days as Kate, she really messed up her looks too. I know kkl she said has some eye work done, botex but she still looks natural, like herself. Very hard for a woman in Hollywood to age!

Eric told Beth he was returning to Steph, then and only then did Beth agree to go to Paris with her husband. Brooke also encouraged Beth towards towards her father.

Beth told Eric that she loves Eric but that she misses Stephen (and so she was returning to Paris). Eric moved on because Beth had given Eric the impression that she had moved on too and was happy with her husband and choosing Stephen over another chance with Eric.
Exactly Beth has her chance and told Eric just before Christmas she was happily married to Stephen which was a big lie....she taught Eric would Wait around forever

Reminds me of the episode in which Eric suggested to Beth that they would get a very big house for their family and that even her mother-in-law (another Helen) could live with them. Bill only had to spend some days with his mother-in-law, Margo's mother, and he already wants her gone.

I gotta say Taylor is a very Un-likable character in her early days on the show. At least in my opinion. I know she was kind of intended as the “new” Caroline on the show, she isn’t at all likable like Caroline was.
I never realized how two-faced Taylor was in her beginnings - leading Storm on while clearly having a thing for Ridge. As Taylor would have been written a few years later, she would have broken things off with Storm the minute she realized she had feelings for Ridge. And Marla Adams is a powerhouse actress, but her Beth is far too hard and cold compared to Beth's previous incarnations.
This is not cute at all. Taylor again demanding Ridge to call her. Ridge rightly called her out she is chasing him through him and his family. She is transprent this looks like a love story forced by the writers.
l think Taylor is even more in love with Ridge than Brooke. At least they chose a real handsome guy ro be the playboy in this show. 9.20 I love how Taylor very wisely gives advice to Felicia but then she kisses one day Storm and the next Ridge.
That's a theme in this show. Ridge kisses Taylor and then broke, and Conner kisses Karen and then Brooke.
She does not have to be exclusive, she is not in a committed relation with any of these two and they are aware she is dating both.

Eric told Beth he was returning to Steph, then and only then did Beth agree to go to Paris with her husband. Brooke also encouraged Beth towards towards her father.

Beth in that episode (694) told Eric that she had thought about it but that Stephen and Beth then had a very good marriage and Stephen had been a wonderful husband to her and that she was happy then. Beth told Eric that she loves Eric but that she misses Stephen (and so she was returning to Paris).
Eric moved on because Beth had given Eric the impression that she had moved on too and was happy with her husband and choosing Stephen over another chance with Eric.

I never realized how two-faced Taylor was in her beginnings - leading Storm on while clearly having a thing for Ridge. As Taylor would have been written a few years later, she would have broken things off with Storm the minute she realized she had feelings for Ridge. And Marla Adams is a powerhouse actress, but her Beth is far too hard and cold compared to Beth's previous incarnations.
Storm knew, that's why he proposed and she was not ready but he asked her to try the ring. So he knew. No betrayal here.
