There were two episodes of Harrigan and Son. Once was called Mother Was A Nightclub Singer in which Jimmy or Junior, falls and dates a beautiful night club named Monica Nelson, much to Senior Harrigan s chargin. Also, there was a episode called The Manly Art, in which Jimmy or Junior, in an effort to help a prize boxer named Brennan, goes underground by posing as a boxer. Roger Perry shows off his singing in the first one and his muscular skills in the second. Maybe Perry was either had his shirt off or on in The Manly Art.

The lady with the braid was Georgine Darcy, better known as "Miss Torso" from Hitchcock's Rear Window.

A few years after this came a short-lived brand of cigarette called Tennyson, whose jingle used this same tune - and might possibly have been sung by the male chorus from "Sing Along With Mitch": "T-E-double N-Y, S-O-N spells Tennyson / Here's a menthol taste you'll want to stay with / Taste a man can go from day to day with / T-E-double N-Y, S-O-N it's true / Put a charcoal tip on a new menthol cigarette / Tennyson - for you!"

While Desilu had several series on ABC, only one, The Untouchables, was successful.
But once its name changed to Paramount Television in 1968, it soon would start a long and successful relationship with ABC that lasted into the early 1990s.

I thought there was a connection between ABC and Paramount. Actually, there were two transactions indirectly involving the studio and ABC.

I remember this show since it was the lead-in to The Flintstones; a nearly fifty-eight year old memory. I also recall my parents citing that The Flintstones, while it was an animated show, wasn't for the kiddies.

Long, long ago as a kid at my friend's house after school, we never got to watch this show but only saw these ending credits as the song played. Then we watched reruns of "Amos 'n Andy" and "The Life of Riley".
