I always found matched grip much harder to play. The few times that I played drum kit I always used the traditional left hand grip - probably because it had become instinctive after years of playing in a corps of drums.

Irish guards? The accent sounds Irish when the Drum Major shouted "Quick March!" Btw, the marches are "Hazelmere" and "The Adjutant"
Thank God the Brits haven't adopted the Secret Swiss Drum Corps type of drum. So Yank!

of course
Hazelmere

Traditional grip left hand is hard enough sitting behind a kit let alone marching
darren colburn easier to march with that grip . especially when the drums are at the side
