Erin’s design wasn’t so bad at all, I’ve seen celebrities wearing something like this in VMAs, AMA or the golden globes & there were other far worse designs. I just thought the judges were just trying to show other designers that they don’t have favoritism.

No it was bad. Brocade and chicken feathers? It was a cheap looking dress for an older woman in another era. Looked a bit like a SNL costume. And it was not what she does at all. Erin is a better designer on paper than she is in execution. She mostly glues things to scuba fabric.
He did Mah-Jing dirty with his wedding dress design tho, I still don't get why he gave him so much shade for such an amazing and intricate design! Poor guy almost got kicked out for the alternative...

AND let's not forget how the guest judge and zac was applauding Natalia for her IDEA of thinking outside the box..I'm like what?? And i really did not think Dexter's was bad at all...Natalia's looked like she sewed it in a dark tunnel.

It was so stylish and the back was a unique, gorgeous cut and where the leather met the heavy black silk on the front bodice of the dress was even more impressive dressmaking than her beautiful quilted shoulders. But the hem was crooked and it was a sleeveless shift dress with fabric-store embellishments tacked on. The judges were right. Not a great showing from anyone. Except......Laurence.

I think Heidi's 'coping' accusations is too harsh but i can't lied though that has some truth to it, Jenni didn't show much of her aesthetics and identity technical besides she loved mix alot of fabric around (her neon Hanna lucite jacket was something...) so it can confuse them but that doesn't me she thief though😂. For me Laurence takes the cake, Rik cute but i didn't want to wear apron inspired to party but kudos to his creative cuz this week everyone go so safe and fear of go outside their own box.

I'm shocked that Natalia is still in AFTER THAT HORRENDOUS dress..seriously baffled. I'm not hating on Jenni, but Laurence had a more finished and polished look.
I actually love Jenni's dress. The applique looks like gold dripping, a great balance of spontaneous and deliberate. The silhouette is also very modern. I think I did not like it when I watched the episode 3 yrs ago, but I totally get it now. Very forward-thinking. Not the best execution of the applique (I think there were some white? parts that could have been trimmed) but it doesn't take away from the idea.
I like the guest judge. She really gave constructive criticism.
