After things were ok and turning around with Bo, Pearlman kinda force Osborne into retirement along with not letting Osborne help pick the new AD. He did say that Eichorst did not know what Nebraska sports, therefore Bo was gone, our athletic department was split. The day Eichorst was fired, I was so happy. Though I questioned the Bill Moos hire, hiring Tom Osborne say he trusted him and also hiring Chancellor Green, President Bounds gives reason to believe we are on track in Husker Sports. Green and Bounds are willing to help but yet saw what Moos did therefore they said do what you need to do, and we’ll back you up.
Unless he has back to back top 5 recruiting classes, the program is going nowhere. He'll have 3 star recruits and walk-ons pumped up to win games, but will not win a natty. Nebraska is a tough place to recruit. Especially if its not a pipeline to the pros like it is in Alabama, USC, Ohio State, etc.
Dave Lau give it time, we used to be that way and he can be since he knows what it takes to get to that level having played at Nebraska and then playing for some time in the NFL

If Wisconsin can win 10 games a year Nebraska definitely has what it takes to do so. Not a Nebraska fan but there are some big parallels there.
