These kids ate wholesome meals of beef and vegetables, not Fast Food. On the football field no kid from any other way of life can in any way match the raw power developed over a childhood of hard work performed daily on a farm and the good nutrition provided by the country cooking of a Nebraska mother. There will be no need for Husker Nation to make excuses for scandalous behaviour to keep winning. That's a part of football culture that needs to be squashed flat. I've had a few goes with other Husker fans over Pelini. I'm having a go with a few Buckeye fans now. I'm proudest of all about our reputation as "The Nicest Fans in the NCAA". We should never excuse Pelini like behaviour in any leader. Even untested I would choose Frosty over Meyer every time. I'm looking forward to watching our climb in the ranks over the next few years. I'd like to see some tailgate vids, especially if Husker fans tailgating wity fans from the opposition. Any know who posts those?

With every power five team that has every game on TV the appeal of playing for Nebraska is gone. There are far more attractive schools to play for than in the middle of no where Nebraska. Nebraska is never going to be what it was in the 90s.

I agree, its kind of like so many Texas recruits deciding not to go to Texas or leave the state. Kids don't care much about program history or tradition, its why schools like Oregon and Baylor got so hot..times have changes...elite players aren't going to a place like Nebraska lol.

Also, pretty sure 9 of the 11 offensive starters for Nebraska's 97 National Championship team were born and raised in Nebraska. That's another thing Nebraska stopped doing was getting home grown walk ons that played with heart, and recruiting in state. People think there is no talent in Nebraska which is dead wrong.
