June we might hear from them twice a week :D
I thought the podcast was over I got scared
@@darriusbethea2373 you and me both man
The sound design with the guns was superb, got me a few times in the theater which is exactly how a random shot would affect you irl.
Missed my nerd soup fam!
I'm starting to get worried that y'all aren't going to be around for HotD. Miss y'all.
Dmmm man been waiting for y'all to drop
Ruben FKA Beau Oliver, we’re glad y’all are back 🫶
I'm missing my soup!!! You guys are awesome, hope you know
Can’t believe you guys aren’t making House of The Dragon videos.
Bo Oliver is dead? What the heck?
The artist formally known as Bo Oliver.
@@johnbutler7567 I’m just really upset that the little blue guy is living on a farm upstate.
Reminds me a little bit of Nightcrawler with how you referenced the adrenaline junkie
Thank you. Feel like I’m listening to a review of the movie I saw and appreciated because it was different from how it’s been done before. Thank you for mentioning it's more Jessie than Lee that seems to lack humanity - she couldn't even offer Sammy comfort in the back seat
we need a pod on the rest of invincible please
Glad you guys are back, Could you talk about Francis Coppolas "Megalopolis"?
I wish there was an X-men 97 reaction
Welcome back, hope the new Game of Thornes --Dragon one you guys do a review
Really enjoyed this movie. As a non-American, i thought it was an interesting choice to make it "a-political" (even though it is extremely political, just not red state/blue state political). It makes it accessible to people not informed on US politics, but more importantly, it allows us to really explore the nature of a civil war without the baggage of our real life context.
Hectic - was hoping you guys would drop a review
Great video, keep it up boisss
Great review! A friend and I had a similar argument / convo about the movie directly after seeing it.
My biggest gripe was the complete lack of any backstory leading up to the movie, besides what you're given through the characters. When you do finally figure out what this movie is about thematically, its pretty decent.
I actually thought the lack of any political stance being embedded in the film was supposed to mirror the journalist characters' opinions about being indifferent and the way she thinks about what she does.
That last shot reminds me of that picture of Pablo Escobar after they killed him
Video about GEN V... PLEASE!
Man I been waitin...who y'all rollin with Drake or Kendrick? We need the big philosophical questions answered 🤣🤣🤣
I liked this movie a lot. The assault on DC triggered mild ptsd but overall I thought the pacing and realism was solid. it took me a while to process what this was trying to say but I am glad it didnt attempt to weigh in on the state of american politics and instead used the main characters as a lens into the absurdity of war.
Yea it reminded me of may 29 2020
Shame it was a slog with awful acting and dialogue
miss u guys, bring back the podcast
I liked most of the movie, but the end didnt stick for me. It just seemed nonsensical. I think there was a better way to execute it.
The characters aren’t a stand in for our POV I don’t think. I think we’re meant to accompany them as opposed to identify with them, and for me that worked. Kind of genius alchemy if you ask me.
The metaphor about the adult saying they're gonna beat up the kid and the centrist saying both sides are crazy was a braindead take.
It seems that not too many folks are familiar with the "boogaloo" movement and its aesthetic, which is a good thing IMO. If you're familiar with it you'd see the symbols that the film makers use to imply which combatants are fighting for which side.
Sadly, I know
Is that why his name is Ruben now?
Love ya !
Keep it coming !
They are making an episode 10 for star wars?
South land tales was fun
I feel like Lawrence of Arabia Could have a remake, i am 23, never seen the movie but know the legend
the fall off of nerd soup uploads needs to be studied
What do you mean fall off?
@@NTWoo95 Look at their upload schedule. They barely upload anymore and when they do it’s on shitty topics. Not to mention there’s barely any effort anymore. They feel so monotone and bored during videos.
Mmmm… good soup 🥣
Tarantino Vietnam Movie Would Be Great
GILJP
(God I love Jesse Plemmons)
What’s up with this channel?
they completely fell off. inconsistent uploads and they lack the same motivation. tbh i’m unsubscribing since 2017
@@CodySterio2005 yeah it’s not like there isn’t new content to review. The channel was seemingly doing very well.
This movie seems perfect for streaming
it was excellent on the big screen. The sound design was incredible along with the cinematographer
@@brendtbarbur2318 It's been a while since I have been to the movies, but hearing those gunshots, you felt them. And then there was the apache.
@@brendtbarbur2318Felt like a B movie. No idea how it got on the big screen
The Acolyte is exactly what would happen if someone asked A.I. to "make a Star Wars show that will actually destroy any remaining interest."
One of the worst films one can watch. Such a dead nothing film.
Awful dialogue, average to awful acting, and a valid plot. I’m amazed that there is any praise at all for this film barring the visuals.
:(
Politically, Garland has revealed himself to be aligned with "Centrist" nonsense, but that doesn't mean he's a talentless hack. The film sounds good.
The fact that you guys felt such identification with the combatants reminds me of the critique made by *insert French guy here* that it's impossible to make an anti-War film.
I forgot which French guy and am too lazy to Google it.
How do you figure? He made it clear Offerman's president was Trump. He abolished the FBI, stayed a third term, used violence against his opponents, massacred antifa, bloviated constantly (multiple mentions of this).
"There are no good sides in a civil war" is hardly centrist. In fact, I found the ambiguity refreshing. Several times (looters gas station scene, sniper scene and mass grave scene) they made it clear no one was on a side. The only time there was a clear faction was the camp at Charlottesville and onward. That there are no winners in a civil war is just straight talk, not centrist as you claim.
Star wars old republic would go so hard
I must admit that I haven't listened to you blokes since your GoT reviews, but you've got some smooooth voices, and I generally find Yankie accents quite annoying.
I rly thought u guys would be doing fallout
