What a humble man...I have tears in my eyes as I hear him. We don't know the specifics of what happens inside the family , but nothing can justify a son treating his father in this manner.
Sadly happens in most families with the majority being in poorer families. The old adage comes to mind "Money doesn't buy you happiness". Yes as was mentioned my son would love to see me on the Roadside which happens to the majority of Indians who are from poor backgrounds. Indians also put too much emphasis on families when arranged marriages are concerned and no mention of the individuals as Senior Singahinia alluded to.
He himself is scion of one of the oldest and richest Marwari business families of India. He inherited vast amounts of wealth from his family too. Yes he increased it even further and in that sense he can be said to be an accomplished businessman.

I just watched this video and listened to the whole conversation with Shri.Vijaypat Singhania. It really touched my heart and in a couple of moments I could feel the melting heart of Shri Singhania especially when he said that even though Gautam Singhania had come to their house the day before and met his mother, he didn't bother to talk to Shri. Singhania or even look at him. It was also very disheartening to listen when he said that Gautam will be very happy to see Shri.Singhania on the road!!! I have never ever read or heard any real life heart burning stories as disturbing or as cruel as this one. Gautam Singhania is definitely not a normal human being. He is surely a Devil or an Animal!!! I pray to God that Gautam must lose this legal battle even he appoints the best lawyer in the country to fight this case. Based on my close experiences with such happening in other big wealthy families , the advice is to make a successful company professional. Nowadays generation has no interest in legacies that would be handed over to them nor sufficient competence to manage. The best way is to create legal structures that separate management from ownership so that the legacy passes to coming generations. The biggest failing is unrealistic expectations & excessive attachment to the children.

It's truly an heart aching factor for a wonderful parent of hard earned respectful personality, rather unbelievable that a spouse who should have been standing beside him has cruelly abandoned him. Time is a magnificent teacher and by the time he realises it will be too late and tough thing for the son so deeply loved by his father that he has lost an invaluable gem .

"Power of Money" he nailed it.....once they get it they unleash their narcissistic self ,which would have been guarded through adolescence and young adulthood merely because they are financially dependent....
Based on my close experiences with such happening in other big wealthy families , the advice is to make a successful company professional. Nowadays generation has no interest in legacies that would be handed over to them nor sufficient competence to manage. The best way is to create legal structures that separate management from ownership so that the legacy passes to coming generations. The biggest failing is unrealistic expectations & excessive attachment to the children.
