Years ago, I found and bought a machine cut kit at the local Flea Market. It was called the Bow Tie. It has this same pattern as the 1933 Bat Block. Two of the wings were cut from a beautiful floral print; and, the other two wings were cut from a matching plaid. All the center squares were cut from a navy blue solid; (nave blue was also in the print and plaid) but, all the navy squares squares had been cut lopsided. So, I bought yardage and cut all new navy blue, center squares. I had no trouble sewing the Y seams. All the blocks came out the same. There were enough blocks to make a double bed quilt. It was a lot of fun to sew that top on my Singer 301. The finished quilt was very pleasing to look at. I gave it to my daughter (who gave it away). Thank you for this pattern and video.
